This was my first visit to Stamps Auto on Lindsay Rd in Gilbert. A.J. at Discount Tires highly recommended this shop stating he had always received positive customer feedback. I needed a full alignment on my 2006 Silverado 2500HD 4WD. Im old, Im grumpy and Im critical, especially if youre working on my stuff. Dwayne was my first contact. Good guy, personable, didnt treat you like just another "invoice" walking in the door. They needed to test drive, I said sure, but I ride with. No problem he said, climb in! When back in the shop Alan and another tech whos name I didnt get went to work. You can watch through the waiting room window, I like that. 30 minutes later "we" test drove my truck and everything was explained including local road condition effect on the vehicle. The truck was as true as it could be. Alan told me my steering gear-box was worrisome and could use work (thats the same thing my diesel mechanic told me a week ago . . . . hmmm!). Bottom line; this is a very "feel-good" shop . . . . . and impeccably clean, unusual for a garage. Ill stick with these guys for any front-end work I may need and will likely test their "automotive/mechanic" skills sometime in the future. Kudos to these boys!

WARNING! NOT A GOOD DECISION.... came in for a brake service; front brakes only. Customer service was acceptable initially, but..., when I picked up my vehicle and drove down the street, it felt like the vehicle was going to fall apart when braking. I live just down the block, and when I arrived at my house, I discovered that the brake calipers was missing one bolt and the other had almost completely come off. During my drive (one block) I nearly hit two vehicles because braking was not working properly...! Now..., they did fix the problem, but only offered a couple of oil changes for my troubles. Thats awesome..., we screwed up your vehicle, put you in a position that could endanger your well-being and others on the road, and all you can do is "Im Sorry." Keep the oil changes and apologizes, wouldnt trust this company to wash my car. Extremely dissappointed and upset at the level of work and professionalism with doing automotive work. I will be taking my vehicle to a second opinion regarding workmanship and potential damage that was possibly caused. Recommendation..., zero stars if this review would allow me.

I went in for a vehicle inspection and repair on my Volvo after running over a parking lot cinder block (I know, I know). My vehicle was running louder than normal and I was getting a check engine light. Making the appointment was a breeze and the owner, Wes accommodated the time that I was looking for. When I went in Wes saw me right away and made pleasant conversation with me about our shared military past while my car was being looked at. After the inspection he took me in to show me the extent of the damage and explain what could be done. He anticipated that the labor would take about an hour which was more than fine. The repairs were completed much faster than anticipated and he gave me a great deal (no charge). I cannot say how happy I was as its so rare to see actual customer service these days. This was definitely outside of the norm from my typical experience with mechanics. I highly recommend this shop and will be returning for all of my automotive repairs.

All I can say is "WOW". My job is ensuring 100% customer satisfaction and I am always judging the service I receive from grocery stores to auto repair. Dwayne at this location hit a grand slam. I had scheduled my daughters car to be worked on Thursday as I was going to be in the hospital Tuesday and Wednesday. I got out real early on Wednesday and asked Dwayne if I could drop the car off on Wednesday since my wife was also home. I said if they could have it done by noon Thursday would be fantastic. Oh no, that was not how they operate, Dwayne called me at 2:30 Wednesday and said our car was ready, on budget, (most shops call and say, oh we found this needs repair right now $$$). They did not call with added work. This will be my mechanic for my 2 older vehicles. I will be a customer for life! Thank Dwayne.

I recently had service done for our foreign make vehicle (BMW X3) at Stamps Auto on Lindsay Rd. in Gilbert. Dwayne Stephens provided a professional and thorough review of the steps that would lead to the right solution for our vehicle. This team does it right - detailed point by point inspection with relevant notes, observations, and photos of your cars parts. Recommendations for future service and an overall analysis of the road worthiness of our vehicle were provided during an oil change service. Dwayne was clear in communicating expectations and service costs and he held to the anticipated timeline and cost estimate for completion of work on our vehicle. I anticipate additional appointments with Stamps Auto for our other two vehicles in the very near future. - Carlos T. Gilbert, AZ

Dwayne was awesome! I dropped by because I was concerned about the way my vehicle was acting. I was a bit sad because I did not have enough money to fix what I suspected was going to be a major issue. Dwayne took my vehicle back immediately and had them check it over. He informed me that I was very low on oil, even though my vehicle indicators never alerted me. It was a simple fix. He also gave me a run down of other possible issues, but again - simple fixes and nothing major. I did not have enough money to do the other things that needed to be done, but I will be taking my vehicle back because of how he handled my fears and did not pressure me or lie to me about the issues just to get my business. Thank you Dwayne - you gave me confidence in an auto repair shop.

Stamps Auto-Gilbert/Lindsay has always been my go-to shop in the neighborhood, but I was so thankful for their help a few weeks ago. My tire pressure sensor went on during the colder weather, so I dropped in to get my tire filled. They did it with a smile, without an appointment, and off I went. When the pressure gauge showed that the tire pressure was low a week later, I stopped in again. Bryan decided to put my car up on a rack and found that I had a slow leak in the tire from a nail. He explained to me that the placement of the nail meant that the tire couldnt be safely fixed and that he would suggest that it be replaced. I can always count on Stamps Auto to provide honest service with a smile. I dont go anywhere else!

Very dis-honest and misleading shop, definitely avoid at all cost unless you want to spend way more than necessary to get your car going. After getting a AC problem looked at my usual mechanic out in Queen Creek I came to this shop to get a second opinion on price. My normal mechanic diagnosed my cars problem as a leaky condenser, not terribly expensive repair. Well this shop informed me in no uncertain terms that my entire AC system needed to be replaced. And wanted to do close to $2000 worth of work. I went back to my normal mechanic had them do the simple fix for 585.00 and the AC is working great.
