Worst service around! 1)Twice now, I have found a notice on my door for a package delivery that needed to be signed for "without" the post women knocking on my door or ringing the doorbell like they are supposed to. They just leave the notice and I either have to go in to the P.O. the next day to sign & p/u my package or take the chance of having it redelivered alll over again (if I am lucky I guess). 2) The 2 post women I have had come to the door in the past are always in defense mode type attitude. Like they hate their jobs or something. I am always polite & nice to them. But they always carry negative type attitudes around with them. 3) I decided to call the P.O. to ask why the post women does not ring the doorbell now, to ask me to sign for my package. "No one" answered the phone...and this "is" during business hours. 4) Lastly...I have had packages that have gone lost in the past, after getting to the P.O...yet..no one has any answers about where the package could have gone. All the while, having a negative/poor attitude over the phone. Sumner Post Office is the worst P.O. I have ever dealt with. The employees I have encountered & the service is incredibly low in the standards they maintain. I am completely amazed that this is what we have to depend on, to take care of our personal mail...and nothing ever changes for the better. It just seems to get worse and worse! Now I know where the term "going postal" came from! I have been more than patient over the last 5 months, but over time they make you want to tear your own hair out, because they can be so rude & beyond frustrating. I can only imagine the reason they have such bad attitudes, comes from people complaining about them allll the time!??? My advice (which will fall on deaf ears of course) would be...do your job..be grateful you have a job to begin with...put an honest smile on your face and stop acting like disgruntled 3 year olds all because people complain about you. Fix the issues you create for your customers...and maybe you would not have so many complaints in the first place...or quit your job and give it to people that would appreciate having it more than all of you seem to. Its a sad state of affairs when we find ourselves depending on people like this, to deliver our mail now days...and nobody does anything about anything...to change it.........ever! I miss our old mail carrier too. Sumner Post Office is THE WORST!!!!

I used to have a dependable mail lady, petite, older woman with blonde hair always in a ponytail, she never gets the mail wrong. Past 6 months however shes not on the route very often. SO I run into these problems. My neighbor comes over a minimum of twice month to give me my packages. There was a car parked on the curb AHEAD of the mailbox where the mail driver could still drive up to the boxes but maybe would have had to back up to go around when leaving and they marked the deliveries that day as RECEPTACLE BLOCKED! I will get messages saying no one was home to deliver a package, yet I can see out my window see the mail person will DRIVE RIGHT BY without stopping on many of those occasions. Theres no reason for this other than they dont want to get out of their vehicle to drop a package off. These are packages that dont need a signature either, they can be left on my door step. I dont think bad reviews matter in a place like the post office, they dont care if they mess up peoples mail. But PLEASE Sumner USPS management, if you read these reviews, hire people with better work ethic!

This is so bad in so many ways. First, what does it matter if I complain? Nobody will do anything AND its not like I can take my business elsewhere. On a daily basis, my carrier crams whatever she can into my mailbox rather than leaving a box or package at the front door. The contents are smashed and the mail is crumpled. OK, Ill get a bigger mailbox. Its just a couple of days before Christmas. I scheduled a package pickup which was never picked up but I received an email indicating that it was picked up! Hows that for keeping your error numbers down? So, I called the phone number listed for the office that serves my area. It rang for at least four minutes, then went to a fax. I called the 800 number and they said they couldnt do anything but send an email to that office asking them to contact me. Oh, yeah, THAT will happen. They shouldnt offer services they wont provide. Shameful business.

absolutely hate this post office...everytime i send mail to my family in washington they never deliver it and hold it hostage and make my family wait days before they can ever go and are FORCED to pickup the mail at the post office. they are total idiots and are a massive shame to the usps name!!!! no pride at all scum of the earth post office and workers. this is the zillionth time ive had the same stupid experience over and over and over and finally posting a review. HATE YOUR POST OFFICE YOU GUYS SUCK I HOPE YOU TURN A NEW LEAF ONE DAY. You should be shut down and revamped with people that actually WORK and have an ounce of PRIDE in their life and work at ALL. beyond frustrated with this repeat experience. to top it off the Federal Way Sorting center also totally sucks and holds packages hostage for days and sometimes weeks.

I give the post office people 0 stars, but my mail carrier Sandy deserves 5. She has gone out of her way to help me get my packages, and I love how kind she is to me. Staff is always rude. Today I stood in line for 30 minutes to see if my carrier was back so I could get a package that needed a signature. I watched 4 trucks pull in while I was in line, and the associate just said "nope, they wouldnt be back." I just dont understand why he couldnt even go look for me. Today my mail carrier dropped off the mail 2 hours earlier than normal, so did he really know that? This is just one experience as an example. I have yet to have a good experience and I am there quite often shipping things. This place could really use some positive attitudes.

Lazy a$$ delivery drivers, they deliver mail after 5pm AND wont put a small box in my HUGE mailbox! I am expecting my medication and was tracking the delivery and I noticed it updated a few min prior to me checking that a notification was left because there "was not a secure place to leave package" WRONG my mailbox is big enough to hold it or they could have pulled into my driveway (3 feet in front of them) that they have to pass anyways and came to my door! I was home and my son was in the driveway playing basketball why couldnt they have yelled at him to grab the box? Too damn lazy! My old carrier would have honked at me or come into my driveway but that was just too difficult....maybe they dont need their job delivering junk mail.

WORST SERVICE from a post office and mail carrier EVER!! I complain and nobody does anything........ I get other peoples mail and packages. My packages are not delivered and sit on the shelf in the post office for weeks. When they do deliver them they are oftentimes broken. My mail and packages have been left out in the rain so many times - mail carrier is too lazy to to walk a few extra steps to put them on my covered porch. My outgoing mail is left in my mailbox even tho I put the flag up. Long lines at the post office - the longer the line, the slower they get. I try to call, the phone is always busy OR taken off the hook!! Ive had it - no wonder the post office is going broke! I miss my old mail carrier...........
