The worst customer service that I have ever experience in all my experiences of renting properties. I recently applied for a property, and my application was denied due to "bad rental history from my current landlord". I was very shocked to hear that my current landlord would ever give me a bad rental reference. Concerned and confused, I called my current land lord and asked why she did she give me a bad rental reference, she said she didnt and that their was some mistake. She told me that she reported that I was a good tenant, paid my rent on time and that she didnt want me to go. I contacted Crystal Tiner about this discrepancy and she agreed to call my land lord again, after she called me back at said that she believes that Im a good renter and it was looking good for my application. The next morning she left a VOICEMAIL declining my application again. Still concerned, I decided to call the fair housing help line, and they told me to get a copy of a rental reference to determine where the discrepancy was coming from. When I went to get a copy of the reference John Tiner and Crystal Tiner both pulled me in their office. He was very upset that I called fair housing, and made many generalizations about race and ethnicity. He said that we rent to you type of people, African Americans all the time. I told him that it was not about his company, but more about the discrepancy on why I was being denied. I didnt know who to believe, and that fair housing is there to protect renters and owners. He cut me off and was disrespectful and rude, he said that he would not being giving me any information to build a case against him and that he has had many fair housing cases get denied. I left the office disgusted at his lack of empathy and customer service. Fair Housing has now submitted my case to their legal review. Do not use their services! They are not fair at all and very defensive when you question their business practices.

Professional, Honest, Good Judgment. Tiner Properties, Inc. has done a fantastic job with my rental property, keeping my tenants happy and protecting my interests too. The staff is responsive whenever I’ve had questions or concerns, handle sticky issues fairly and promptly, and had repairs done at rates I couldn’t have secured on my own. They really know their stuff, and as a first time landlord, it’s been a great reassurance knowing that I have the Tiners to advise me. I initially chose Tiner Property Management to manage my rental because the other property management companies I called were so slow to respond and didnt express any interest in even seeing my property before signing me up for property management services. All the other companies cared about was getting my money and a form filled out. But John Tiner came to my home, checked it out, checked the neighborhood out, and sat with me to explain how things worked. I was very impressed from the beginning and 2 years later after going through some difficult times with the house, I am so glad I chose them.

“Moving across the country is no easy task,” was my initial thought when I started planning to move from Maryland to California. I needed a company with high standards of customer service to help me with the task of finding a home. I chose to work with Tiner Properties, a decision for which I am extremely grateful. I could not believe how easy they made it for me, and with such class. Simply walking into Tiner’s office made me feel at ease. Their genuine care of helping me find the right home for me and my family was what set them above the rest. I felt like they personally cared about my well being, and I recommend Tiner Properties to anyone looking to move. After living in the property for ten months now, I still feel that Tiner Properties knows what it takes to create and keep a happy client. Any problems I have ever had with my property have been immediately addressed and handled in a professional way. Thank you, Tiner!

This is the most unprofessional and rude Property Management Company I have ever dealt with! We had submitted applications for 2 properties that we were interested in $35 per person. Each property we more than qualified for with 8K in income and over 700 credit. After waiting it out and not being chosen for either I asked to speak with management to better understand their process. I had spoken with the owner and he was completely arrogant, unprofessional, and unapologetic. How they are running their business is completely ILLEGAL. Under the Fair Housing Act the first person who submits their application should be allowed to meet qualifications before other applicants are considered. I would never in a million years wish for anyone to go through this amount of inconvenience and be treated with complete disregard. Save your money and your time!

We planned on relocating to Sacramento and went to look at a house which we applied for. They waited about a week to call us back to tell us the owner chose another applicant over us. We inquired about another property but they said they wouldnt advise us living there because they have an aggressive dog next door (we also have a dog). The 3rd and final house we applied for took the property manager 4 days to call us back (even though our application had already been approved). She didnt even bother calling us to ask any questions, I had to call. Then she finally says that the owner is not going to accept us there because they dont want any large dogs living there. Tiner Properties did nothing to assist in finding us a suitable home for our family that accepts pets. Will not apply with this company again.

What a scam Tiner is. Let you pay the 35 dollars per person for the background check. They can approve you, yet the freaking owners can deny you and you are left without a rental and the money you spent. NO WHERE ON THEIR SITE, does it say that you can be approved but still not get a place from them. If It did we would not have even looked at them. There should be a refund for not getting a place through them. Then to inquire about other places they have listed, they go on to tell you they are rented out already (while their website says it is available). Along with we had to contact them as they were never going to get back to us. Uh sorry folks, but when you call a cell phone, it has a log of who called and when. You cant use the excuse that I called you, when you didnt.

My family has had the opportunity to rent from Tiner Property Management several times and each experience has been a pleasure! From the moment we found the property we wanted to call home, to signing the lease the Tiner group is always courteous and professional. The approval process has always been quick allowing for a timely move-in. I have always felt the Tiners take great pride in making sure their properties are clean and in working order, but if you discover a problem or an issue, you can be sure that it will be resolved properly and in a timely manner. In a Tiner property we’ve always felt at home! I highly recommend Tiner Property Management if you are looking for a place to call home!
