I too wish I could give a negative rating because CVPM was by far the worst housing experience I have ever had. It took weeks to determine what date I could officially move in, and once it was finally decided, they scheduled it for a day that the office was closed. I drove a uhaul from Minneapolis to Eau Claire to find that there were no keys for me to enter the apartment that I had already paid for. Whats more is that the unit was not even inspected after the previous tenant had moved out, because his furniture and other belongings were still inside! Not to mention the place was dirty and there were about 40 nails still remaining in the walls of a studio apartment. The apartment was NOT move in ready, and CVPM did not take responsibility for anything. I had one plumbing issue while living there and the repair man they hired was so unprofessional: he called me to set up a time he could come to repair then wouldnt show or would call to cancel either minutes before or hours after he was supposed to arrive. He consistently told me that he got called to another repair issue and thats why he couldnt make it to our appointment. He once showed up to my apartment expecting to come inside without prior notice and expected me to let him in. I was consistently harassed by everyone at CVPM once I informed them I wanted to terminate my lease and after all was said and done, they only returned $35 of my security deposit. They charged me for early termination (which I had previously asked about and they informed me there was no charge), a cleaning service fee, a showing fee, etc. And yet they told me it was my responsibility to show the place and have it cleaned and move in ready once I left. I received very unprofessional text messages from their receptionist, Megan, as well as threats to charge me for not turning my keys in early. I received harrassing and threatening texts from Patrick as well, even days after I had moved out and my lease was over. I could go on.. This was my first and worse experience in Eau Claire, WI. Renters beware.

If I could give them negative stars, I would. Not only are they rude, but they still have not returned our security deposit. The house we rented was moldy and had multiple problems. It failed 3 health inspections from the county health dept during our time there (less than 6 months), yet they still refused to return our security deposit. We are in the process of taking them to small claims court. Rather then trying to negotiate with us, they are trying to retaliate. Maybe youll get lucky and rent a good house from them, but I say, "Renters beware."

We love our house through cvpm. After we moved in they came and took care of the issues I had with the property within 24 hours. I have never had any but positive interaction with them. Their maintenance guys are hilarious and very respectful. I think its important to remember they manage these properties for other people. They dont own them and cant proceed with anything on a property without the owners permission.

I think many tenants do not understand that CVPM is not able to perform all of the duties that landlords are, they are not in control of the properties, they just manage it. I think CVPM does the best possible job with the amount of power they have, remember to not always blame the property management, most of the bad experiences are caused by neglecting landlords that do not allow CVPM to do their job properly.

Falsely advertised a house for sale as a rental house. Wasted a lot of time and money. They should be sued.
