I no longer use Camarillo Car Care, but when I lived in Camarillo they were my go-to for both small and big repairs. I had an old Mercedes that needed a lot of work, and I could always rely on these guys. I appreciated how quick they were to respond to me via email or phone about my repairs or to quote me with new work. I could always email my rep, Don, if I had a question about maintenance, car parts, repairs they were doing, or new repairs I needed quoted. They were also very accurate: if they said my car would take 2 days, I could expect a call two days later to pick it up. If they said it would be done end-of-day, I could expect a call by 5pm saying it was ready. I never had to follow up because I hadnt heard from them, unlike other places Ive taken my car through the years. I also appreciated how their mechanics worked with my tight budget. A plastic housing for one of my headlamps melted, causing one of my headlights not to work, and they quoted me a new one at $800. As a student, I couldnt pay $800, so the mechanic cut and glued the plastic so it was back in working order. It was a cheap fix, but it did last another couple years until I sold the car. I have noticed that their prices do tend to run a little higher than other shops though , unless youre used to going to a dealer or specialty place. Their waiting room is nice. I hung out in there a couple times during some of the smaller repairs. I did use the overnight drop-off service once, which was quite handy. It is cool that they have a shuttle service, but it isnt the most efficient and, naturally, wasnt much of a help in getting me to work in Moorpark, since they only go within Camarillo. I did use it a couple times, however, and the driver was always friendly and prompt.

While driving to visit family over the Christmas Holiday, my car broke down. A towing company took me to one mechanic shop and there was nobody there and no way to securely leave my car for service. :( I called for a second tow and was brought to Camarillo Car Care, they also were closed; however, they had envelopes for my key and a safe drop box to leave the key with my information. Early the next work day, I received a call and confirmation about my car. They checked it out and called me back to tell me what the car needed, how much it would cost and how long it would take. They insure all the work that they do and parts for 3 years :). They finished with my car earlier than expected and it has been running fine since. Thank You!! Some of my friends that live in Camarillo trust this shop for all their major repairs and have been going to them for many years.

Have no complaints of the mechanics ability to repair the car. I do complain however, on the service advisors ability to convey the seriousness of the issue (or lack thereof.) Example... My transmission fluid is NOT "FILTHY" Because I just had it flushed down the street, THEN had to replace the pan gasket MYSELF! ITs BRAND NEW FLUID!!!!!!! Next, I DONT NEED a new lens for a light that works fine and 100% legally. Cosmetic is not safety. And the price tag for all this? Your First Born Child!!!! My 95 Civic that I bought for 1900, went in for brakes, timing belt, and front end work. Bill came out to $3200+!!!!!!!!!?????????? When did the sign morph into "Steve Thomas BMW" where I paid $8,500 for a new transmission!!!! What are they doing over there? Its a 95 CIVIC not my 750iL!!!!! Id trust the work and price of Brake Masters over these clowns.

Pros: Nice shuttle service, friendly staff, nice waiting room, quality work. Cons: Super expensive. Call around for comparative pricing from multiple shops for bigger jobs. CCC is at least 30% more expensive than other shops. Timing belt and water pump service was priced at twice what I paid elsewhere (with the same OEM parts)! I suspect it is to pay the overhead on all the extra customer service staff (3-4 guys sitting in an office as go betweens for the mechanics). They tell you whats wrong with the car without showing you - and youre getting it 2nd hand versus direct from the mechanic. Although they do quality work and have top of the line equipment, they overcharge - not the best value.

My son owns a large auto repair facility in San Diego, but it is too far me to drive for most of my vehicles services. My son seached the Camarillo area for a great repair shop and found Camarilo Car Care, he drove up to meet Patrick the owner and all of the staff and was very impressed. I have been getting my vehicle serviced at Camarillo Car Care for many years now and have always been very happy and my son has always given his approval to thier findings and pricing. It really says something when a shop owner referrs his Mother to another shop. Camarillo Car Care is truly a repair shop you can send your Mother to...

My family and I have been going to the Camarillo Car Care Center for several years and have had nothing but great experiences there. The people, especially advisor Ron Merson, are superb - honest and straight forward and extremely knowledgeable. They never force things upon you - they take the time to explain all your options - and many times they have told me when I pick up my car that the repairs they thought might be needed werent in fact needed and that they could be done on the next visit. How often do you hear that from a car mechanic??? I highly recommend them - they are just top notch.

I dont normally write reviews and post them like this, but Camarillo Car Care was terrific and they deserve a shout out! They were fast, friendly, affordable and convenient. I would go back and would send any of my friends there without hesitation. Moms: if you need to get the car checked, oil changed or smog certificate done, the waiting room at Camarillo Car Center is cozy and secure with plenty to keep the kids busy - and there are fresh chocolate-chip cookies too! These guys are professionals and they will make you feel like a valued and welcome customer!

Camarillo Care Care is the best!. The mechanics there keep our 1988 Mercury Station Wagon up and running and passing smog which is a challenge at times. What they cant fix they refer out to equally excellent people. The reception room and waiting room are clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and informative. They always keep in contact with you when your car is having work done so that there are no surprises. The car is always ready when they say it is. Wish more businesses ran like this one. Keep up the good work, guys. Karen and Max Stearns

If you plan on getting your vehicle fixed at this place plan on spending tons of money... Anybody who gave this place 4 or 5 stars obviously DID NOT get another quote from somewhere else... Im sure the work performed is fine however, the price is a RIP OFF!!! I was quoted $4000 to change 2 power steering hoses, 2 upper ball joints, 2 tie rod ends and a drag link bar. They even offered me a payment plan. 4 wheel parts in Thousand Oaks (A VERY LARGE CHAIN ACROSS THE UNITED STATES) did the job for $1400 parts and labor
