While I am not pleased to write this, I am finally done with Apple Valley Toyota. I took our Sienna in to get the side door looked at. I told them the door motor was not working and would they please get me an estimate to fix it and also change the oil and rotate the tires. They called to tell me the motor is not working and it will cost 1700 to get it fixed. So, I told them I would not do the repair since the car has almost 170K miles on it. Ill just open and close the door manually, no thanks. He then also told me the fluids need to be replaced and it would cost about $500, which I also said no thanks. I called CARS in Jefferson County who would do the same fluid replacement for about 100 less. When I picked up the car, there was a $52 charge to tell me the door motor was not working which I told them when I brought it in. so they charged me 52 bucks to tell me what I told them was wrong. Thanks for nothing. When I told the service guy I did not think I should have to pay it, he tells me the tech spent his time diagnosing the problem blah blah blah, so I said nevermind, Ill pay it but will never come back again and I would also post this on Facebook for all to see. When he heard that, He said I was going to work with you but you did not give me a chance. I have given this horrible service center more than one chance and this is the last time. I was in there once for an oil change on the Sienna a few years ago and the service guy told me there was a leak somewhere associated with the front axle (dont remember exactly what/where) and it would cost 700 to fix. I took it to another shop who told me it was a minor leak but did not warrant a 700 repair and that they would monitor it. That was about 80,000 miles ago and the leak has yet needed to be fixed. Unfortunately, I had to delete a huge part of this review about why I bought the sienna from younger toyota in the first place because I went over the character limit. I tried to buy it at Apple Valley in 2006 but their sales folks are truly clueless, trying to sell me a car I told them I did not want. These folks are absolutely clueless. I actually got on Apple Valleys website over the weekend, knowing I was taking the car in and probably would have an expensive estimate on the door. Maybe it was time to trade it in. Sure enough, their sales lady called twice yesterday and the door repair with the fluid change I didnt ask for was over 2200. Needless to say, I have given them enough chances. Ill go back to Younger to buy my $40,000 brand new Highlander. It is frustrating when I cant buy what I want in my hometown. Apple Valley, I will buy another Toyota when this Sienna dies. Unfortunately for you, it will be elsewhere. You not only lost a sale in the near future but also for life.....over a measly 52 bucks. Now that is good business. on to Facebook......

I have had my 09 Tundra serviced here since the first service, even though I purchased it from a different dealer (The other dealer was the only one that had what I wanted in stock and on the lot). Anyway never a problem getting it service as long as I call ahead an make an appointment. Every appointment made was acted on and done within reasonable time of schedule and within the estimated time. Only issue I have had was that I use Synthetic oil and always tell them such, there has been at least a couples where it wasnt clear that that was put in by the service ticket, due to cost. It was confirmed one time by the mechanic, the second time, they drain the oil and replaced with the synth since no one could confirm, A couple of service cycle ago, while waiting I started to look at a economy vehicle for my long commutes. Some way another I ended up having a 2015 Corolla grab my attention. Before you know it the salesman helped me out, got me a fair deal, the finance people got it all done and out the door and even followed me to the house to drop it off, since I still had to take my truck back that got service finished (and done well, reasonable price and time, as always). So in short went to get a $80 service done on the Tundra ended up as a $18k service but got a 2015 Corolla thrown in. No hassles, reasonable and professional, sales and service, no issues. Oh the Corolla is great and is getting about 42.5 MPG on a 240 mile commute twice a week. The Tundra keeps on going. I am an ME by the way and have turned wrenches for all my life, also have owned many Toyotas and in addition to the aforementioned Tundra and the new Corolla, also have a 99 Tacoma with close to 300k on it. All my vehicle while under warranty, I take to dealer, after that service them myself. Apply Valley has done me well and no complaints.

We purchased my used Toyota Hybrid Highlander at another dealership and needed a wheel bearing looked at, to be repaired under warranty, as well as a ritual oil change. This dealership was the closest to us, so the first choice to handle the work. We dropped it off on a Monday evening, with promises that it would be repaired and ready to pick up by that Wednesday. When we called to check the status on Wednesday, we were informed that, during the repair the mechanic broke the steering knuckle and would also have to replace that. The new pick-up date was then Friday. On Friday, we called again and were informed that the part had not, in fact, been delivered and fixed, so they would not be able to provide the car until the following Monday (now one week later). When we did finally pick up the car, they didnt even so much as offer the oil change for free or at a discount. To further add to the annoyance, they replaced the broken steering knuckle, but didnt re-align the vehicle, so I had to take it back in the following week to get them to fix the alignment. They offered me a shuttle car to come pick me up from work to get my car, but didnt bother to call and tell me it was ready for pick up. At no point did we receive any calls with updates or have someone let us know that the work was complete. While pretty much all the employees we spoke with were respectful, the communication and customer service in their service department is atrocious. We will make every effort not to utilize their services again.

If your reputation and future is based on my satisfaction, you have a problem. I have never been treated this poorly by any car dealership, used or new. Unorganized, unprofessional, and down right deceiving. Your salesperson, Josh,, promised he had a Yaris for me at the price we agreed on. I went to great lengths trying to explain to Josh that I could not waste time, (or gas), if my concerns could not be met. I was assured that if I made the trip there, a Yaris could be DXd to Apple Valley, and my terms would be met. Before entering the dealership, Josh promised me if they had wasted my time, he would buy me a tank of gas. This was an omen of things to come. After Josh had a quick "talk with the sales manager, Glenn Jenkins, he explained to me that they could not sell me a Yaris at that price, he was sorry for wasting my time, I can give you ten bucks for gas, etc, etc. He blamed young Joshs lack of experience, so on. I did not believe for a minute that Josh had not been coached through the whole process. This is not about gas money, its about trust and customer satisfaction. I have been buying Toyota vehicles for thirty years, and this experience will not keep me from purchasing another Yaris, Which I have already done, at another dealership! PS, Kevin Funkhouser, you should return phone calls, I returned yours.......!
