Highly Recommend!!! Before I went to there, I had researching the location of Vancouver barber shop since Im pretty seriously picky to have someone done with my hair. This one I had been feel so trust after read the reviews. I was have a long hair that had been grew for 3 years (Im a hippy dude) also with really thick beards that I havent been shaved or trim for over 2 months. (I let it grow on purpose) When I enter and I show the picture of Internet that I had found through Google of Beard and Hair style. I just show it to him once and he asked me to have a seat as he would take a care of it. He didnt not even asked me for the picture again as he just know what to doing. He did really amazing job which I would give him MORE THAN 5 STARS. I would EVEN come back again to doing trim again in next time when it getting grow again.

I was stunned by the lack of professionalism and respect for other human beings. This was expressed in what other reviewers have termed the "banter" of the owner, employees, and even some patrons. This place is rife with toxic masculinity. Conversation ranged from sexual commentary on my appearance, to thinly veiled sexual innuendos directed at the solo female barber, to transphobic humor and beyond. Staff also dropped several f-bombs in front of a young child who was in the waiting area. Being from the South, this sort of "banter" is familiar to me. Unfortunately, ignorance and bigotry are not exclusively Southern problems. I couldnt wait to get out of there, and Ill never be comfortable going back. Disgusting.

If you are a sensitive person this isnt the place for you, but if you like to actually enjoy your cut and enjoy a laid back environment then Id highly recommend. Jokes are cracked that make everyone laugh. The humor in the atmosphere is great for people that have thick skin. The haircuts themselves cost a little more than great clips with a far better experience and more natural conversation. Its as if youre hanging out with friends. I advise anyone that reads this to give it a go as your regular barbershop, but make sure to read the door first!

I took my 7yo in for a haircut yesterday. He loved it! I dont remember the name of the guy who did the cut, but he did a wonderful job! Im not sure about some of the reviews on here... the barber shop is clearly a place where adults work and hang out. Having a sense of humor and being laid back is what gets anyone through their day. They kept it really clean in front of my son though! He left there feeling like he just hung out with the coolest people in the world! I drove an hour up the gorge to go to their shop, and well be back! Thanks!

I am only giving him a review of one star because, one his phone doesnt work. I called to get an appointment and no answer. He said his phone was was cut due to construction, no worries. But... The sign says and online says hes open until 7 PM and I showed up at 5:45 PM. He says he takes his last customer at 6 PM. Um... Its 5:45 PM right now its waaaaaaay before 6 PM. Im not going back, Im irritated. I am sure hes a nice guy who cuts great hair but Ill never know because Im not going back. Ever. Annoying. Irritating. Bummed.

I usually get a haircut at this location with either Gian or Big Rick; whomever is ready first. They were both cutting hair at the time and they introduced me to their new barber, Jessica. I decided to give her a shot. Her performance was astounding and blew me away with a nice haircut after showing a picture of what I wanted. It was on a slow day, but she really took the time, effort, and the extra mile to make my hair look extraordinary. I highly recommend their new barber and the entire team for their excellent service.

It was my first time there. It is a classic place. My hair cut was awesome, so was the banter! Update 6/10/2017. Its a bummer when you get there and two of the three leave to have lunch. I really, really loved going there. Really enjoyed the banter, the atmosphere, and my hair cuts. I didnt enjoy being one of 5 waiting. This place is doing really well and they know how to cut . as they are always busy. If you have the time this is the place to get your hair cut. For me I dont so I wont be back.

Great mens cuts at this walk-ins only shop along Fourth Plain. Big Rick has been cutting hair for over 16 years and it shows. This barbershop has a politically incorrect, "anything goes" kind of attitude, so if youre uncomfortable with raunchy jokes, this may not be the place for you. If you can get used to Royals offbeat atmosphere, drop in for a great cut at a good price. Just be aware: This store closes at 7 PM, so dont expect to get a cut in at 6:55!

Tried to go in right before 6 to get a cut and was told he wasnt doing anymore cuts. One person in the chair and no one waiting. Drove past not even 20 minutes later to find the shop empty, except for the barber cleaning up. Thats the third Ive been told there was no way I could get a hair cut here yet your sign says open until 7. I live in the neighborhood and try to support local businesses most likely not going to try to get in again

This shop is for real! The head shave was simply amazing. Start with clipper shave down to stubble, followed by electric razor. Then came the pre-shave oil, hot towel, hot lather, and straight razor going against the grain! Before finishing, came the cold towel, the after shave, and post-shave lotion. My head was incredibly smooth and left with a shine!

Rick has been my barber for about 18 years at various shops. This is Ricks shop, great place, a true Barbers shop. If you are a delicate snowflake you will probably melt here. If you are easily offended, go back to great clips. If you have a sense of humor, you love this place and with the quality of the haircut you wont even think of going somewhere else.

Literally every time I get a fresh cut from here, I have tons of people just asking me where I get my hair cut at. This place is family friendly, pretty fast, and they give you everything you expect out of a barbershop. Honestly, these guys do the best cuts. I mean if they didnt, then why would so many people ask me who did my hair and who I recommend?

5 stars hands down ! I got recommended to go here after going to several different shops all around the Vancouver and Portland area and this shop sold me instantly. Great atmosphere, amazing cuts, and people ! Rick is the chillest barber and the coolest guy. Definitely going to be a regular from now on and recommended this shop to everyone.

BigRick dont know how to Fade first off. Doesnt clean you up. Hes always shaking when trying to line you up. Always moving your when in reality he should be the one moving and knowing how to cut your hair with out making you feel like a damn robot. And last but not least dude doesnt know how to do a comb over. He will mess it up.
