I got my service done about 4 months ago, but it is crucial to not allow others to experience what I went through. In short, I have brought my Macbook Pro (2012 Non-retina) to this place 4 times, and each time, the computer has stopped working within 3 months of service. While I understand this is most likely a problem with the hardware on the computer and not the service, the last time I went to Nerds on Call, ensured I will never go back. Not only did they ruin my $50 case for my Macbook Pro by cracking it, making it unable to stay attached to the computer, they did not put a SINGLE screw back into the bottom of the computer. This means the back panel of the computer was not fastened. I understand missing a screw or two, or maybe a screw is a little loose, but when ALL the screws (about 12 of them) are missing from the case, it makes you wonder what kind of business this company is running. As it stands, my Macbook Pro is still not fixed, and I dont want to keep spending $300 every time their extremely limited warranty runs out. I would strongly advise taking your machines elsewhere. UPDATE: Took my Macbook Pro to a different place, they fixed my problem within 15 minutes and for under $30. They also informed me that the previous place (Nerds on Call) did not even screw in the hard-drive stands. Meaning my hard drive was free to move around inside the machine. Ridiculous.

The service man was 3 1/2 hours late to the appointment, causing me to stay an hour late after work and miss an appointment. We were charged $50 more than quoted. The issue wasnt resolved and he needed to come back the following day. He told me it was covered under warranty and there would be no charge. After 2 more hours, he still couldnt figure out the problem and left. While there, hed called tech support and questioned me repeatedly about things he should have known. The problem was on computer one, but he insisted he needed to fix it from computer 2 - even though they were not networked & C #2 had nothing to do with that program, and had Never had that program on it. A few days later, with the problem still unresolved, we got an additional bill for $185.

I needed an anti static bag to mail a GPU. Nerds On Call was literally the only place that helped me out. They were also the only people that knew what an anti static bag was when they answered the phone. Even when I called Geek Squad, the guy told me that he didnt know but they sold book bags... A lady at Fix My Gadget told me she didnt know, but she would put a request in the computer and have a professional call me. Anyways, they are really friendly, super helpful, and know their stuff!

My computer would not access my home wireless. I took it here and they charged me $45 to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. I took it to Peoria IT and they fixed it while I waited in about 30 seconds and did not charge me!
