I came in to get a tire removed from an old wheel. As I approached the counter the service advisor Eric Tarter and two techs looked over at me so I knew they were aware that I was waiting. I stood there with my three year old daughter (and another customer in the lounge area watching) as the three employees argued on the other side of the glass from me. Im not sure what they were fighting over but they were using quite a bit of profanity. As I staired at them in amazement, with me three year old daughter within earshot mind you, I contemplated walking out but I really need this done. The service advisor Eric finally came in and asked what I needed. As I started to explain he literally walked away and back into the shop to start fighting with his technician again. I could not believe it. Against my better judgement I dropped off the wheel and tire with them. Two hours later I called them and Eric Tarter said he wasnt sure he could get it done and told me to come pick up my wheel/tire. I didnt say a word, drove down there, backed my truck up and took my wheel. Really secure by the way as no one said a word. Anyone could have taken my wheel. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. if you need tires or any work done in this area I suggest going elsewhere. Please keep in mind this was on a very slow Sunday and there was very little going on in their shop. Im sure if they spent more time working instead of cussing at each other in front of customers and small children they could have fit me in.

Stopped in to replace a leaky valve stem on my tire. The quote was an outrageous $26 but I didnt have much choice. An HOUR AND A HALF LATER they said they could not perform the work because the tire was manufactured over five years ago. I told them I was just trying to get home and I would not hold them liable if anything went wrong, but they refused to help. They said all they can do is sell me new tires for $800. Then I saw they had the car lifted with the hood open and they were beating on the underside with a hammer. I asked why they had the hood up to replace a valve stem on a tire and they told me they were trying to fix the car because the door would not open. Apparently the car was lifted in the wrong spot and the body panel was pinching the door. They said it was because it was an "F Body" and "that always happens". To their credit, they did get the door to open and agreed to pay the expense of a body shop if it gave me any trouble. I was just glad to get out of there with my car in one piece. I suppose it could have gone much worse. I found another tire shop (S&S) about a mile and a half away and they were very friendly and switched my valve stem in about 5 minutes, then didnt even charge me for it. Faith in humanity restored!

Ive had to come here three times in the last couple of weeks and each time has been pleasant. I always stick with Firestone wherever I live and I just moved to Peoria. Both the man and woman at the front desk are pleasant and helpful. I didnt feel pressured or up-sold like some other car repair places. Today, Eric even went out of his way to give me a pair of safety goggles and he showed me the parts on my car that were causing me trouble. I told him I was considering trading in my car if there were going to be a lot of issues so he broke it all down for me. I feel like I know a lot more about how my vehicle works and he helped me make an informed decision. Im very happy I brought my car here! Firestone is an over-all great company, in my opinion. I needed all new tires a few months ago so I bought through Firestone. They do free balance and rotation and Ive already taken advantage of this more than once since a minor incident that I had. All the locations Ive been to have been pleasant and the mechanics seem knowledgeable. But whats really important is that they take the time to explain to me since I know nothing about cars. Im glad this Firestone is just as awesome as the others!

Ive been to various Firestone locations all over the country and this location is one of the best. If you read the reviews and find Bruce Howards name, I can only say Ive never met the man. The current manager is Debbie and shes on point. Always willing to work with me in terms of price. Any franchise is hit or miss because of the staff. This is one of your better options. Keep in mind that with Firestone, repair warranties can be used at any other location. Your mom and pop repair shops arent like that. I had to replace an alternator in Virginia. Drove to Florida then across the country back to Arizona. During the trip the replacement alternator had issues. Took it in to an Arizona Firestone and they replaced it for free, labor and parts. Theres a lot to be said for being able to take your vehicle anywhere and have the company stand by their work. Overall - give this one a try.

BEWARE-- if you want a basic oil change and your cars manufacturer recommends anything higher-level, they will try to FORCE you to pay for the more expensive option! I have been to 2 other garages for oil changes for my Honda Civic here in the valley and neither of them ever tried to force me to use anything but the basic bottom-brand oil; even if they technically recommended the better stuff, ultimately the choice always fell to me. Contrast this with Firestone where they told me it was their company policy to *only* use the best oil that the vehicle manufacturer recommends and that car owner preference cannot override it, which sounds incredibly fishy. Dont shell out $60 for an oil change here when you can get it at Meineke for $20!

I love all Firestone Locations. Most recently I went to this one on Peoria Ave. These guys go above and beyond to make every interaction and experience you have with them efficient, successful and educational for YOU. Customer is king here. They informed me of the work I needed on my vehicle, they didnt pressure me to get everything done at once (but they didnt sugar coat anything either which I liked), they looked for every option to work with me and once they found that option they looked for even more options to build off of that. I didnt have to wait long at all (let me repeat that: "I DIDNT HAVE TO WAIT LONG AT ALL"). Love the atmosphere, love the people and love the experience here.

This is the second time they have tried to tell me I needed parts when I didnt. Get a second opinion, I REPEAT!!!!!! GET A SECOND OPINION. On any thing these people tell you, you need. Was told needed ball joints on a van had inspection done and there was nothing wrong with them. Now had a truck in for alignment was charged for steering gear box adjustment, I was told that it was all they could do and it needed to be replaced and you could clearly see that there was never a wrench on the adjustment screw, the oily dirt on it proved to that. These guys are not to be trusted..!!!!!
