Customer service was not impressive! We spent the afternoon by the pool relaxing. When we got up to our hotel hours after being in the sun, I used my personal phone to call the hotel to request a pitcher of water. I have stayed at 10 different hotels in the valley and this is the VERY FIRST HOTEL that gave me grief for requesting water. When I called room service, they said that they cannot give me any other water than Fiji water?? I told them that I was just looking for a pitcher of water or even a glass of water because we were thirsty, they told me that whatever they send up, I have to pay for it. I understand that I will not be the first priority because I am not ordering food but for goodness sakes, we are in ARIZONA! If a hotel cannot provide you with water, there is a problem. After getting off the phone with room service I called the front desk to ask if they can do anything to send some water to my room. He went on to tell me that if anything is sent to the room, silverware, toiletries, water, etc., there will be a service charge. He made me feel like I was being ridiculous or absurd for asking for some water. Although this is a great location, there are many hotels around here that provide exceptional customer service and amenities. I stayed here last weekend for my birthday and it was a mistake. Check-in was a hassle. We used Priceline and have never had to wait to check-in at any other hotels. On check-in date here, we had to wait an hour before we were able to check-in and the hotel staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience for going through Priceline. Pictures are deceiving. Online pictures makes this place look like its worth the $160 that they charge however, we were surprised on how dated the hotel actually is. This was the least of our worries. Our phone was not working in our room and two light switches were not working. A little customer service goes a long way! I did not have one good encounter with staff here at the hotel. Very disappointed to choose to spend such an important weekend here.

We worked with Kayla for most of the process and she became family to us. Although she was about to give birth, she wanted to make sure that she didnt miss our day. She responded to our emails very promptly and was very clear in her communication. The tasting was a blast and we were able to customize things so that it was exactly what we wanted. We have people that have severe allergies and they were very considerate of this. Specifically, one of our guest has Celiac Disease and will get really sick from gluten. Usually she has to have salad with vinegar and not really enjoy eating. Somehow, they were able to make the chicken meal completely gluten free (even to the cooking style) and she was so excited to be able to eat the same as everyone and it was the first good meal she had eaten in a while. Overall, our guests still claim that the food was the best they have ever had (including food outside of wedding food). The resort is so beautiful and unique and was perfect for our guests that were mainly out of town. We worked with Selma as our catering organizer for the day and she made sure the food was out (and still warm) while making sure that the bride and groom had drinks. Our bartender was a hoot and our guests couldnt stop talking about how great he was and the drinks. The cake was through the venue and they did better than the picture we sent them and the florist is the sweetest woman in the world and our flowers are still beautiful weeks later. They were even able to squeeze us in this beautiful presidential suite which made the getting ready process so much fun and the night even more special. By having everything there, it made coordinating so flawless and reduced a ton of stress. I am so happy that we used this venue and cant recommend it enough. Make sure to add it to your list to check out and you will love it too.

Were currently in the middle of our stay & have already decided that we will come back. RESORT & ROOMS: Very neat, clean, & comfortable! POOL: Damian & John running the pool are pro! The LIVE BAND by the pool was excellent! (variety in their playlist would have been nice but they were damn good & stayed strong ALL DAY long! Pool area could also be extended to allow for more guests. We had a small issue with communication between the front desk & the pool staff when we rented the cabana; we rented from the front desk & they told us we had one particular cabana but when we got there it was taken. Thankfully they had another one available & the pool staff took good care of us. RESTAURANT: The breakfast staff was very good, & must have good intuition about people, since one was confident enough to compare my husband to Shamu (thankfully my husband has a good sense of humor & we laughed at it all day long). However the food was delicious, but we have not been back to that restaurant & have opted to go off site. MISC: Room wasnt ready when we checked in, staff was going to call us when they had a room available. We waited as long as we could (2 hours?) before we asked again because we had to be someplace & needed to get ready. They got us a room & we made it to our event on time. - Would be a great place for an event or wedding! Great for kids & adults! - I wish we could have paid to have other guests join us by the pool (like weve done at other places we"ve stayed. We rented a cabana & would have had plenty of room for them AND the resort would have been making food & bar money.

My son and I stayed here for one night. When we walked into the room there was a LOUD sound of the toilet running. We called the front desk and asked for maintenance. 30 minutes later, when no one had arrived, my son went in and spent a few minutes trying to fix it. He finally readjusted the chain and the problem was solved. I called the front desk to tell them that we fixed the problem, but they said they wanted to send someone anyway. They were surprised that no one had come. The maintenance fellow came by to check and he saw that the problem was resolved. When we went back in to the bathroom after swimming (the pool could used a little bit of tile and plaster work) we noticed that the toilet was quite dirty. I am certain that it hadnt been cleaned before we arrived. My son noticed a used wash cloth draped over the shower head. I spoke to the front desk. Not much reaction. I told them that those 2 things really made me question the cleanliness of the whole place. Again, nothing. The front desk person said that they would put a note in to housekeeping. We checked out the next morning. I sent a picture of the messy toilet to my husband. (I got some Lysol wipes the night before and cleaned the toilet for them, plus the light switch, doorknobs, faucets, etc.). He called them and spoke to someone in authority. He also sent her the picture of the toilet. She said she was embarrassed and agreed to comp the room. I gave her one star for that.
