My rental was due back at 11:45am. Prior to renting the truck, I was told by 2 employees that if I needed to extend the rental beyond the reservation, I would only need to pay the daily rate, plus a small fee if I messed up a reservation that followed mine. Instead, at 12:50, I received one voicemail regarding returning the truck while I was at work (no text, email or call to my alternate number). At 3:15, the truck was gone from where I had parked it. U-haul "recovered" the truck, still full of my belongings. When I went back to the store to get the truck back and unload my items into a storage unit, I was told the truck would not be able to leave the property and I needed to load my things into another truck (from another company). I was told that, instead of simply extending the rental, they considered the truck stolen when not returned exactly on time. When I asked to see where in the contract they were given permission to recover the truck and hold my belongings hostage, they were not able to point to any clause. I will never rent from Uhaul again, knowing that they will come and steal my belongings at any time. The policies they state are meaningless, and they do not abide by their own contract. A truly untrustworthy company.

Horrible experience! I typically dont leave these reviews but this needs to be told. Went to rent a trailer and was putting the Pin in my Receiver when the Employee pushed me out of the way and stated he would do this it is UHauls resposibility to hook it up. I said fine and stepped away and handed him The Cotter Pin. He told me I was good to go so I pulled out driving carefully because I rarely use a Trailer. As I merged onto the 118 fwy in front of a CHP Motorcycle Cop the trailer came loose and the only thing that saved him was the Safety Chains! He was forgiving towards me but stated he would like to give UHaul a piece of his mind. I was able to get hooked back up with some wire that I had. The Cotter Pin I handed the Uhaul Employee was missing (or never installed) and I went back to the UHaul. I had to purchase another Cotter Pin and the guy intentionally started an argument to cloud the fact that they made a dangerous mistake! He acted like a 2 year old throwing a fit. I went out disconnected the trailer dropped it on the spot and left and have never rented from UHaul since and most likely never will again!

THIS IS THE BEST U-HAUL I EVER BEEN TO!! The staff is extremely courteous, and answered all my questions. The highlight of my experience was working with Mr. Soto, he provided great customer service and esured I had the right equipment for my move. His help directly resulted in an inexpensive and effortless move for my family and. If your moving this is the place to go for what you need!

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!Made the entire reservation and only after did they tell me they didnt have the truck on the property to pick up.... not only that but the nearest pickup for the truck was OVER AN HOUR AWAY! how do these people stay in business??? By misleading customers, thats how! What a joke.

Awful customer service - The van was dirty when they gave it to me, there was a problem with the right rear view mirror. Also, they tried to charge me for damage to the van not cause by me. It cost me nearly $400 to move in-town, I had the van 3 days.
