I brought my Fiances car into this location as we have done before for an oil leak. I spoke with Barry which I have never seen there before, maybe took the place of the young guy Matt? Needless to say once I spoke with them regarding what the problem was and how much it would cost us, I received an entire list of things that needed to be done. I expect this from them as they want to upsale everything and try to talk you into services/repairs you do not need. What happened to fixing the problem I brought it in for and leave it at that! When I received my first quote for the repairs I was told $1200.00! I told Barry I did not plan on spending that much but knew it would not be cheap either. He proceeded to ask what I would like to spend. Didnt realize I was playing "name your price"! I told him I wanted to stay around 6-700 dollars. Barry then told me that out of the 3 things that needed to be fixed one of them could be done at a later time and my bill now was dropped to $715.00 as he put it "dropped the hourly mechanic rate". This should of been my first sign as there was a problem with the initial quote. I told Barry I would be calling other shops to get a quote on the repairs he suggested. After calling a few places I ended up with Advanced Auto on Stapley and Baseline. I explained to the Manager my situation and the repairs at hand and what he could do for me. He stayed on the phone while he looked up the numbers and came back to me with a total of $920.00 for all 3 repairs! Yes thats right almost $300 dollars less than Sun Devils original quote. I called Barry back and told him we would not be completing the work there as I found a different shop with a far less quote. He asked what they were charging me and I told him for all the repairs. Barry stated what if I dont beat their quote but go less to $875 out the door for all repairs. Again we started at $1200 and now we are to $875! Over priced you think? I wish I had realized this a LONG time ago!!! I called Advanced back explaining what Sun Devil was now quoting me and with out hesitation Advanced said they would match the new quote and to bring it in. I then called Barry back to explain we would be taking the car to Advanced and his response was "WOW...WOW I cant believe it". I told him I would be there later to pick up the car which he then said "come get your car" and then hung up on me! I had never been treated like this from Sun Devil and was taken back from Barrys actions. I was frustrated and left work early to pick our car up. I will NEVER use Sun Devil again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone! I realized we have been taken advantage of one too many times and this is not the customer service I should have received. I am in the works of contacting the BBB as well as reaching out to Chuck the manager of the store to express my frustrations and lack of respect as a customer. To top it off they parked our car in the very back near the trash can when there was clearly enough spaces up front, this just shows how childish they are! If you ever need a reliable shop and honest, trustworthy people who are accredited by the BBB with a A+ rating in ethics, Advanced Auto on Stapley and Baseline is your place! Sun Devil you lost a loyal customer today and I am sure I will not be the last!

I am extremely satisfied with the amount of care that goes into the work Sun Devil does. I have taken my car there for years for routine matters like oil changes as well as larger repairs and have always considered them trustworthy and a very fair cost for the peace of mind. Recently I received an exceptional amount of dedication from them in solving a somewhat unusual electrical problem, fraught with many unique complications. Two other mechanics-- including a dealership-- couldnt figure it out. It required many trips back to Sun Devil (not their fault, as it was clearly an unusual case and we had to test many theories to get to the bottom of it). It was evident they took a lot of pride in their work and their manager Anthony always seemed a little disappointed in himself whenever he let me drive off without knowing for sure we had the problem licked. They ultimately did come up with a solution that impressed me with its ingenuity and the amount of work that went into it. I believe many mechanics may have thrown in the towel and deemed my issue unsolvable after a few return trips, or may have continued to charge me to "throw parts" at my car or somesuch. Sun Devil never charged me for anything that wasnt critical or fair and kept plugging away at it. It was clear they valued my patronage, but also took it as a matter of pride to solve the problem. I was also more than happy with what I paid as well. I also give props to them for the courtesy with which I am always treated. They are good about communicating whats happening with my car, giving me straight answers to questions, and extending courtesies like rides to/from work while they work on my car. Their specialists that worked on the electrical problem were very knowledgeable, the gentlemen with whom I mainly dealt (Anthony and Chris) were invested in my satisfaction and very easy to get along with.

Took truck there for a new clutch. Dropped truck off on Wednesday. Was told after removing transmission and inspecting that I would have it back Friday. Truck not done Friday, Saturday or Monday. Finally was able to pick it up Tuesday. No additional work was done that was not quoted so the no time should have been added to the job. After I payed for the repair, i started the truck up and went to put it in gear. At this point the gear shift came off in my hand. I went back in and told them this. I received excuse after excuse. The original mechanic was gone on days of etc.... They finally put the gear shift back on. Immediately after I could hear a bearing whining in the transmission that was not audible before the repair. I argues with the manager and then the "Corporate Warranty Manager". I was told that he had the authority to take care of any situation. I then had to drive the truck to a shop downtown in order for them to inspect it. That shop took it all apart and could not find anything out of the ordinary. Their claim was that the bearing noise was covered up by a faulty clutch and it was a pre-existing failure. There was not noise before but definitely after. I wold not recommend this shop or this company. Horrible management, work and customer service. Some of the worst I have ever been involved with or heard of.

Very very dishonest, spent $900+ to replace oil pump and $1900+ to replace radiator/timing belt/water pump. after less than a week oil pressure light comes on, went back they said the switch that they replaced must have been faulty, they said they gonna take care of it, few days after "taking care of it" oil pressure light comes on again, went back again the oil pressure switch was bad according to Chuck. After replacing the radiator the AC stopped working, went back to recharge it Chuck tells me the condenser is leaking and needs to be replaced which was going to cost me $700, went to a Meineke for e second opinion they told me that there is no leak it only needs to be recharged. And the funniest thing is that after "fixing" the oil pump and radiator issue, I come to find out that my engine oil leaks in to the cooling system, Did not bother to call them back it only pisses you off more because they always have an answer for everything! BBB accreditation does not mean anything, I filed a complaint with them nothing happened they were just a middle man forwarding responses back and forth If you have money to throw away and want to still have issues with your car take it Sun Devil Auto thats the only thing theyre good for! Id rather google the issue and try to fix it myself than take it to them.
