I ABSOLUTELY ENCOURAGE YOU NOT TO USE THIS SHOP! I was very displeased with the service writer, Kyle, and the way C&R Tire RIPPED ME OFF! I should have heeded the advice of the MANY 1 STAR REVIEWS below . . . my experience ended up being similar. I have a 2004 Tahoe which I told him that I plan to sell shortly and wanted to spend the least amount possible to have the pulsing on the brakes fixed. Also, the parking brake was not working and I needed to have it looked at as well. I asked him to quote on the price to fix the front brakes and he quoted $165 using lower end brake pads (which I requested). Shortly after I got the quote I got a call back to upsell me on having the rear brakes done as well. He claimed that there was very little life left on the pads. He wanted another $165 to do the rear brakes. I told him "no, just do the front". BTW - Brakes Plus charges $149 per axle for the same job (and that includes OEM Parts - original manufacturers parts) - and theyre specialist in doing brakes. Next I get a call back a few minutes later with Kyle telling me I would be better off turning the front rotors (because I still had life left in the front brake pads) and doing a complete brake repair on the rear. I asked him how much, and he said $165 for the rear and $80 to turn the front rotors. Pretty steep pricing, but my car was already there and my time is worth something, so I said "go ahead". He then told me that the brake cable was frayed and thats why the parking brake wasnt working, and he said it would be $155 to replace the cable. When I told Kyle "no" to replacing the cable he was noticeably unhappy! He said, well then Ill have to charge you a diagnostic fee of $55. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! $55 to look under the dash and tell me that the cable was frayed and needed to be replaced. SERIOUSLY!!!! I went ahead and bought the cable on eBay for $20 and it will take less than 5 minutes for me to take the old one out and put the new one in . . . .and for that they were going to charge me $155! The parts for the brake job that they did do cost them probably around $15-$25 and a good mechanic can complete the job in 30 minutes or less. Deducting the cost of the parts, they charged me around $260 for 30 minutes of their time! Thats over $500 per hour. Thats more than the best attorneys get paid per hour! I WILL NEVER USE THIS SHOP AGAIN . . . . AND I ADVISE YOU HEED MY WARNING AND DONT USE THEM EITHER Unless you dont mind having your estimated repair cost double - Triple - or even QUADRUPLE as Kyle upsells you for work you may not want or need! Know that service writers get paid a small salary plus commission. Kyle has a real incentive to sell you as much work as possible so he can make more money. I would have been better off going to the high-priced Chevy dealer - YOUVE BEEN WARNED

Three weeks ago my car broke down at sunset point. The tow truck driver recommended I go to C&R. Mike has been a great help and is the guy to go to. Since then Ive had them put shocks on my mini van and put a new suspension on my Lexus. They have been honest and direct. They have suggested some things hat I didnt want and they didnt hassle me or try to up sell me on something I didnt want or need. Im a research research kind of guy so I looked into everything. I went a different direction in the Lexus and they have been nothing but supportive making sure we get it right. I live in Gilbert so that is not a small thing to get to anthem to have my vehicles worked on but I think its worth it to get honest dependable work done. 5 stars guys. Ill be using them well into the future. Btw- I have a good friend who works at AAA who trains and does the AAA certification for shops that AAA approves. I asked him about the shop and he knew the management by name and highly recommended them so I felt much more confident that these guys would do me right. After all, when it comes to automobiles we can go anywhere and get a bad experience or a terrible one. All anyone wants is an honest work done for an honest amount $$. Im the first to admit Im cheap but if it has to be done it has to be done and done right. I want to pay a fair price for a a job not get ripped off. These folks want to make friends not just customers. I like that philosophy. I will certainly come back again and again.

I read the reviews and make up my mind.I did take my car for service at this location, the job was done, sofar I know is done correctly,my service person Dexter was very polite, explained the job to be done on my car ,all is ok sofar and no problems were encountered. We are snow bird people, our vehicle stays in Anthem, look to have the car serviced there when needed. Had been to the car dealer before, they recommended services I did not need and were very pushy on them,I hate that,I know my car, serviced my car on time and before time, dont push that on knowledgeble people, All they did is push me away of going back there . Good job and thanks for the ride home and back to the shop.Dexter is a great guy to work with and by the way, that day I met his young family too. June 2014

Ive been going to C&R tire on Anthem and this is the worst place that you wanted to fix your car. I used a coupon for an oil-change and then, all of sudden, they recommended to do many $$$ repairs. Since I wasnt the expert on auto, I did what they recommended (btw, they always ask you to do the most expensive service first!). since then, I thought my car was okay and then, now, Im having a major issue with my car! IF they recommend to replace an engine belt, NEVER SAY YES ON THAT. Instead, bring it to other shops and you will hear that C&R try to fix something you dont have to. I go to Midas/ Econo Lube/ Brake Masters/ Pit Stop, and none of them come up with some excuse to force you to pay more. This place should not be around in Anthem community!!!

Several years ago a friend suggested I take my car to C and R at 19th Ave and Deer Valley-which I did. I live in New River, so I had to wait until the work was done. The service gentlemen and the techs were very nice and had my car done sooner than they said they would. and the price was reasonable. A few months later, I had need of their services and called. The very nice service writer asked why I didnt go to the C and R in Anthem. I didnt know there was one there. I have been going to them ever since. I am very pleased at the service and the work done is always excellent. Thank you , Gentlemen! I suggested C and R to my daughter and her husband, and they also have been going there for awhile.
