Just do not go here (even if your insurance prefers it). They quoted 6 days to repair scratches and some parts that need to be replaced after my car was stolen. After a week and a half I called in (because they never called me with updates as advertised). They stated they received 2 wrong parts and would have to wait another 4 days for those parts to arrive. When those parts came 1 was correct and the other was still incorrect. At 13 business days after I brought the car in I went to the shop to pick the car up as is, and was planning on bringing the car back at a later point when the other part arrived. When I got there, I noticed they did not replace the rear left tail light (although they charged my insurance for it) and also the "new" bumper they replaced mine with had small scratches and signs of wear. I conceded that I was fine with the used bumper they replaced mine with and would bring the car back for the tail light and the other interior part to be repaired once they arrived at the shop. Now ~20 days after I initially brought the car in, I brought the car back in to get the tail light and the interior piece installed only to find out that they had again ordered the wrong part (right tail light instead of left). I honestly cannot believe the amount of mistakes they made. They have very little respect for your time and legitimately "ordered the wrong part" 5 times. I felt like I was intentionally getting messed with.

My first "1 Star" rating. Well deserved Id say. Time is valuable. Mine, yours, every ones time means something to them. When its wasted all I want to do is scream. I was in an accident and decided to go to this auto shop because the paying insurance company recommended it. It is close to my work and therefor should have been a cinch to get my repairs done. I brought my car in last friday for an estimate. Scheduled to drop it off Monday morning and pick it up after hours tuesday as I have class and couldnt make it before 5pm. I was assured that my car would be in their lot and i could drop off my rental and take mine. No one called me to say there had been a change of plans. So I drove from the Eastside, all the way to Ballard after my night class to come get a car that WAS NOT THERE! I called and left an irritated message thinking someone had forgotten to put my car out in the lot to be picked up. This morning, I showed up before their doors were open to wait for them. When I finally got to talk to someone, I asked if my car was finished. No it was not. We can have it done by EOD... No dice. I told them I wanted my car right now. Right now.... I get it... ZERO work had been done to it, despite what I had JUST BEEN told "one of the parts is being painted". That was a lie. The time frame was a lie. I suggest that you NOT go to an auto repair shop that LIES to you.

My BMW scratched another car and needed some work. A former coworker referred me to Collision Specialties and said their work was top quality. Here is what I experienced: 1. I was promised the work would be done in three weeks, which seemed a little long but was convinced by (the supervisor) MIKES insistance that, "hey, its a BMW and needs special order parts which take awhile." After mutliple delays from MIKE, and his assistant KATRINA, I eventually got my car back ELEVEN weeks after dropping it off (for less than $3,500 of work). Hmmmm..... 2. Luckily I recorded my mileage before the accident. The day I showed up (unannounced and with the second key) to get my car, it had over 200 extra miles on the odometer. Service staff mentioned that my car had to be taken to a paint shop, etc. THERE IS NO WAY MY CAR NEEDED TO BE DRIVEN THAT MANY MILES FOR ANY ADDITIONAL SERVICE. IMO, COLLISION SPECIALTIES KEPT DELAYING THE RETURN OF MY VEHICLE SO THAT THEY COULD JOYRIDE IT DURING THE EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS. I am in the process of filing a police report and reporting the company to the Better Business Bureau. 3. Worst of all, after going through one LONG NIGHTMARE, my back seats are occasionally wet from water leaks due to poor quality work and gaps in the body panels. IF YOU HAVE A NICE CAR OR DONT LIKE STRANGERS DRIVING YOUR CAR WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, THEN AVOID COLLISION SPECIALISTS

I brought my Van for door repair, They told me original 5 day repair and overall it took 16 days to repair that is not my expectation was completely dissatisfied promise, This increase my rental bill for extra 11 days rental charge. Than my original estimate was $2,500 and it was turned our over $4,200 I think there is something incorrect. I check my invoice They charge for replacing window glass, Window glass was not even broken, or no crack on it. They say they painted the hood, My car hood is as is not a single layer of clear coat on it. This is too much I would not recommend this to take your car their. I think this place is definite cheating . Please be careful.

I will recommend this business to anyone who has been in a car accident. Not only did they keep me posted on my repairs for my car but they cleaned my car inside and out. I was so shocked at the professionalism that Chris provided for me. If you need you car fixed I personally feel you can trust the team at Ballard Collision CarStar! OH... they have a hertz car rental there too, how convenient you can get you car fixed and pick up a rental. Hertz was also very easy to work with at this location.

First, they charged us more than the insurance estimate without our insurance company approval so we had to pay the extra. Second, our car had more scratches after repair. We asked for repair the scratches on driver side door. After we got the car back, there were new scractchs on the passenger side door. Third, they did not repair all the damages listed on the estimate report. Fourth, the owner Mike has very bad attitude. We will not remommend them to anybody and will never go back to them.

Very communicative and professional - kept me informed every step of the way. Got an estimate right away but we did have to schedule a month in advance to get a slot to fix rear-ending damage. Car spent two weeks in the shop rather than the one that was expected. Still, overall experience was very good. They have an arrangement with Enterprise which makes it very easy to rent and later return a car directly from the CarStar location.

Ballard Collision exceeds all expectations when it comes to service, quality and value. My car has been in twice in the past month and I am so happy with the work and even more the customer service. Brent Biggerstaff went above and beyond to get my car back as quickly as possible. And Rachel (I think that is her name), who works at the front desk, is very helpful and friendly too. Highly recommend Ballard Collision.
