The main guy that runs this place is about as unpleasant, surly and as unhelpful as possible. If he spent the same effort being helpful as he does being unhelpful, this place would be fantastic. He enjoys letting the line build up by going extra slow and taking extra steps to slow down the transaction, hell refuse to give out the postal supplies that he hoards behind his station, hell spend time chatting with his (few) friends while people wait for service. Hell try to figure out how he can refuse to mail things for you before grudgingly accepting them. Wont stock the forms or mailing supplies, makes you ask for them and then either denies your request or tries to figure out a way to deny it. He gets really pouty and upset when there are more than two customers in the place and complains about how "busy" it is. The people that are rotated in and out tend to be EXTRA helpful and cheerful to try and make up for this sucking black hole of hate and apathy and whenever they show up, this guy will quickly disappear into the back leaving the help to deal with whatever massive line has formed. Though honestly, Id rather wait in an extra long line and get my business taken care of quickly and professionally than get him and run the risk of not getting my package mailed or getting supplies or just passive-aggressively harassed in some other way. I keep seeing the post office whining about losing revenue, but if you are going to employ people that actually spend all their energy trying to drive away business, then you guys can talk to the hand.

As post offices go, this one is decidedly above average. The two different clerks Ive encountered have always been efficient and polite. There is rarely anyone in line. In my opinion, its the best post office in the area. I run a business from home and go to a USPS about 3 times a week and this is one of my go-to post offices. NEVER had any of the problems described below LOL -- I have no idea what theyre talking about.

Between the US Post Office on Sullivan Ave and this one on Southgate Ave, Id choose this one hands down. Its not the greatest or largest post office in Daly City, but the service is pleasant, quick and the line actually moves. Parking is usually impossible after 12pm at this location, but at least its not as unnecessarily crowded.
