Mecca Morgan

Manager Amelia committed theft by arbitrary deceit. My storage unit C406 had beautiful furnishings & vintage clothing... (and everyone in the office knew it), but most importantly the theft of my childrens childhood photos, birth announcements, footprints & hand-made art - broke my heart. I begged and cried for help, however, it appeared that Amelia (a deplorable) enjoyed seeing me weak & sad (payback) for not bowing down to her (2 weeks prior to the auction sell). Btw... Trump has nothing to do with her Supremacy attitude... Stripping a people of their dignity & wealth is not new to America... Its status quo. Upper Management has not been willing to do anything to try to make things right after over 6 months of seeking help. I received several calls, however, their minds were already made up against me. I tried to file an insurance claim but was told my lose was not covered. Buyer beware. Respectfully submitted, Mecca Morgan (One sad mama) June 2017.

I am writing on behalf of a former customer. I came to the site to take out the last of the former customers things. He authorized this action. I was greeted by a splendid employee. Her name is Sharawn El-Amin. Ms. El-Amin usually works at your Berkeley storage facility. Ms. El Amin was extraordinarily pleasant and professional. She also worked efficiently. She helped me get into the unit, provided clear instructions on how to clean the shortage and close out the account, and even contacted the units former owner, In the end, she provided me a copy of the account, and emailed the same to the owner. Talking about going the extra mile, Ms. El-Amin went two extra miles. (But for having contact with the former location manager (someone who could use a lesson or two in good manners and respect) I would have given a 5 Star rating to the Shellmound location.

I dont know where this guy is coming from, he must have had a bad day, not only has George been professional, he has protected our storage from thieves that rented a place, put nothing in there storage, and went around scoping other places to get what they could. Not only did he find out what they were doing, but he warned other people and myself so they wouldnt lose there property. I bought a second lock for mine. He also makes sure if you happen to be getting behind, that If need to, you can go to a smaller unit if one is available. I have been there quite a while, and George is one of the most professional, courteous managers I have met. This is not only a safe storage, but they explain everything that is in your contract to you, so that you definitely understand.

The storage space itself is fine, the office staff has always been pleasant. But three years ago we started with our 5x10 space at $70-plus, but have seen HUGE annual increases, now up to $159 per month, which is over twice that of nearby competition and represented VASTLY more increase than inflation. So the corporate "bean-counters" at Public Storage are doing "greed as usual." And we (seniors on fixed income) are saying "Alo-Ha" to them. BTW, we contacted their customer service and they have "no way" to help us out two veterans AND senior citizens out. So dont fall for their "cheap-looking" come-ons. Public Storage is out to maximize income for their stockholders money ONLY – and the devil with everyone else.

Tim is by far the most excellent employee I have ever encountered. I appreciate his knowledge about the business and the facilities, he always remembers my name and who I am and he is always courteous and friendly. Recently I had referred to friends to the facility and when they mentioned my name to him, he immediately knew who I was and treated them with the same excellent service and friendliness. I stay at this place in part to my satisfaction with Tim and his style. Absolutely. I will continue to recommend friends because I hope that they get to work with Tim. I do not agree with the fee policy that the fee is raised as you stay longer, rather than being reduced for long term customers.

Tim totally helped me find the perfect space to store my tools and equipment. I am a general contractor doing most of the work myself and an easily accessable secure storage space is key to my success. Thanks to Tim I found just right space. He explained the different access options and space sizes then showed them to me. After some discusssion I chose a 10x20 drive up on the ground floor. He advised to watch the Public Storage web site for specials to get the best deal possible and I did. He put the paper work together for me and set me up with auto pay, was completely easy and hassle free. I am very happy at Emeryville Public Storage YAY!!!

LaCena went above and beyond to make sure I had a dolly as I was moving items alone. She went above and beyond her job to help make sure my time at storage was smooth and comfortable. Cant say enough good things about LaCena and Amelia. They are amazing. I went in unsure of the size I needed and I was on a tight budget Amelia helped me find a unit larger than I expected and it was $1 for the first 30 days. She was very knowledgeable about the services and spaces. She even gave me advice on best practices for packing the unit. I have had Public Storage units in other places and I have never had such a great experience with the employees.

I came here with my dad to look for a storage room for my dorm items and I was greeted by George in the office. I told him what I had and he told me what I needed and he went and showed it to my dad and I. This place is super clean and it looks well lit, although Im not renting today, I will definitely be back at the end of the semester because I feel as though this place is the safest place my dad and I have looked at. Ive looked at some pretty sketchy places and Public Storage in Emeryville is where I will be storing my items when I go on break. Thank you, George, for helping my dad and I!

My company needed a storage space in the local east Bay Area and we decided to give the public storage in Emeryville a try. We were able to find just the right unit to fit our needs. Dale one of the staff there was especially welcoming and courteous and you can tell he cares. I remember one time that we accidentally left our unit not fully locked and they took the extra precaution to ensure our unit was secured. I cant begin to thank dale for his work at the Emeryville public storage and wouldnt hesitate to use PS for any storage needs again. Now if only dale was at every location.

The onsite manager, Tim, met us at the appointed time. He explained the facility security and hours. Tim took us to 3 different units to allow us to decide on the size we needed.He was gracious and not at all pushy. The facility was very clean and seemed well maintained. Time went over the rules and paperwork clearly. He loaned us one of 2 onsite hand trucks and we loaded our first bunch of boxes in, All and all a very congenial experience. I would recommend this facility to anyone in the North Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley area.
