10/30/2014 I recently visited the Mesa AAA shop for the first time. I had been using the West Chandler shop for years with complete satisfaction. However the Mesa shop is closer to my house so I decided to give it a try. I asked them to perform an oil change and to look at the power steering fluid because the handling has been stiff for a few weeks. the customer service representative looked under the hood and suggested a power steering flush. I agreed to this service. After waiting a while the customer service representative informed me that the power steering pump is leaking and needs to be replaced. I told the representative not to perform the flush because I would have this done when I have the power steering pump replaced in a few weeks. Just top off the power steering fluid and Ill be on my way. The representative agreed to this. After waiting a while longer the representative came back and said that they went ahead and did the power steering flush. He stated that upon further review the pump was actually fine and they could not determine what was leaking. He told me that if I took my car to have the engine cleaned,(at another shop) they could determine what was leaking. Whatever was leaking was black and power steering fluid is red. now it is a week later and my power steering is getting tight again and there is red fluid on my garage floor. I will be going back to the Chandler West location.

Ive taken my cars here for years now, and its actually a comfort to know theres a place like this run by AAA. Bob, Jeff, and Susan are friendly, courteous and professional; something that was often lacking at my previous mechanics. AAA members get better prices, especially if you look online before coming in to print a coupon for basic services like oil changes. The parts warranty is usually 2 years and thats been a huge help for me in the past. One of my favorite things is the free shuttle, letting me stay at home when the car will be worked on for awhile. I gave them 4 stars because theyve made mistakes in the past, so theyre not perfect (I want to be fair). They did take full accountability for the mistakes they made, and took steps to make things right. I will keep coming back, and I recommend you try them out!

My problem: noise believed from brakes. Pros - Got right in on my appointment time. Was able to make use of a coupon to save $25 on the repair. Found the issue and they repaired it. Replaced rear brakes and turned drum. Fair competitive cost. Cons - They are busy and I could not get a Friday or Saturday appointment. We were able to work through one that worked. They charge an inspection fee approx $59 to check the brakes. If you dont need repair or you decide not to use their service due to cost etc you still owe the fee. If the issue turned out to be something other than brakes, They do apply it against the repair cost if you use them to make the brake repair. I am not sure if they apply the $59 to the repair when issue turns out to be something other than brakes I will use them again for repairs.

Have not lived in the area long and did not know of a good shop to take the van to. So I tried AAA repair in Mesa. When I called and made the appointment I told them the problem and they were able to give me a basic quote over the phone and a time est. for the repair which was very nice for planning my day (got kids). When I got there I was treated very well and everyone was really nice. They got my van in right away and it did not even take them as long as they est. for the repair. They charged me the price which I was quoted over the phone. No one tried to upsell me or talk me into more work then needed or wanted. I am happy with the service which I received and will go back next time I have a problem.

I was buying a used car from a private seller so I brought it here to have it inspected. First off it was a hassle just to have them look at it (at first told us we could just come in, then when we got there were told we needed an appt) and took several days for them to see it. When I did finally get it in, it took them several hours to look it over. They told me it was great, the only issue was a wheel bearing. After buying the car I quickly found out it wasnt good at all, and things that any mechanic should have noticed in 5 minutes (leaks, cracks, shoddy repairs) were totally missed by them. I cant even imagine how clueless they must be at repairing cars if theyre this inept at spotting issues.

First time using AAA and it will be the last. Dispatched wrong type of tow truck eventhough I told them to send a flatbed. Then charged me about double for the part, left a shop towel under the hood, put the wrong type of coolant in (as a courtesy, if they asked I wouldve said not to) and somehow dented and put a hole in my personal licensed plate. Then they notified me that my brake pads were thin and they should have them replaced. I just replaced them three months ago myself and checked them two days prior when I rotated the tires. This location severely lacks integrity and there quality of work is substandard.

I have been a member of AAA for 8+ years and I do not know why I was reluctant to give this shop a try, They are clean, honest and explain in detail everything. I have 5 vehicles, 3 of which are for business. I was loyal to another shop in Mesa, but they have gone downhill fast. So looks like AAA with their 2 year warranty is going to get a lot of my business :-).................. Just brought my Wifes car in for overheating issue. Not only fixed the problem but also took care some other minor issues for free. GREAT service........................

I called to schedule an appointment several days in advance. In the middle of the day there was no one answering their phones and my call went to voicemail so I left a message. At the end of the day I received a very curt message back from a woman in the shop about how they were so booked and could MAYBE make time for me. With rude service before I even made an appointment I know everything I need to know about the lack of quality/courtesy of any pending services. WONT GO HERE and WILL LODGE A COMPLAINT WITH THEIR COPORATE OFFICES.

Excellent, from beginning, to end. Flexible scheduling, estimates were in line with final prices, and the work solved my problems. They actually saved me from unnecessary costs by using a different vendor, for a part. No extra charges on labor, no hidden costs, no pressure sales on other work (real or otherwise). This is the only positive experience I have had with car repair, since moving to the Valley. I will be back! Thank you AAA for your roadside assistance and your quality repairs!

We had worked with Matt Stadel to plan a driving tour of the National Parks in Utah, Wyoming, and Arizona. When we returned to make reservations, Matt had prepared the itinerary and was very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in booking places to stay on our trip. He also made sure that we had all necessary brochures and maps. Matts service was outstanding and we will certainly use AAA as our travel agent in the future. We couldnt be more pleased.
