Bad service every time. Just about every time i go here i get bad service from rude ladies. Im always polite and nice, so i do not get why Im treated like Im garbage. (1) The lady that helped me with my p o box was EXTREMELY RUDE AND ROLLED HER EYES AT ME! I had to asked 4 times what is the price for the p o box i wanted and my cousin saw how i was being treated by the lady and spoke up for me.. The lady didnt write the info down about my box or what the address would be. And kept telling the wrong info so i just paid and left and had to come back with my husband to figure it out and do a address change to the p o box, since the lady was not telling me how to do and sorry i guess im an idiot but that why i ask since i dont know. (2) i came in 12 days later to check on my mail in my p o box and only got 1 conformation letter with my current married name but i made i made a change of address for my old last name and i didnt get a confirmation letter, so i went in line just to make sure it was in the system. Another lady came up the me to see what i needed and i told her i just wanted to make sure everything is fine with the change of address since there was 2 last names and she said it should already be there and just being rude and i told her no, its not thats why im in line TO MAKE SURE MY MAIL IS NOT LOST"... She then said is there another name or something i said yes i just said that... Then again she said maybe it will be there in a few days. I said, Its been almost 2 weeks i will stay in line to check... """ im being polite so why all this rudeness??? And there was not a long line either. But she was nice to everyone else behind me... Sad to say since i moved to this area iv been mistreated many times.....

I went to pick up a package that was going back to the sender because my address was entered incorrectly by the shipper. I asked the employee if he could check to see if my package was there based on my tracking number so I could catch it before it got shipped back. The man said the package wasnt there and that I would have to wait until it was returned to have it reshipped. I explained to him my package was in fact at their post office based on my tracking number, but he refused to look. After going back and forth, he then proclaimed, "He would have to go get the manager because I just could not understand that my package was not there, and no matter how he explained it I just couldnt seem to understand" He shouted it across the entire post office, I was extremely embarrassed. The manager was kind and I gave her my tracking number, she found my package in less than 2 minutes. But it really bothered me that she didnt apologize for the way her employee treated me by yelling at me in front of a full office, when I was not incorrect, it was a humiliating experience. The man who helped me was rude from the moment I walked up to his station. I understand the Post Office isnt a pleasant place to work, but he should at least be cordial. I will never return here and I completely understand why their approval rating is so low. Hopefully management will notice and make some necessary changes.

A few months ago I would have given this postal service 5+ stars. We had a regular mail carrier (Shirley) who was top notch.The type of mail person you dream of. All of our packages were delivered with care right to our door with a smile. She knew everyones name, our preferences on mail everything. Then one day she came to our door and told us she would no longer be our mail carrier that the post office had switched her route. Since that day, I have had packages shoved (squished and manipulated) into our box. Left at the front door with out a knock or anything. Shirley would at least knock to let us know it was there if we were at home. Our mail comes at all hours of the day, we knew before our mail was in our box anywhere from 4:30pm-5:00pm like clock work. Now, we have had our mail get here at 9am, 1pm you name it. Magazines ripped, mail shoved in the box, packages shoved or letters that they will be attempted next day. Its been daily frustration. BRING BACK SHIRLEY TO GALLANT CIRCLE!!!!!! Ok, now onto the physical post office itself. It is day to day. One day you are in and out and everything is perfect, the next you are standing in line for 30 minutes as one person tries to help everyone and about 5 other people are seen walking around in back like mindless zombies. So frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got to the post office before they even opened today, an hour later they began doing passports and they worked really slowly and it took them about an hour for every nine people! We waited for hours and hours and saw them slowly take people in and just talk and laugh and not really trying to do their job. There were two people working there but I only saw the second employee walk out twice to get more people in even though he had no one in his office. At the end, we got seated down but the employee made a mistake and told us to go back because someone was in front of us and after they were done he said I cant do anymore cause its closing time already. He told us to get there at 5 in the morning even though it opens at 10:30 to get in. I have wasted 2 days so far trying to get in. I went to go talk to the supervisor and when we talked he was really arrogant and didnt care, I said that they should either hire more employees or ones that actually work. He said he didnt care and that I cant do anything about it, that he has a government job and that nothing can do anything about him.

They only get one star because you cannot give ZERO!!! I ordered my school books via amazon and accidently shipped to an old address. I thought it would be ok because I paid my dollar so my mail would be forwarded. I got two books on time. The other one took WEEKS to get there which is understandable for forwarding time I suppose but the last was delivered to this post office on the 21st of January. I called and asked if they could hold the book because it didnt make sense to have them send it somewhere else when I could go get it. They said yes. When I went to pick it up they said it had already been forwarded. So I wait for almost 3 weeks and today I get a notification on the shipping that the book has been at this library the whole time but now they are sending it back to seller!!! Mind you, book or not, school goes on. Ive been trying to call all morning to no avail. I have a P. O. box with the post office on Keifer and they ALWAYS answer the phone. I hate this post office. I am filing a claim as we speak.
