This place is horrible. Half of the staff are friendly, but not the rest. The pool is very dirty, and the the pool always gets filled that the life guards have to kick people out. Most people dont even wet themselves before going to the pool, and they dont wear the proper swimming suit. People at the hot tub spits and its very disgusting. Also, the pool is very dirty. The showers are very dirty too. People dont even clean up their own mess, (including the towels) and also the swimming suit dryer machine is always broken. They also pee everywhere around the bathroom. The gym is very smelly/dirty, like they dont clean the machine after they use it. Im not sure about the personal trainer because I havent tried it yet. The kid zones are okay, its just smelly, and mostly teenagers are babysitting the kids that go there. Their wellness fitness is okay, I mean Zumba is good. Toning, and the rest, I havent took the class yet. The crowd that goes here (the membership) is pretty rude. Some kids are very annoying as heck. The person who hires people is (I think) racist. All the workers is like majority African American, and a few other races. I dont suggest anyone to go to this YMCA.

Its the worst place ever...., trainers are "Rude", when you need assistant takes for ever to get one after tow times you going to the front desk, so few machines to workout and you will loose your time and your money by waiting the rude people to finish their work out because they dont share the machines while they taking their rest ....!, showers so dirty and nasty condoms on the floor and I heard people having sex at the family showers, showers are always leaking or not working or people stealing it, towels on the floor and no maintenance for the showers, dont know whats wrong with those people.......!, After all I cancelled my membership and will finds something more professional place with friendly environment, This place is a big joke.

Ive gone to this gym for a few years now. Its really declined though. Its extremely dirty and unkept. The machines are often out of order/broken. The gym is too small too handle the after work rush, but thats quite common with other gyms too. The ventilation is inept. Its local and provides the basics and is very inexpensive. No one seems to clean anything and the wear is really starting to show. Very outdated. If they invest in new machines, a few more benches and deep clean the whole place its still salvageable. If its a revenue issue they need to cut administrative staffing. There are some nice employees at front desk though.

We love the Matt Griffin Y! Membership cost is reasonable and assistance is available for low income; and there are tons of free classes included with membership. Favorite group exercise instructors are Philomena T. and Deb K., both wonderful. Fitness room does get crowded at times, of course, like all gyms. Best at off-hours weekday early mornings and late evenings. We have never had a problem with cleanliness of the facility. Weve had a family membership for four or five years, my elderly father even attends some of the senior classes with us.

Today went swimming for first time in months. Poolside littered with papers, threads, globs of hair. Womens shower room had dirty towels in stalls and on floor, one area on floor @ entrance nearest the hamper by first stall, had what appeared to be blood on the floor. I see people cleaning outside the pool, but not around pool or in shower room. It should be done much more frequently than it is and maybe if people with long hair had to wear caps, there wouldnt be so many hair globs. Ugh!

Its basic and clean, the people are... Not awful, but not great either. Its honestly boring, doesnt feel welcoming. I moved out of the area, and in order to cancel my membership I have to come back there and cancel in person despite what other facilities had told me (also, you can visit any of them, but only cancel at the one you signed up at). Not pleased with the incompetencies of the people I spoke on the phone with, they were baffled by the simplest tasks.

I recently took advantage of the three month free membership. The enrolling process was quite simply, the staff at the front desk were very professional, the tour guild was quite knowledgeable. The thing that impressed me the most was the feeling of community. In light of what is happening in this country, this YMCA Fosters a feeling of strong community. I got a strong impression of inclusion for all. There is so much diversity here.

There is a swimming pool and classes are fairly regular. However if u have a child under 4 it is very difficult to work out. They only have teenagers working at night and they have absolutely no experience with children. They just hang out unless a kid cries and then try to soothe them. There is no playing or distracting. I was quite disappointed with the lack of help.

This facility is fairly nice - I especially like the pool and the staff are friendly. Its not a good deal for single adults. I pay more than I would for nicer gyms and then find myself crowded out by high schoolers using the equipment for gym class or family swimming lessons. I only belong because its near work - otherwise Id go elsewhere.

This gym is too expensive to be a member .total rip off .i better join LA fitness which is less cheaper.here at YMCA they charged $45 each month for 2 months of which I never attended a single day due to commitments.

I hate to give a bad review but if it dont meet my standards i will have to let it be known. This facility has a terrible refund policy and be careful before handing them over cash. Other than that Merry Christmas

Used the pool and hot tub and family change rooms, the pool was cool in temp, hot tub was warm, and the change rooms were clean, the exhaust fans didnt work in room 4 and 5. Great staff and lifeguards

They would rather close the basketball gym to make money off of birthday parties then to let kids who just want to play basketball play. The YMCA doesnt care.
