THIS PLACE DOESNT EVEN DESERVE A STAR, "E" My 1st massage by Eric was amazing so i got a membership only to find out that This place is terrible.... Eric is an amazing massage therapist, the only one who knows what hes doing... I highly recommend him:-) but his schedule doesnt always work for me so Ive schedule with other ones about 4 times & WOW, their isnt even a word to describe how terrible they were... & when i suggested that they were rubbing in the wrong direction or pointed out where on my sacrum the pain in my neck was coming from they all snapped at me. Even though before i told them I stated that I know they are professionals & how irritating it can be to have someone tell you how to do your job; but Im very familiar with my body & have studied the energies, shockra points, muscles, & anatomy of the body. But they pretended like they knew which way my body needed to be rubbed & continued. So even though I knew they were gonna mess my back up, I gave them the benefit of doubt & shut up... Sure enough I ended up having huge rocks in my shoulders & couldnt even turn my head w/o pain.. One guy was so bad I got up & left, refusing to pay. I HAD TO GO TO THE CHIROPRACTOR & reschedule 2hrs with Eric to get myself fixed. So I decided I would only go when I could get Eric, cause all of the other therapist SUCK. My boyfriend & I schedule a couples massage I was with Eric & he was with someone they said was just as good & he ended up going back to Eric to get semi fixed but an hour doesnt cut the damage they do you need min of 2hrs. Then 3 times to Chiro. I wanted to freeze my membership but in the contract it says you have to make up the months of your contract & only have a certain time to freeze. Therefore, Im paying every month & cant wait for this to be over.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BECOMING A MEMBER THEIR... but if your stuck with one see in your available when the therapist Eric their he is phenomenal :-)

I would like to start that I have gone to this location several times over the years and always had a great experience. This last time however, was not so great and I feel that someone who is over the management in the clinic needs to read this. At my last visit, I received an amazing massage by my therapists and was checking out at the front desk after my session. The front desk staff was very polite and professional however, there was a discrepancy with transferring a session from my home spa to the Tempe Marketplace spa. The front desk tried to figure out the situation, even called my home spa to see what the confusion was about. Unfortunately, they were unable to find/figure out what was wrong so I did ask for their manager. At this time a woman who introduced herself as the General Manager (Tracie I believe her name was) Came out and said, " So what seems to be the issue?" After I explained the situation she replied very rudely might I add, " That has nothing to do with us at this clinic. You need to call your home clinic and have them resolve the issue. " At that time I felt that she wasnt even trying to listen to my needs or even address them appropriately. It seemed as if I was wasting her time. I finally did call myself and the issue has been resolved but I feel that this Tracie is not a customer service oriented person and unfortunately your service is purely customer service. I will not be returning to the Tempe Marketplace until new management is present and I will be sharing this experience to my friends and colleagues. I do not wish to be contacted regarding this, simply address the issue with the General Manager and hopefully she will learn from this incident.

Last night I booked an appointment at Massage Envy for my very first time. There is a location in Tempe, AZ (Tempe Marketplace) that is close to where I work, and I anticipated on purchasing a one year membership. After my experience though, I had other thoughts. My appointment was set for 9:00pm. By the time my therapist finally started it was 9:15pm. The quality of the massage was below average. The therapist used an extreme amount of lotion which made being covered with blankets very uncomfortable. She finished the massage at 9:52, which means I was charged for the hourly rate when the actual massage was not even forty minutes long. This was also according to the clock that was in the actual room, which again started at 9:15 and ended at 9:52. I personally felt rushed near the end which was also uncomfortable. Had I known that I was paying an hour for a thirty-seven minute massage, I would never booked it to begin with. If I had to assign a letter grade for an overall experience it would be a D-. The only reason I didnt give it an F is because the lady at check-in was very nice. I would not recommend Massage Envy to a friend though, and I will certainly not be going back either!

I signed up for a one hour massage hoping to ease some tension and to relax, but boy what a big disappointment this turned out to be. My therapist, Robert, was terrible. I have had massages at other places before and this was by far the worst experience ever. First, the room was right near the front desk and I could hear the staff talking (loudly) the whole time. Second, my therapist had no clue what he was doing. He was clumsy, awkward, and had no rhythm, flow, or consistency in technique. Third, I had specifically asked the therapist to work a certain area and he completely missed the mark. I left the session feeling completely short-changed and iritated (nowhere near relaxed). Also be forewarned that what is advertised as an hour massage is really like a 40-45 minute massage. My therapist started 5 minutes late and ended the session 10 minutes early! Do not waste your money at this place. What a joke...my 8 year old nephew gives a better massage. I hope the owners are reading this and pay more attention to the quality of therapists they hire...total disservice to your customers.

I have been seeing Rob aka "Super Hands", and he is excellent at neck and sciatica issues. When I first went to Massage Envy I could barely walk and my pain was so bad I was nearly in tears. I have been seeing Super Hands Rob for once a week for a month, and I can feel a huge difference in my back and neck area. He is very professional, and has a great bedside manner. Super Hands Rob is always concern about how I am feeling between massages and encourages me to do things that will promote healing. I am sure the other therapist are wonderful, but for me Super Hands Rob leaves me feeling like a million bucks when I leave. Also its great to have the experience of a therapist being very excited to see you when you come back. He is a wonderful man and I would definitely recommend him if you have neck and lower back issues.

It is nice to know that there is a location near my home where I can go to get nearly any kind of massage I might need. Therapists there range in expertise from fresh out of school with all of that knowledge popping to 10 and 15 years of experience and education. I go to this location for therapeutic work for specific prior injuries, maintenance work for my general well-being, and relaxation massages to ease my stressed and weary mind. The front desk crew always is polite and courteous even though they are SO busy. They are quick to answer the phone any time I call in, and respond promptly when I send in an appointment request online. This is a great place to go to reward yourself for a job well done or simply to ease those aches and pains after a week or two of work.
