I was not in the least bit excited to start this journey after rear ending a big truck in my Mazda 3. I had heard plenty of horror stories about collision repair places and how the car "was never the same" after an accident. I also had to deal with the insurance and get a rental car. Arizona Collision Specialists was right down the street from my house in South Scottsdale and in the same parking lot as my favorite repair shop Scottsdale Tire Pros, so when the insurance company mentioned them, I said yes right away. I was able to get a rental car that day luckily and was contacted by Sherry to come in and sign some paperwork before my car even arrived at their shop in order to speed up the process. Once they got my car in, they constantly updated me with the progress and when my car should be fixed. Allan was very good at giving me honest answers and letting me know the status of my vehicle. There was a setback the day I was supposed to get my car back initially that had to do with the brakes, so he called to let me know it would take a bit longer to make sure the car was safe. When I got my car back, they let me just leave the rental car there and they dealt with Enterprise to have it picked up (one less thing for me to worry about!). They told me to bring it back if I had any issues, they warranty all of their work. After driving my car around for about a week, I noticed it was making a weird creaking sound and vibrating when I was turning right. I called in and Sherry the receptionist was very concerned and wanted me to bring the car in as soon as possible. We scheduled a time and they took a quick look at it and then called Enterprise and got me another rental car. I pretty much had no down time. They found what was likely the issue and Allan called again and asked if I had a preferred shop I liked to work with. I told them Scottsdale Tire Pros and they got it right over to them. Turns out a few of my motor mounts were broken! Luckily they got in contact with the insurance company and I didnt have to deal with any of the money or other headaches. All I had to do was drive the rental car that they paid for and wait until the repairs were complete! They called me as soon as everything was done and the car was ready to pick up (and cleaned and vacuumed of course) and let me know what time they were closing so that I could get my car back that day. Once again they let me know to bring the car back if anything was wrong, and had me on my way. My car is purring like a kitten and quiet as ever now, even though it has 110k miles on it! I would definitely recommend Arizona Collision Specialists to anyone, they are very friendly, personable, and have awesome communication which gave me peace of mind the whole way through this ordeal. Thanks guys!

This is a weird situation. I brought my vehicle by recommendation of AAA. Everything started out great and Brian, the manager was very accommodating. got the car back ahead of time and at first glance was really happy with the work they did. Only issue with the body work was that they forgot to reattach the locking cable on my driver side rear door but did end up fixing it when I brought it back. Heres my big issue with them: it go to pick up my car, Get in, and start to drive it and notice immediately that my clutch was burned out. This was really odd because you either have to not know how to drive a clutch to break it like this or be speeding around. Funny thing is that I had just taken it on a 300 mile round trip no more than a few days before with no issues. I let them know and took it back immediately. They then had their "mechanic" look at it and of course he says its normal wear and tear. BS Heres why: If it was normal wear and tear, they should have said something when I picked up the vehicle. Instead, I had to bring it up to them. When I called them out about burning my clutch out, they tried to cover it up. When I first picked up the car, they gave me a form of all the repairs and said nothing about any clutch issues or anything. After I called them out about it and they had their other shop look at it, magically they backdated the new order and added that there had been previous issues with the clutch and my brakes! Unless they did something to them, my brake pads were fairly new since they had been replaced fairly recently. the manager said he wasnt able to replace my clutch because he felt like it was just a coincidence they burned out. The only other thing i could do was contact the owner. Called the owner john immediately and left a message. Its been about month and half now and still no response. Overall, did good work on the body work, customer service seemed great at first, not the most ethical or moral shop. In hindsight, would have gone elsewhere.

Arizona Collision Specialist is the most unprofessional body shop that I have ever dealt with. While we have been lucky enough to only have 2 or 3 accidents in our lifetime we have never had an experience like this before with getting a car repaired. The owner John claims he is all about customer service but has been out right rude to us when dealing with him and his body shop regarding the repair of our car. We received an estimate from them (Arizona Collision Specialists) and decided to go forward with getting the car repaired by them. When we dropped off the car we requested that if there was any change in price they contact us for authorization before doing the work. Well that never happened and we got a call that our car was completed and the price had doubled from the original estimate. Calling the body shop and speaking with John (owner) he told us it wasnt his problem. To top it off since we questioned him on the cost he became so livid that he told us we could only pay by certified check. Why would a service provider become this upset unless they had something to hide.. Stay away from this shop unless you want to be taken advantage of. There are multiple Arizona Collision Specialist shops around the valley that are all owned by the same individual. Would imagine the experience would be the same at any of his shops not just limited to the Arizona Collision Specialists shop that we dealt with off of Raintree.

Complaint Type: Repair Issues Problem: I brought my car in with no problems with my car battery. I had to pick up something I left in the car and noticed that the 2 front doors were open and my car was sitting there to have work done. I called today 6/17 to ask the status of the car which was 3 weeks over due. Nancy said that they are waiting on clips to finish the job but it might be done today. She also said just so you know we have not been able to start the car and the battery seems to be dead. I had told her I had no issues with this when I brought the car in. She was trying to talk over me saying that I may want to buy a new battery for my car. I told her I had no issues with my car starting ever and that I brought my car in in working order and expect it to be returned that way. Nancy was just insisting that my battery is over 5 years old and never heard of a battery lasting more than that here in AZ. I advised her I moved and expect my car to be in the same working condition as I dropped it off.
