Let me start by saying that the facility and personal trainers are fantastic and would have otherwise kept me here. But lets face it, this place is a scam and they are all about sales and dont care about destroying your credit, having integrity, good customer service or general phone skills (such as returning calls). My boyfriend had signed up last summer and had been told that he had some free guest passes good for one week, so he invited me. When we got to the gym, Graham, there aweful and deceitful sales rep, told us that I could get an additional week for free if I gave him some information. Trust me when I say I was very skeptical, but this guy lied to my face and said there would be no problem and that the gym wouldnt charge me for anything. Of course, they did. I was charged to my card without being told that I was or what I was being signed up for or anything. I tried to call the manager of this gym, who is conveniently never there or can return a call, and I even tried to call corporate, who also cant be found. My advice: if you like dishonest people who dont tell you what you are paying for, you found the place. Also, after all this happens, my boyfriend tried to cancel his membership as well, and had one person tell him he has month to month and can cancel at anytime, and another person telling him he has a contract. Mind you too, these people dont give you hard copies of anything. UPDATE: They called and left a voice mail for me just now asking me to come back and call the manager of the gym. I called back, got transferred to her voice mail, and wouldnt you know it? Graham, the sales rep who coned me into a membership, answers! This is the kind of thing Im talking about. No one ever directly talks to you, and to be honest, the last person I want to talk to is that rep.

READ BEFORE SIGNING UP!!!!! My wife and I signed up for this gym. The sales reps explained the contract, but forgot to leave out a tiny detail. "IF YOU CANCEL THE CONTRACT WITHIN A YEAR, YOU ARE F****D OUT OF $275!" Here is what I wrote them: Now THAT is total bull crap. You and I both know you DO NOT make it clear with those who sign up. My wife signed up, then I signed up afterwards and we were both not aware. You put it in small writing in the back. The problem is that your sales reps sit here and explain it to me and dont tell me that part. Why are they even explaining the contract and not mentioning the part about a $275 fee? Dont even say its my fault for not reading the contract. Your reps need to stop acting like they are explaining the contract!!! And my wife does not speak English as well as I do - she wouldnt have understood most of the contract anyhow. And you know what? Your sales reps are the pushiest and most annoying people Ive EVER encountered!! I swear they kept calling me to sign me up and even when I said I have financial things in the way, they asked me "what kind of financial things" What the hell? I will never come to CFF ever again. 24 Hour Fitness has never done this kind of crap to anyone. Maybe thats why they are bigger and better than CFF. You sleep at night with those kind of crap going on? Seriously, $275 is not a joke. Maybe for your rich selves that money is a joke. Admit that you are conning people.

I would have liked to give Cal Fit 5 stars, truly I would have. However nice the gym may be, I cannot excuse the behavior of the membership management team. I signed up for a month-to-month basis with Russel. He seemed kind and genuine, and I explained to him that I did NOT WANT A YEAR MEMBERSHIP (please excuse the yelling, I just feel like you all can hear me better than he did). He told me that he would honor my request, and after my 2nd month, lo and behold, they started charging my card for the next 2 months (even though I paid for the 3 months when I sat down with him). He told me that it seems that we both had a misunderstanding...um no, I clearly told you what I wanted when I signed up, and you scammed me. Sorry Russel, you "seemed like a genuine person", but your actions proved otherwise. Ive been calling and coming in to speak with Russel for the past month, and am still waiting for corporate to cancel my membership and refund my money. My advice to you all out there, go somewhere else, and save yourself some headache, (and your money).

I used to work there. It is all about the sales. They are no better to the employees than they are to the customers. They smooth talk you and make you think they are giving you a good deal. They have sale people that are great at making you feel fat to get you to sign up. Why not, the sales team get commission on every sale they make. As far as employees go, it is great while you are hourly, but dont go into management. That is where they trick you and use you and scheme behind your back. I loved working as an hourly, but as management no way. And when I learned what the sales team was up too I felt ashamed.

I like that gym, has good equipment as well as pool and jacuzzi. However I think that there should be a little bit more of some things, such as the benches and weights, not all but just the most popular or most used once because sometimes one has to wait until someone else finishes. Also the staff is not bad, they look professional, and they are not rude but I noticed most of them are not very talkative, I mean like if you ask them a question they answer it but very hardly. And last thing is that the price could be a little bit better, though its affordable I really think its a little bit too high.

Ive belonged to CFF since 1998. This gym offers a wide variety of fitness programs & activities for every age group. Many seniors work out here during the week, get to know each other & have an enjoyable time. All age groups are well represented. There is a constant up-dating of equipment & the facility in general. Excellent indoor hardwood basketball court. Whats not to like ?

Ive been here for a few months & I have always felt welcome. I like the amenities at this location. I wish the kids club was open longer but. I think the price is great, too. I was expecting to pay around $100 for only 1 membership, but we have our whole family going (5ppl) for around the same cost. So, I cant complain. The male staff members are the friendliest.

the only reason i havent left is becasue of my long term membership, the PTs are great. the OLDER STAFF working the FRONT DESK is rude, and condescending!!! you are there to help members. not talk to them in a rude and disrespectful manner!! writing a letter to corporate immediately on specifically who im complaining about. - loyal member for 15+ years

Cal fit is a great gym especially if you have kids. Even 24 hour will admit that they cant compete with the price of a family plan when you factor in day care. I love the gym, their employees and the other members. Everyone is welcome from "new to the gym" to "experienced bodybuilder or powerlifter".
