I am still shocked this place refers to itself as a "resort". Quite honestly it is the farthest thing from a resort. My wife and I traveled to Scottsdale for a wedding and to celebrate our "baby moon". Being a Diamond member with Hilton I chose this resort over a J.W. Marriott and Westin property, both of which are very close. Upon arrival we expected to have a bellman greet us and help with bags- no luck. At check-in I inquired about an upgrade due to the occasion and my status. The self proclaimed manager named Adriana told me that although rooms were available I would have to pay extra for them and then rudely stated I was staying on points. I kindly asked about the Hilton guaranteed upgrade and she was extremely confused and said I would have to pay for the full rate of the room if I wanted an upgrade. The next mistake was to choose to eat at the restaurant at the hotel. The guy behind the bar (Ross) couldnt be bothered and acted as if he were doing us a favor by serving me a drink and taking our order. Other people came to the bar and were told they needed to get drinks at the bar outside. The rooms are absolutely miserable. The walls are paper thin and the bathrooms are only big enough for one person. We heard every word the people in the room next to us said along with every cough and sneeze. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS RESORT!

Came here for a work conference. They are understaffed in all areas of the hotel. The staff that they do have, walks around clueless. It took us an hour to order our food at the hotel restaurant during lunch. No one knows anything, and you sit there watching the wait staff chase each other for answers. I ordered a glass of wine with my lunch, needless to say,... It never made it to my table after sitting there over an hour. I headed back to my room after lunch (2pm) to find out, room was still dirty. I called for house keeping then had to leave so they could clean my room. I decided to lay out by the pool and order a bottle of champagne. It took so long I fell asleep and still no champagne. I flag down the pool waitress and she apologized. " Im sorry I had to get everyones drink and I didnt tell you we cant have glass by the pool. I can bring you a glass at a time and leave the bottle in the back". I said ok, thats fine. Another 15 mins go by and Im watching her bring more drinks. I flag her down again, and "Im sorry I had to get a manager to unlock / sign off on the bottle". And yes, still nothing. What is the freaking world?!?!? Really ? Shouldnt the wait staff know all this prior to starting the job? Ridiculous!!! That was twice in one day on services! Im still here and I wish I wasnt! I will never come back to this hotel again!

This is a beautiful facility and the staff are fantastic. We got lost on the way to our rooms and a housekeeping staff member noticed us and immediately dropped what she was doing and helped us get to our suite. There were several other incidences of this type of generosity of spirit from other employees. From the pool bartender to the check in lady, everyone was pleasant and helpful. The lobby is gorgeous and our room was spotless. WiFi is not free but its like 5 bucks for 24 hours. Or, if youre cheap you can hang in the lobby and get free wireless internet from an AT&T hotspot! Perhaps my standards are low since weve been staying in roadside inns and motels during our drive from California but I was pleased as punch to stay here. The restaurant served a breakfast sandwich that was really, honestly delicious. I will seriously consider making something similar at home. The coffee? OMG. Amazing. Im going to be perpetually wired while I stay here! The pool is beautiful and my kids had a blast. Ask for a prickly pear margarita from the pool bar; theyre wonderful. I stayed here for an orthodontist convention but if I ever come back to Scottsdale I will be returning HERE.

After reading all the bad reviews I felt a bit hesitant to keep my reservation, but I know how nit picky people can be so I figured Id find out for myself and Im sure glad I didnt listen to the bad reviews. My family of 5 have stayed at hotels quite a bit so we know bad from good. We booked a villa and it was so spacious, clean, and comfortable. Even though we werent planning on cooking we did and the villa had everything we needed like pots, plates, silverware. Our stay was very quiet and relaxing. The main pool area is far from the villas but it was no big deal to drive over. The main pool was nice and clean. The breakfast came out to $105 for 2 adults and 3 kids, which is crazy to me considering the food was ok. Im very glad we had vouchers to cover the bill. Overall, we loved it! The staff was very friendly! I dont know why anyone would say anything negative about them. They gave our kids a treat when we were walking through the lobby. Very nice. Well be back.

What a wonderful hotel!!!!!!!! I stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa and it was really nice. So much room to stretch out, and incredibly reasonable room rates! Loved the villa pool, also went to the hotel one, both are nice. One of the people who stayed with me commented that the furniture seems cheap, but for the price and all the room has to offer I could see why they had to make that choice, but its all solid and decent furniture. Mattresses could of been better, but no ones back hurt or anything notably bad. Air conditioning works great, thermostat set to 67 and its doing a good job. They really thought of everything, from silverware, to plates, to a motorized can opener, and a lot of other things like laundry detergent and a dishwasher pod. Overall, this has been one of the greatest hotels Ive stayed at, and really appreciated the size of the room! Just wish the gates worked at the Villa entrance for extra security, but great job Hilton.

I stayed here before and because of customer service from James Beeler I returned to this hotel. I stayed in a villas rm 2700. The water heater broke and I was left with cold water. I felt the room should have been free. The room it self was beautiful but the customer service was horrible this time. A hotel is ran on customer service and they did not live up to the make it right policy. The staff really defiled my character and said I had the option to move rooms, but nobody offered it me. Worse case scenario and they did offer me a room. I had three small children and my husband was not there at the time. So they wanted me to up and move my sleeping kids in the middle of the night. Who going to watch them as I move them? Well one door closes and another one open. Here I come Westin. Never again will I stay or recommend this property because I know Hilton is a quality name and they just ruined here.
