READ THIS BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE. Ask yourself the following questions... How well do you know your mechanic? Do you trust your mechanic with your life? Does he treat you like family? Will he turn down service because you dont need it? For over 15 years our entire family has trusted Los Gatos Auto Service to take care of our vehicles. Thats four generations spread across about a dozen families with approximately 20 cars; every last one of us can answer "YES!" to all of the questions I asked earlier. Even better so can the rest of Daves clients, regardless if you have been taking your car to Los Gatos Auto Service for as long as we have or for the very first time. Theres a reason they have been in business for almost 20 years; great mechanics with a mission to build long term relationships with their clients. Even if it means repairing a $5 part versus $500 part because someone else said it was the problem. They have gone over and above in the quality of their service every time, and even though Im a single woman and could easily be taken advantage of when it comes to anything automotive, I am treated with courtesy, given a complete explanation about what is going on, and charged an excellent price EVERY time. I highly recommend Los Gatos Auto Service, they are honest which is extremely rare in the auto service industry and repair only what is necessary. How many times do you walk out of a repair shop and find out by a stranger that you need to spend much more on your car for things that you know are not wrong. Youll never have to worry about that here. Dave takes care of all our cars quickly and he and his team have always communicated and fixed all the issues that were only necessary.

Reliable Honest, and Fair ! They go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to customer service! I was new to town and visited multiple shops before I found this place. Very professional shop / great customer service. Recently on a road trip to Northern California had an error with my air suspension on range rover. Land rover dealer wanted to book me in for five days later and said they would need for a full day. Dave had one of his guys clear the error code in 5 mins and I was on my way. Acknowledging that it was only 5 mins of work with the OBD computer he refused to charge me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I had a bad transmission. It wouldnt downshift on heavy acceleration and refused to go into first. They had their transmission expert look at it. 20 minutes layer, they identified the issue. $2500 rebuild. Got a second opinion at the local Dodge dealer $4500, same guarantee. The car was ready in a week. Runs like new. They didnt try to upsell anything either. Definately going to go back for future service.
