After breaking down visiting a friend in Fountain Hills (we live in Kingman), we had to leave our 1991 Chevy Suburban v8 there when we came back home in hopes of finding a mobile mechanic or someone to go out to our friends house and diagnose what was wrong. After calling what we thought was a mobile shop, we came to find one of the most professional and FAST responses to our situation by a FULL SERVICE auto repair shop EVER. Not only were they able to have the truck towed to the shop (and the tow added to the bill instead of having to come all the way back just top pay the tow guy), but they SAVED ME FAR LESS than the original quote because they didnt need to replace the part in question, just make some adjustments. << unheard of! I would STRONGLY recommend considering Auto Mobile Detective for ALL YOUR AUTO REPAIR NEEDS IN PHOENIX ARIZONA! Im thankful for the opportunity to share such a positive experience in an industry notorious for taking advantage of people in these kinds of situations.

I have been a customer here since 2010. The service has always been very honest and reasonable. It is scary to walk in to a shop as a woman and feel like they just see dollar signs and are going to charge you for things that dont even actually exist. In 2010 Pat, the owner gave me a very good deal and helped me out with a tough situation with a car accident. He was very fair and went above and beyond to make it work out financially through my insurance. I have never forgotten that and have sent many people here ever since. Today I had free pick up and drop off service for my oil change so as a working Mom I was able to get my oil changed while I was at work! Also Wes did a kind favor and fixed a piece of insulation my daughter had ripped out of the car door and when I checked out I realized they he did that for free. They also didnt upsell me any annoying windshield wipers and oil filters that I didnt need. I think this is a very honest and fair mechanic shop that you can definitely trust!

Amazing people highly experienced mechanics walked me through the whole process of what needed to be done to get my vehicle back on the road safely. As I sat in the loby doing research on parts and how much it was going to take to replace my car I felt hopeless. I started to freak out this is my only car how am I going to get to work how can I afford this, shortly after I got my quote I was relieved to see the price and the amount of time that it was going to take to get me back on the road, I even got a lyft home and the day after I was back to driving my car. thank you guys so much for fast and friendly service I will always get my car serviced here!

Really top service, personalized attention here. I scheduled an appt. to inspect a car I was considering buying. Every member of the staff who assisted me was kind, helpful and informative. The mechanic who inspected the vehicle provided me with valuable and detailed information. The inspection was careful and precise and I left feeling Id definitely gotten my moneys worth. I was especially comfortable there as a woman who is not knowledgeable about cars. I felt safe and well treated. These folks love their work, treat customers with great care and respect and have tremendous expertise about autos. 5 well-deserved stars!

Well first let me say, what professional people work at AMD. I am a mechanic myself from Minnesota. I own a home in Fountain Hills and have a SUV and a truck I keep here. So as a mechanic its very hard for me to allow another individual to work on my vehicles. Well Im here to say that I hit the jackpot with AMD. Hate to beat a dead horse but my dad did take the pages of things you said you did on his car recently to his mechanic in Phoenix and it seems your prices are very inflated and some things you said you did, you did not! Well let things rest there but be assured we will never be back and our word of mouth to others will never be good. A family owned business that cares for its customers and relies on repeat business. Fair and honest something you dont find every day in this business. I have a 1991 Cadillac and they keep it in top shape and have saved me money by taking a less expensive route to accomplish my goal of keeping it running. Parts are not always available but some how they make it work. I would recommend them to anybody and I have.

I went elsewhere first and was told I needed a new starter before coming to Auto Mobile Detective for a second opinion. They noticed the problem was something else and it saved me a lot of money along with making another appointment since the starter wasnt the problem. Excellent, friendly, and HONEST service!!!

Best shop around! They fixed my car for less than their estimate. New bearings made a big difference! Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. Their service manager, Wes explained what was wrong, what needed to be done and why. Ive gone there for a couple of years, wont go anyplace else.
