I recently had the local maid brigade in Milwaukee come clean a spill in my basement. I spoke with a sales agent that quoted my specific job for 90/hr. She explained that If they worked less/more it would be prorated at the correct price. Upon receiving the cleaning service the maids showed up earlier then scheduled @ 11AM. They cleaned my home and we gone in 30 minutes. They did good work. When I received my bill I was charged $102.00 for 30 minutes of work. I was very surprised and called the franchise to find out why I was being charged $102.00 for 30 minutes of work. I was told that they were at my home for 45 minutes from 11-11:40AM. (Which is 40 minutes and I clearly stated this to the sales rep and they still told me I was being charged for 45 minutes.) After going back and forth with the sales agent for a period of time how this was incorrect that they quoted me at 90/hr and that it would be prorated for the amount of time they actually worked she informed me that they had a $90 minimum no matter the service provided. (This I was never informed about during any conversation that we had prior to the cleaning.) I then spoke with the General Manager, Mary Ellen Hoffmann, regarding the same problem. Why was I being charged $102.00 for a cleaning that was quoted for 90/hr that only took 30 minutes? She then told me that they were being more then accommodating and will no longer discuss the matter. I would not recommend using the service from this particular site. The customer service following the cleaning was terrible, so it leads me to believe that once they have your money you are no longer important or of any use to them.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Ive never been so disappointed with a service before. They had to clean an empty condo and every surface, in every room, was not done well at all. They even admitted to having a faulty vacuum but claimed they brought in a new one: the five bobby pins, along with other debris, I picked out of the carpet say otherwise. Not to mention the pile of debris and dog hair I swept from the hardwood floor after the cleaning was "done". I paid extra to have drawers and cabinets cleaned; in both bathrooms toothpaste stains remained in the drawers. They used an abrasive cleaner on the stove top which left the entire surface scratched. The only part of this cleaning that was actually done well was the refrigerator. The cleaning was arranged for the new, first time home owners, and Ive never been more embarrassed or appalled with a business or service. I would never recommend them.

Overall my experience with Maid Brigade was not at all what I expected. It was communicated to me over the phone that a 3 person team would come and for 2 1/2 to 3 hours the quote was $190-270. They were there less than two hours and my bill was $250. The blinds were still extremely dusty when they left so my roommate and I had to clean them for an extra two hours before our landlord came to check the place. We told them not to clean our bedrooms and they did anyway. I called and complained that I wanted somewhat of a discount. They told me when they quote it is for 2 people to clean and they sent a 3rd to my place so it was extra. Which I was told 3 originally. Awful communication on what is to be done and not done, poor quality of work as well. Should have went with Merry Maids.

Ten months ago, waited over 4 hours for this service to show up. After 2 hours, I called to inquire and was told theyd arrive "by 12:30". An hour after arrival, a "second team" arrived and was admitted to my house without notice to me -- I found them upstairs and they hadnt the sense to even greet me. The first "team" left. This was clearly the end for me and the Maid Brigade. I informed them of their bad management and asked that they expunge my personal information. However, I write this review now because 10 months later the Maid Brigade charged me for a cleaning visit. They filed a credit the next day -- theft is not the issue. The fact that they still have my credit information on file to misuse is a big problem with such a mismanaged business.

I have used Maid Brigade for many years. Their thoroughness and attention to detail is appreciated. We love Irma and her team! When our children were younger, having Maid Brigade not only gave us more family time, but helped our children to be more considerate and responsible. They knew that if they left their rooms messy, they would not be cleaned. Early on they were taught that cleaning up their messes was not the teams job and they needed to be considerate of MBs time and feelings. Now that our kids are grown, we dont want to give up the level of "clean" that we have become used to! Thank you again, for many years of a clean house and a wonderful relationship. :-) Laura

I WORKED AT MB FOR OVER 4 YRS. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT,IT WAS THE BEST JOB EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD,I LEARNED HOW TO WORK QICKLY,THOUGHROUGHLY,AND WITH MY HEART AT WORK,I MOVED FROM WISCONSIN BUT CAN SAY THAT I TRULY MISS MY CO-WORKERS,AND MY BOSS MARY ELLEN SHE WAS VERY STRICT IN THE FACT THAT CUSTOMERS COME FIRST,BUT ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU NOT JUST AS AN EMPLOYEE BUT AS A PERSON.NOT ONLY DID I LEARN TO CLEAN EFFICIENTLY I ALSO CARRY A LOT OF WHAT I LEARNED THERE AROUND WITH ME IN EVERY DAY LIFE CARING,COMPASSION,AND DO WHATEVER YOU DO BUT DO IT WITH YOUR HEART IN MIND.I LOVE LOVE MAID BRIGADE AND IF I COULD I WOULD RETURN TO WORK FOR HER.

Absolute Garbage!!! & Scam Artists!! Consumer be ware!! I was quoted a price range for cleaning after they have cleaned my condo on multiple occasions and was charged $104 outside of what I was quoted. Cleaning is sub par, cleaners are rude, Jeremy, Tami, and Mary Ellen are even worse!! This is the most shady company that I have ever dealt with in my lifetime. Read other reviews, this isnt the first time Maid Brigade has overcharged and been dishonest. Read the other reviews! This place deserves to be closed because they run on a dishonest business model with rude employees.

Maid Brigade failed to provide basic services as contracted. As cleaners, they are incompetent. They promised my bill would be adjusted to reflect the significant failings in the services we agreed on. When my credit card statement arrived, I saw that they lied and had the nerve to charge me MORE than agreed upon in spite of their acknowledgment that they had failed to honor our contract. Dishonest and unprofessional. Dont waste your money.

Maid Brigade does a great job. The teams care and they are consistent. I love that they use green cleaning products, especially with a toddler at home. I used to have an independent cleaning person help on occasion and I like working with Maid Brigade way better. There are still personal touches like nice notes from the team after a cleaning, but there is a structure and process in place.

Im in love with Maid Brigade. I have had them as my team twice now - I moved away and never found a cleaning team as wonderful in Chicago. When I come home to their clean house, I feel like I could eat off of the floor (and I have a dog). They have incredible attention to detail - going so far as to vacuum my padded headboard. I cant recommend them enough!
