Beware the runaround! This is clearly a company that cares more about their bottom line than their clients. I signed up online for $49. I figured it was worth a shot since I had gotten several emails promising a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. On my first visit the guy at the front desk gave me a check in card, took my picture, and when I asked if he could show me around he just stood there and pointed to the machines and told me the weights were upstairs. Awesome. When I went upstairs there was no one working, so I ended up leaving after a little cardio. I went in again at a busier time hoping for more staff... no luck. This is clearly not the place for me. I went in to cancel and after the kid at the front desk was done flirting with a couple girls I was told I could not cancel in person (what?) and that I had to send in a form. Okay. Print the form, fill it out, read I must send it CERTIFIED mail to ROCKLIN. Really!? I have to pay to cancel? Fine. I send it... no one calls. There are no phone numbers for corporate ANYWHERE, so I sent a contact email and someone finally called me 2 days after my new billing cycle kicked in, so they got me for another $24.50. The guy who called was nice enough and cancelled my membership. Weeks went by... no refund. I called this club and guess what? No manager was in until the following week. Yes, its all coming together now. No wonder the service sucks when theres no management around. Anyway I finally spoke to the manager and she has no idea about any 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. Says I was charged the additional $24.50 because I am required to give a 30-day notice of cancellation. Hey genius, that means I would have had to cancel the very day I signed up. She says I can contact the owners via that handy email contact box on their website because she doesnt have a number for corporate (that she can/will give me). WTF man!?! When I do finally have a personal schedule that will allow me to use a gym regularly, there is NO WAY I would ever choose this one. Im still waiting on their call to make it right, but Im not holding out much hope. Im out $75 now and have had a horrendous experience. Save your money (and your sanity) and take your business elsewhere.

Seems like a scam- total runaround! While this is a well-kept gym, the employees have little autonomy and therefore the customer service is severely hindered. I had to cancel my and my husband accounts for personal reasons last November, and was told that all was cancelled and that was that. Since then, my account has been cancelled but my husband has been billed for the past four months by Ripped Fitness national company, and am now being told that that account is in collections. I have made numerous frustrating phone calls to the Ripped Fitness employees in attempt to confirm this account cancelation since last fall, and get a refund on the charges they are claiming against us. After at least 14 phone calls and speaking to Ripped Fitness employees, I have gotten absolutely NOWHERE. Their national company is still charging us for a membership and claiming we are in collections for past due. So the one account has never been cancelled by this gym, even after I have been told MULTIPLE TIMES that it was cancelled last December, and after I have spent numerous phone calls to Ripped Fitness attempting to remedy this situation. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service in this day in age, and is surely the worst customer service I have ever encountered. There is apparently only one area manager, and he has been too busy and unavailable in San Jose where he is opening a new gym location (and apparently has no cell phone?) to ever contact me and resolve this matter. I would NOT recommend this gym to ANYONE simply because of this unacceptable and awful customer service.

I joined this gym a year ago because I was feeling weak tired and sluggish all the time. I normally run on hiking trails and have been athletic and I have medical background as well. So I thought to myself that maybe I need to get back into the gym. To make a long story short, I found out I have a number of medical issues that have made it difficult for me to work out. I have been trying to get the membership cancelled and I am getting nothing, but the runaround. I have had 2 medical letters sent to these guys and now working on my third. I hurt every day just getting out of bed and they will not work with me. I called the company who does billing for these guys and they give you the runaround. They told me it is the owner who sets up the cancellation terms. I dont know who the owner is, but if you dont read the fine print then you need to know that only if you are disabled or move can you cancel the membership. Apparently the owner must be a robot because people have hardship and get sick. I am contacting the better business beura and filing a complaint against both the gym and billing company. I have had it with this crap. Just the stress alone will make me sick for a weak now. Do not waste your time because it is not worth it. Thank you

Im a fan. That other review is complaining about it being cheap and empty, those are two things that I like. There are always machines open for me to use, the only time Im waiting is occasionally for some of the free weights, most machines are very new and nice also. I was really laughing about the "ghost town" comment, its not that bad (Id say for its size about 75% the traffic of CalFit or Golds which is pretty good for a new gym) but Im there to work out rather than socialize so Ill take a not so crowded gym any day. Ive never felt pushed into a training session at all, I signed up, paid for a year in advance cheaper than other gyms cost just to get started, and havent been asked or offered any other services since - thats been perfect! The one thing that Im not a fan of are hours, particularly around the holidays the hours were pretty ridiculous, Id like it if they could stay open until midnight like CalFit or at least stay open past 8 pm on a Saturday night - perhaps if they get busier they could. All in all its a great value for your money.

Ive been a member for a few years (on and off) previously and had a buddy coming into town that wanted to go work out. I tried to get us 3 day passes, and was told we couldnt pay for just 3 days. I do that with gyms all over the West coast when I travel for business. This place is lucky there isnt many gyms in Lincoln, they wouldnt stand a chance.

Sign-up is CHEAP because they make money from the contracted vendor personal trainers - the FREE introduction and assessment is actually a VERY HARD used car sales pitch. The place is a ghost town.
