Im only giving this place one star because it forces you to! Horrible customer service and extremely pushy! I took my car in for an oil change and mentioned an issue Issue I was having with the vehicle. I asked the gentleman to please take a look, I had an idea of what was wrong. Hours later ( my apt was at 8 am. For a basic oil change) I get a call back and the gentleman proceeds to tell me what is wrong with my vehicle. My suspensions were correct, he gives me a quote price of $550 plus the oil change. I asked if I could give him a call back because I wanted to get other quotes. I am a young female and was not about to get taken advantage of! Nissan quoted me $150 cheaper, so I call to let Meineke know that I would not need their services any more as I would take it else where and asked them to just complete the oil change. The gentleman proceeds to tell me he will match the price. Of course at this point it wasnt looking too good for Meineke, $150 is a lot to over quote someone and so easily match it. I continued to tell the person I just wanted the oil change and was not interested in them fixing the other problem. About 20 minutes go by and they call me back and proceed to tell me that I must drive my car pretty rough and dont know how to use my breaks properly, that I shouldnt wait to fix the problem and that they need an a answer if I was going to allow them to fix it because they needed to get my car out of there because they had other cars waiting. I explained to that gentleman that I had already told another person no. He proceeds to get a terrible attitude with me and tell me " I told you I would match the price of Nissan I am not sure what the problem is, your car is already here let us fix it" umnmmm no! Your rudeness and abruptness on explaining to me the issue along with the over quote doesnt make me want to do business with you. I asked them to please just finish the oil change, he then told me my car would be ready in 20 minutes and hung up on me. I go 30 minutes later to pick up the vehicle and they tell me they need five more, 45 minutes later I finally get my car back! Mind you I had an appointment at 8 a.m for an oil change, I didnt get my car back till a little after 12. The gentleman checking me out was rude aswell obviously annoyed that I wasnt spending money with them, never went over the inspection details ( oil change came with ) didnt talk to me about anything else, handed me my receipt and walked back into the garage. Rude!!!!! Took my car to Nissan the following weekend and found out that I could in fact shave down the rotors and it cost me less than $200!!!!!!! Be aware of this Meineke they just want your money!!!!!!!! Get a second opinion, no wonder why they are closing shops left and right!

Had to replace my engine the owner Mike originally quotes me $2700 came in same day and put half down. He called me a week later stating HE purchased the wrong engine and now it will cost me $3700 instead on $2700.. Told him it would take me time to get that kind of money because I am a college student and the original quote was $1000 cheaper. They fixed my engine and he calls and ask if anything is wrong with my O2 sensor I say no and I go in to pay the rest of my bill and he says I have a bad O2 sensor and he took out the original part and quotes me $270 for a new one..I took my car to the Meineke on 88th ave and bell road with my original part and they took a look at my O2 sensor. They eventually put my original part back in my car, ran some test and it works fine. My check engine light went away and it no longer feels sluggish. I spent $66 compared to $270. Mike was trying to get over on me and I would never go back nor recommend this store to anyone as long as Mike is the owner. He is rude and has poor customer service The Meineke on 88th avenue and Bell road is way better and it is a franchise location

I took my car in for an oil change in July. I was told that I needed my front break pads replaced. I brought my car back to have the break job performed. I noticed that after a few weeks that my breaks were squeaking. So I took my car back in. They took apart and the breaks. The mechanic looked at the front break rotors and noticed they looked glazed however did not resurface the routers at that time. He did note they were squeaking. The owner told me that this was normal and part of the break in period and that I just needed to break harder. I called back and was again assured that it was normal and part of the break in. I went to another shop for my next oil change and they informed me that the breaks were glazed and no grease placed on the slides or hardware. I had the shop fix the problem. I went back to Meineke and asked them to reimburse me for the cost of another shop to have them fixed as I had given them several chances to do so themselves. They told me that they would not do this as they warranty their own work, but would not pay for another shops work.

Took my car in to Mike and his crew because after AAA changed my battery last week, 3 engine lights went on. The technician ran the diagnostics and it was due to a partly disconnected vacuum tube. He fixed it and didn’t even charge me! How often does that happen? Earlier in the year I took my car elsewhere to get an oil change and they told me that my rack and pinion was leaking, and needed to be replaced. I then took the car to a Midas shop who told me that my fuel pump was leaking. I then took it to Mike and he said it was a fuel line hose which wasn’t nearly as much as replacing a rack or pump. I also had Mike change the lower control arms at a much lower price than I was quoted at the dealer. I am glad that I have finally found a place in Phx where I can take my car with confidence knowing that I will get an excellent job at a great price!

This place is amazing and has helped me extremely when i needed it they can spot my van from a mile away, i have an old hippy van that i just cant seem to let go and they were the first ones to fix it when i got it and they were the last just a few days ago and i swear i fix one thing on this and another comes up lol i now have something wring with my A/C and my engine is getting really hot. And one time when i was getting my gear boxed fixed i took it in there at 3 and it was supposed to get done around 6 but it took all the way to 10!! Now some people might look at it as a bad but the thing was the person before i had it just likes to weld things together then to actually use the bolts so its been hard on them so i bet they do get mad at it but chris always makes fun of my van in a good way though :D lol thank you
