I rarely write reviews, but I had such an ABOVE and BEYOND experience here that I just HAVE to write one for Graphite. So Id been a faithful "Tech Heroes" customer in the past, until they fixed my boyfriends iPhone screen for a TON of money (he couldve bought a new phone for the price), plus they "cleaned" my keyboard really badly (it looked like all they did was spray it with that can of air - I couldve done that for cheap myself). I was so done with them. So when my iPhone 6 Plus dropped on my laundry-room floor and the screen shattered I wasnt sure where to go - luckily, I saw Graphites sign in passing one day and decided to give them a shot. They have been nothing but WONDERFUL to me. I cannot believe how good of an experience it has been! My phone got taken in by them to get fixed - unfortunately, I couldnt get a loaner phone in the meantime (but thats because of Sprint - beware other Sprint users lol, apparently AT&T and Verizon are fine), but they gave me a very accurate time estimate of when theyd get my phone back to me. It cost $150 and they said that they ended up having to give me a new phone. I was like, what???! I got a NEW PHONE for the price of a screen repair. WOW. Now THAT is above and beyond. My boyfriend paid twice as much to get his screen repaired at Tech Heroes and he said he wasnt satisfied because it kind of looked like it didnt fit on his phone perfectly afterwards. So, Graphite all the way, guys. And it doesnt end yet!! My phone, in the next week or two after taking it home (brand new) - its screen began flickering and the touchscreen was getting unresponsive. But no worries - they promised a 90-day warranty on my phone and they stood by it. I brought it in, they fixed the loose wires, and it worked again! However, even though it works for the most part, its still flickering so I called them today to get it checked out again but the technician said "No, its unacceptable that Apple sent that phone to us like that, so well get you a new one". I know Ive been having issues with the replacement phone, but Im just floored that I even got a new phone AND that they are taking such good care of me! I am SOLD! I cant see myself turning to any other company in Madison to get my Apple tech fixed. This is the real deal; they are charging fair prices and the quality of the work they do is well worth every penny - and I really cant say that very often these days! I am recommending this place to everyone that needs to get work done on Apple products - they really know their stuff and they also know how to take good care of their customers. Well done, Graphite, truly! I appreciate it so much!

These guys are the BEST! Long story short, I needed some help revamping my 5 year old MacBook Pro. I took the advice of another "shop in town" and switched out the hard drive myself but couldnt get the OS up and running again. I was told to call the customer service number of the other shop in town and they would help me once the hard drive was switched out, however this was not the case as they actually refused to help me. After several phone calls and several tears on my part, I was belittled and left with a flashing blank screen with a question mark and no working computer (which I depend on, as I work from home). Anyway, I called and spoke with Phil at Graphite and he was AWESOME! In literally a few minutes, he easily walked me through what I had to do to get the OS up and running again...just like that! I of course offered to pay him and he would not accept anything, but instead simply asked that I would send others their way. I cant tell you enough how thankful I was that day for Phil. I actually happen to live out of state and trying to get to an Apple certified store would have taken me over an hour round trip, plus the time and money of getting it there etc. The way I was treated and the simplicity of how he solved my problem is customer service at its finest. Because of this, I have told anyone and everyone I know in the Madison area about Graphite. If you want to deal with stand up guys who know what theyre talking about--this is the place to go!

We have purchased and worked with the Apple folks at Graphite since 2005: buying new computers, nanos, and iPads; and working out the problems posed by the constant changes in technology and our lack of savvy. Even such a simple problem as not knowing to insert the jack in our nano all the way, or finding out why some of music tracks would not play on the nano. Just like that they solved the problem and we were good to go. When we faced more complex issues like upgrading to new or newer versions of our software, they were knowledgeable, readily available and quickly fixed our problems. When it was time to upgrade to a new computer, they made sure that everything we wanted to save was saved -- and had the new computer to us in a jiffy. Heres the bottom line: Whenever we have a problem, we go to Beau, Bob, and the guys at Graphite. They answer their phones, they fix our problems quickly and knowledgeably, come to our house and are patient with people who know next to nothing when they start, and a whole lot more when they leave. In short, wed be lost without them. Will we call them the next time we are stumped? You bet. We ought to have them on speed dial. If we could wed give them more than 5 stars.

My MacBook Pro recently stopped working. I tried to make an appointment online with the local Apple Stores Genius Bar, but couldnt find how to make the appointment. I ended up seeing the awesome reviews for Graphite (and the poor reviews for the 2 other stores in town) and decided to give them a try. So glad I did! My experience was great. I was expecting to have to buy a brand new laptop, but they were able to quickly repair the problem (a worn out cable connecting the hard drive to the rest of the computer) for $75. I could have stopped there, but I mentioned my computer was a bit slow. They set me up with a new hard drive and 2 TB storage drive in place of my CD drive - a somewhat unconventional setup - and I am loving it. The staff were knowledgable, kind, responsive, and very easy to work with. I was treated respectfully which doesnt always happen in a tech store. My only complaint was that they new drives they ordered for me took longer than they expected to arrive and that caused some delays, but I was able to use my computer during that time so it wasnt a huge deal. They kept me up to date about the situation. I highly recommend Graphite to any Mac users.

Just wanted to say thank you to the Graphite team for fixing my MacBook Pro. It’s a late 2011 model and its one of the last 17 inch models that Apple produced. I could have bought a new one but I’m too attached to the large real estate of the 17 inch screen. The issues I was having led me to believe that I was going to have to get rid of it. Within an hour or so, my problem was fixed and the gentleman that serviced my machine went directly to the problem. if you’ve ever taken your car to be fixed it’s always in the back of your mind that they are fixing something that needs no repair just to make a little extra!!! That thought never crossed my mind. From the moment I walked thru the doors of Graphite, the staff treated me like a professional and made me feel like whatever the problem was - we’d get to the bottom of it. In other words …. I was made to feel like a partner. This is what makes a great business and certainly one that I will tell others about.
