These guys definitely spend a lot of time helping people.. thanks for the last minute tire repair, weve always made this place home.. thanks again John, curran and crew for all the help. Just had to come back in for... you guessed it another last minute tire repair today thank you for being here in Sundays, New guy Jesus did a great job getting it in same day, thank you again awesome awesome. I did also read some of these other reviews some were pretty funny, last one I read trish donahue contradicting, it said she came in for a diag and a tensioner, I was a heavy line tech for almost 3 years and automotive for almost 6, when I interpret this you brought it in to a professional because its something you personally were not capable of at the time, some diags can take hours and even days because its not just going to Oreillys and plugging up a scanner theres actual test that need to be done. So You really should have planned some time aside to begin with at least a 1 day if not 2 for the repair you already cut yourself short by bringing it in at one it says on your review, which is usually when things are pretty busy at least from what I have observed thru my time as a tech, on top of that you wanted a tensioner to be changed out at that time as well, Thats something you dont want to wait for and the contradicting thing about this is that you blame the tech for not taking the time when you say it took to much time, which one is it because if there was a bent prong and the part failed when testing for spark it failed regardless if it was defective prong or not, the tech was correct at diagnosing the 2 coils if it didnt spark it didnt spark I would have recommended it as well because it failed to produce what it was supposed to. So to say you got scammed its not right because it was accurate most people get hung up on prices theres not a lot of control with that because every buisiness works differently firestone is not a mom and pop shop with backyard mechanics I was one before I went and got my degree In the field and thats what these guys are trained to do. Last thing I have to note on your review is that the guys at firestone worked with you and you say they got the price down, they didnt have to do that, they chose to help you, thats why I didnt understand your complaint, I would give your review a a -5 star rating because it contradicts what you were trying to accomplish, they try to i know they do they have got my wife out of a bind twice in 2 weeks, even though our issues were minor this time and I do a lot of repairs myself I just want others to know that these guys try to help as much as they can remember they are human, my biggest gripe wrenching was that customers had soo many complaints that were not right and you see them in reviews this one as an example, but what can you do, almost every place in az Ive read reviews on has a ton of things that are junk and they are funny but sometimes it just like.. really.. did you just go there.. most reviews are to make complaints.. customers that are in shops for years tend to just be happy and dont think to put in the review because theyve been there soo long.. but just thought Id give firestone credit where credit is due this location definitely earns it, my wife is clueless when it comes to tires so thanks again guys for helping her out. Hopefully we dont see you too soon for another tire repair Ill let her know she has to take the bus from now on.

I went to Firestone after I saw my brake light on my dash light up. I was quickly helped at first and was asked a regular set of questions about the issue. After an inspection, I was notified that my brake lines were rusted and needed to be replaced. Within 10 minutes I had a quote for the cost, however the man at the desk hard sold me a fluid flush (meaning quote "your car is unsafe and un-drivable"); and not just a replacement which I was consulted by another car professional that a flush was purely arbitrary, cost a lot extra. After I paid the balance in full I was told that it would be done by 3pm the next day. Low and behold I showed up at 3 oclock that next day and was greeted and told that it would "only be just a few minutes". I sat down and waited, and waited for an hour. After the first hour in, the same man told me that the parts I needed for the repair just arrived and although I was quite annoyed I agreed to wait longer. More time passes by as it is now 5:40, watching at least 4-5 other customers walk-in and serviced. Again, the man who greeted told me that a screw part that is a part of the breaking system was so bad it had to be replaced. He then asked me if I really needed my car by the end of the night, I replied yes, as I iterated I have a school schedule and I cannot rely on others for transportation. Five minutes later he comes back out to speak with me, problem is they did not have said part where I was told "It is only sold by Toyota and they are closed at 5pm". After a small apology from him, I demanded that it has to be done by early the next morning in order for me to go to class tomorrow. As I was getting out to leave and walk a mile home, the man had the audacity to ask "Do you need a ride home, bud?" so condescending like I am a child, when am an adult. I proudly said no and walked. Who knows if my car will be finished but these broken promises on completion time, unnecessary waiting time, and snarky attitude all told me that I will never use their service again. I urge anyone to stay away from this place of business and find a shop with reasonable service.

I went in with a check engine light and a rattling belt tensioner. Wanted them to to do a diagnostic test and to replace the tensioner. I made an appointment at 1 oclock. Was told theyd be able to change the tensioner and do the test that same day. I waited 5 hours, and my car had yet to be worked on. I decided to take a Lyft home and return the following day. I called over the next morning to check the progress, and was told they were just starting to work on it. I waited an additional 2 hours and finally got a callback saying that my water pump, belt tensioner, a seized spark plug, and 2 ignition coils, one of which I just changed a month ago, needed to be changed. They told me they could do all of this for $800. I felt like I was being scammed, so I told them to just remove the spark plug. They told me that the total for that + the diagnostic test would be $250. Still felt like I was being scammed because any other respectable shop wouldve put the test fee toward the repairs. So I got them to go down on the price by $100. Finally get my car back and take it home. Went and bought 1 ignition coil and the belt tensioner and replaced those. Also looked at the brand new coil that they said was bad and noticed a bent metal prong inside the connector. I bent it back, and now my car runs just like new. I was being scammed! First of all, its pretty disgusting that a trained mechanic wouldnt take the time to look over an obvious NEW part to find a problem, instead of being so quick to charge someone to replace it. Second of all, its even more disgusting that they didnt listen to me when I said I just wanted the belt tensioner replaced, and instead tried to charge me for a new water pump! This place is a joke. I truly dont know how you sleep at night knowing that you probably pull this scam off successfully with 80% of your customers.
