To start with, we have a 2003 4 Runner. We wanted to get our tires balanced and rotated so we thought we would take it back to the company we bought them from. I dont want to mention any specific names but it was a company known for a BIG single letter in the name. A letter that falls between the N and P in the alphabet. They were also running a special on oil changes so as long as it was there we decided to have them do that too. I would like to add here that we normally have Sunland Auto do all the work on our car but, since we were already at this nation wide company we went ahead and had them service our car too. Needless to say, when we went back to pick it up they had a two and a half page list on what repairs our car needed for a total of over $1700. We told them that do to our circumstances at this time that we would have to think about it. They had my wife very concerned so she immediately got on the phone and called Sunland. They told her to bring the car in along with the two and a haft page list of repairs needed and they would take a look. They wanted us to leave the car because it would take some time to do. After having our car for most of the day they called and told my wife that they checked out the car and some things that were on the list, like to replace the spark plugs, were done at Sunland less than 4K miles ago. They said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with our car and the best thing we could do was just keep driving it.. I think the moral of my review is a auto mechanic is like a doctor. Once you find a good one that is extremely honest and trust worthy you need to stay with them. We found that with Sunland and they will be our vehicles doctor until we get to old to drive. Oh by the way, we still have to go back to the Big * company and have the tires re balanced. When merging onto the freeway and building up to the speed limit the car shakes so much that it feels like every bolt holding the car together will come loose.

By far the best mechanic experience I have ever had. I dislike going to a mechanic the way most people do going to the dentist. Its always expensive, a ton of stuff seems unnecessary, and my wallet hurts after. I usually only go for an oil change or if something breaks. I needed my breaks done badly, the pads were gone and grinding into the rotors. I had only gone to the dealership for service before because it was part of my warranty. Of course, my warranty expired and now 3 months later my car needs real help. Tom was able to have me drop off my car the day before at 5:30pm, and it was finished by the next afternoon. They gave me a ride to the rental car place when I dropped the car off, and had the rental place pick the rental up from their parking lot when my car was ready. Very convenient! Tom was friendly and super helpful, and made a useful suggestion for my oil change as well. As nice as everyone was, my biggest worry was the price. I was so relieved at how reasonable it was, especially considering I needed new break pads and rotors, plus an oil change with synthetic oil. I felt so at ease, and everyone was so friendly and helpful, I will be happy to come back for regular service. (The only knock of a star was that Tom stated they would check my car and give me a list of everything it needed done, by most urgent to least. I did not receive this list, and was not told a check like this was done)

Honest, hard-working, and great to do business with. Ive been going to Sunland Auto for about three years now, and this is the only shop I trust with my two cars. Bob, the owner, is a truly honest man. He has consistently impressed me with the quality of service his shop provides and the lengths he goes to provide great customer service. Scott, the manager, is extremely awesome at everything. He has always taken the time to go over every little question I have, and he is very thorough when it comes to details. Just by the way he carries himself you can tell he takes immense pride in his work. The prices at Sunland Auto are more than fair. Any time Ive been given a quote I have found that they are not upselling me on anything unnecessary. One of my favorite things about Sunland Auto is that they give me a free ride home while I wait, and then come pick me up when everythings done. Thanks to Sunland Auto Ive been able to keep a 97 Sentra (B14) running with over 200k miles on it, and resurrect an 85 MR2 (AW11) from the bs the previous owners did to it. If you are looking for the best shop you can find, youve found it!

Honestly, I hesitated leaving my feedback because I want to be selfish and not help make the shop any busier than it already is. But my conscience wont let me hold back. I need to give credit where credit is due. I have been trusting my familys cars to Bob & Scott & their amazing team at Sunland Auto for over 10 years. I dont take my cars anywhere else. I cant count how many times they have fixed my car and not charged me for some of their labor or parts, just to help keep the bill down. I have complete confidence in them that they are honest and dont make up work or fix expensive parts just for the money. I have told all my family, work associates, friends and neighbors about Sunland. When you find a mechanic you can trust, you really value them - and thats definitely the case with Scott and his team at Sunland Auto!

My husbands family always takes their cars to Sunland Auto. I normally work on my own car but I was busy with work so I took a new car we were having trouble with. They went above and beyond to fix the car. They fixed the brake lights the actual turn signal switch was out . The car also looses tons of antifreeze and we thought it was a bad head gasket but they found out quickly that it was a bad water pump. They had only told me they would do the coolant and pump (of course the gasket). Since I normally work on my own car I was checking over the work when I got home and noticed they put a new radiator cap in. So impressed with them and will continue to go back! Glad to have a mechanic I can trust that will do the FULL job and the RIGHT job!

In the end Scott made it right. It took a little while, but it turns out to have been a pretty complicated thing to diagnose. The AC was pretty much new from top to bottom and still not blowing cold. I know they were just as frustrated with not finding the root cause, but they found it. Even though the computer was giving all green lights... I even watched them run the entire diagnostic. I saw the same green lights they did. but they figured it out and got it done. And they made it right on the way out the door too. Well keep going back. They have taken care of us in the past. I know Scott wants to make sure his shop is doing things right, and that his business is doing right by those who come through his door. Hell take care of you.
