CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. If I could give negative stars, I would. Today (10/6/2014) I drove by Xpress Automotive & noticed their sign "$9.99 oil change". I thought, "Wow! What a great deal." So, I go inside for an oil change. Immediately, I am told, "Your vehicle calls for synthetic oil." Ive never heard this before, but took the guy at the counters word for it since I like supporting small businesses in Ahwatukee. I ask the guy how much extra that would cost and he stated, "That will cost double." So, Im thinking, "No bid deal, that would come out to around $20 bucks" and proceeded with the service. Here is the shocker. When I check out, the guy says, "That will be $75.15." I almost fell to the floor with a heart attack. Im not a mathematician, but double $9.99 means $19.98. $75.15 is SEVEN times the amount their big sign in the front advertised - Bait and switch big time!!! I am furious and will never step foot in that place again. I encourage everyone else to do the same. I feel like I got sucker punched in the gut. THAT IS THE MOST MONEY IVE EVER PAID FOR AN OIL CHANGE IN MY LIFE. How much did this business pay to get the "Best of 2012" Foothills award!!?? What a scam!

EDIT: XPRESS AUTOMOTIVE IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. The mechanics Ive used here had disagreements with new management and have since moved to another location in town (If you remember who they are and are looking for them, email me and Ill send you to the new location theyre at!). I will no longer be bringing my vehicles to Xpress Automotive as they have allowed themselves the release of the two best shop employees in the Phoenix area! Xpress is right across the street from me, and theyve done excellent work every time Ive had my vehicles there. They do great work on whatever issues youre bringing to the shop and they offer some great education to car owners on how and what to do to keep your vehicle in tip top shape. Excellent, honest cost and work, Ill be bringing my vehicles here for years to come. EDIT: THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE! I suggest against bringing your vehicles to this location! Cant trust owners who let good employees go!

I had my car towed to Xpress Automotive when I couldnt start my car. I suspected a bad starter or an alternator problem since my battery was only 6 months old. The mechanic Rob diagnosed the bad battery very quickly and the owner Wassek stayed with me while my roadside assistance battery replacement repairman evaluated whether I should get a free replacement battery. Wassek fought for me and got me my free replacement battery. He didnt charge me for the diagnostic and was very caring and supportive during the process. I appreciate the integrity and generosity of this local business. I will definitely use Xpress Automotive for all of my car repair needs. Thank you to Rob and Wassek (and your family who I got to meet!) And congrats on your first anniversary in busines! Im thrilled to have a trustworthy mechanic in the neighborhood!

Went in for an oil change, pulled up, got out, nobody was there. Looked in the office, waited 20 min. and nobody. went back out into the garage and found a guy finally. Asked if I could get an oil change and he told me to come back at 3:30 because he was busy; mind you no other customers were there or any other vehicles and it was 11:30 am. The man was very rude and lacked any sort of customer service. I left and went down the road further to get an oil change. It is very unfortunate that the only place to get an oil change in the Foothills has such poor service.

"Fantastic Service! Detail and Passion Free of Charge" Boy the team really over delivered. Im very picky, I can be one of those borderline annoying customers because I ask a lot of questions. I am very mechanically inclined and a car nut. Im not a Pro so I took it to the Professionals! The work that was done called for leaving my 2005 Modified Mustang with them overnight. So to be comfortable and trust them is a big deal. They really went out of their way and were able to get the work done right and by end of day! Awesome, just awesome. Thanks!

Finally Ive found an auto-repair shop that I can trust. Wassek and his mechanics are very helpful and friendly. The first time we came here, my pregnant wife shredded her tire when I was at work. Wassek offered to drive her home so she didnt have to wait until the work was complete. Ive been taking both our cars here ever since for all kinds of repairs...they do it all. Prices are very fair and they always call with an estimate before starting work. Every time Ive been, theyve had our vehicles ready same day. Quick, capable, honest and trustworthy.

Great experience all the way around. Wassek is a genuinely kind soul - You cant put a price on being treated in a friendly, humane way. I have a 1964 Buick Electra 225 which initially appeared to have a starter motor solenoid problem. Turned out it was a disconnected relay switch. Rob (mechanic) took me through the process of assessment and handed me back the part I purchased for install. Long story short I would pay double what I actually paid, for the quality of experience I had - and my Buick is back on the road. Thanks so much Wassek & Rob.

I came to Xpress with a broken A/C. Wassek and Kenny explained to me that the damage sustained in a crash ruined my condenser and slightly pushed my radiator in. When I asked the mechanic, Kenny, if he saw anything that would indicate the radiator needed replacing, he said "no" which saved me $$$$. Also, Wassek, the owner brought down his price to match an estimate I got at another shop. I finally found a mechanic I can trust and a shop that is honest, friendly and fast!

Xpress Automotive did a great job! I cant say enough good things about them. Definitely very honest and bent over backwards to try to help me take care of my car in anyway possible. The owner was amazingly helpful, and their mechanics were incredibly knowledgeable. Have had some problems with other local shops - this will definitely be my new local favorite!

Wassek and his team have provided me exceptional service on multiple occasions. They are professional, efficient and honest which can be rare to find in a mechanic. True lifesavers when my car was out of service and I needed it repaired immediately. I can not recommend this service center enough and so grateful its right here in Ahwatukee!

They are fast, friendly, and gave me donuts lol. I came in today and said " I need an oil change. Whats the wait time?" He remembered my name from last time and said "well take your truck in right now and have you out in no time" !!!!!! Huh !??!?! That doesnt happen anywhere else. Im officially a repeat customer for life !!!

If they didnt know how to fix my car, they shouldve just said so. My car is still making the same sound. We even told them before we left that the sound was still there. They said that the more I drove it the sound would go away. Nope. My car still needs to be fixed. To think I trusted them. Never again.
