Went in to get an alignment, oil change, and inspection. Note: If you buy a life time alignment from another location, they dont honor it since it isnt listed in their limited warranty however Meinekes warranty paperwork also doesnt list it in the list of exclusions. As a consumer how are you supposed to know when you buy a lifetime alignment from a national car care company that your warranty is not honored at all locations? Despite the difference in interpretation of the warranty policy the owner never offered a solution or alternative. Instead he was more interested in making it clear it was his shop and what he wasnt going to do and what his payment relationship is with Meineke for services. I went in to get work done, not hear what service I couldnt get and his relationship with corporate. A good business owner would have seized the opportunity to grab a new customer, said, hey this its a bit of a predicament, lets look at all the work you want done, and let me see what I can do. Instead I got insulted. where did you buy that, I said in another state, I just moved here In an elitist tone figures, they do that sort of stuff over there. Whoa, I didnt realize Bakersfield was high society and Meineke, Bakersfield was the place to be, why didnt I come sooner? I get that this place is a business but youre in the service industry and are terrible at customer service. There must be more reasons why there werent any cars in the shop on a Saturday morning. Maybe its the service, the other 2 shops in the same parking lot, or that there are 50 other places in town you can get an oil change for $40. Maybe they all figured out what I just did. Go anywhere else.

This store falsely advertises specials (like $25 off an oil change) and then refuses to honor them. I was able to make an appointment at this location using the promotion code for this special and was only told when I arrived at the appointment that the code would not be honored. This a classic bait and switch. False advertising is illegal and dishonest. A Better Business Bureau complaint will be filed. I would highly recommend not going to a car repair or service store that is dishonest, because they will screw you over first chance they get. Also, the manager of this store is very rude (apparently, I am not the only person who has had this experience, see the reviews below). In summary, unless you want to be lied to, treated rudely, and pay more than you are supposed to for car service, I would avoid this location.

Scheduled my appointment at 3pm, called ahead of time and told them I was going to be a few minutes late and they told me it was okay. So I showed up exactly at 3:04pm, and the rude man at the front desk told me I couldnt be seen because they closed at 4 and that I should have been there at 3 on the dot. I called their call center back and they informed me they do not close until 6 and me being 4 minutes late shouldnt have been a problem. I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there,even though the price is reasonable, the customer service isnt worth it. I drove straight over to valvoline and didnt require an appointment,took 15 minutes with AMAZING customer service, worth every penny.

I was vary happy to find out that my carrier T-Moble was working with Meineke offering a $25 service credit.But apon calling the Bakersfield center this was not the case. The person was short with me and stated they were NOT doing this promo and hung up on me , which is a shame because I had more then just my $25 basic oil that I needed done, it to bad that a first impression was my last and the prospect of gaining a new customer who may have spent $1000 is now going somewhere else. This, in my opinion is bad business.

My sister took her car( shes had for 2 years without any prior issues with a/c) to have the a/c serviced and after waiting 2 hours she got maybe 5 minutes of cold air! She called when she got home to be told well there must have been a leak we didnt know about and there wasnt any freon in the car when she brought it in to be serviced...after 2 hours I think you would have found any damn leak the a/c had. $150 to charge freon and put a new rubber gasket on that suposably wasnt there to being with.

Wouldnt take a container of used oil I brought to recycle. Wouldnt take a coupon for an oil change, didnt even look to see what the coupon was as a matter of fact. Argued about how much oil my car needed and was very unprofessional. I walked out, called back once I calmed down, and he was still unreasonable and rude. Dont go here, support places that respect their customers!!

Sadly, it appears the decision for free oil changes for veterans was made by Corporate, and the local franchise cannot afford to honor it. Too bad there wasnt a sign outside, as there were many vets lined up when the owner arrived to dash their hopes.

Great customer and quality service. Everything was explained to me and I didnt feel as if I was getting ripped off. I felt as if I was family and they wanted the best for me. I was not just another dollar sign to them. Awesome job guys!!!!

Extremely poor customer service, the older guy (assuming manager) gave a huge attitude when politely asked if he did diesel exhaust, when asked if he knew a shop that does he laughed, said nope!! Will never go back there!!
