Interesting day at Public Storage: Customer service was poor, walked in and I was greeted by a very unprofessional employee. The young lady started the conversation with "What can I do for you", not a Hello or any type of professional greeting even after I had made it clear that I felt that I had been disrespected. she then stated that she did greet me and while raising her voice she stated I did say that not "What can I do for you and then I replied nothing I need someone else to help me not you. I stated you want to take my money but cant speak....Then I was greeted by the Manager after they heard the disagreement. Previously I had another situation where I laid my money on the counter to count it the clerk grabbed my money walk away with it before I count and confirm the amount I laid on the counter, She then put it in her pocket, took it out and said I had given her the correct amount. When I take my things out next month I will never do business with them again.Every visit is stressful ....These are not the only issue Ive had with this location.

These other reviews are bogus! fake! This place is a scam. They told me reserve a spot for my RV online for 65 a month. I was on my way and they called to say "How long is it again" I had already discussed with a manager the the extra "foot" 12 inches was not an issue. Now it all the sudden became an issue and they put me back out on the street when I planned to have this RV spot. I had to wait on hold for over 10min. The ignorant "manager" some female by the name of Nastasha or something never called me back. She Had a goober call me back to say "ahhhhh yea sorry our bad but we can put you up in a covered lot for 525.00 a month" Haha rite.....idiots...... DO NOT COME HERE THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND DO NOT PUT THEIR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS FIRST. YOU WILL NOT BE VALUED OR RESPECTED. I will tell ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAM NOT TO COME HERE! I will also be calling the better business bureau because they are a rip off and didnt honor what they told me over the phone. ALSO HEARD THAT THEIR STAFF STEAL THINGS OUT OF YOUR UNITS. BEWARE.

If there is one thing I cant stand is hidden fees. In other words, I asked Latasha at least 10 times what the final cost would be. She told me the monthly rent plus a 24 dollar admin fee. OK. Sounds fair. Of course when you sign the lease, you are forced to pay $22.00 for the lock, and monthly personal property insurance unless you have your own. So now the cost has increased by at least $30.00. The locks are public storages way of ripping you off. Why not make the lock a simple deposit? In other words, you pay for the lock and then get your money back when you return it. Regarding the insurance if you have your own, then you dont have to use public storages. However, if you dont know about the insurance requirement, then it is hard to prepare. When I asked Latasha why she didnt tell me about these hidden charges BEFORE I signed the lease, she said she would have been terminated if she did. I seriously doubt that. And if she would have been fired, what a stupid company policy!

What a fantastic experience! I am on a very tight budget and am moving to the east coast in August and needed an affordable space to put the last few things which are not coming with me. From my initial phone call (got the AMAZING rep, Jason in CA) to the call I got LITERALLY WITHIN UNDER FIVE MINUTES from Tasha at the property on MLK...to meeting her and her staff, everything went extremely smoothly and Tasha was absolutely professional, articulate, and knowledgeable...as well as thorough, and very kind! What a great listener, too. I gave this five stars because theyre well deserved! The only other feedback I want to offer is that I really wish my storage spot (smallest 3x5) had a light inside. Also, one employee (a guy, but not Darien, sorry if name is wrong) was on the phone right next to Tasha and he was being obnoxiously loud....other than those two issues, FIVE STARS!!! Highly recommend this property. Thanks, Tasha!

My Wife Carmen and I, own Crawford Family Auctions, and participate in a number of storage auctions, and we have never been treated any better than by the Staff at MLK , From there outstanding DM Chanell to Tina ,Richard at MLK, and all the staff at Olson Place, both locations in Burien on 1rst street ,both locations on Des Moines memorial drive, and at 180th. The service and respect afforded us is beyond reproach. With in the framework of there rules, they all do what ever they can to accommodate our needs,. And it because of that we are regulars every month and really dont feel the need to participate in any other auction runs. I can honestly say that MlK auction run is something that i truly look forward to every month. So a big warm thank you to all the people at MLK for helping make our business dealings a pleasure. This Public Storage location is massive. Massive. I reserved online and went to move in two days later. The woman who assisted me was very sympathetic to the fact that I was really sick that day. She was very helpful and made it very easy for me. She also waited patiently as I read through the lease slowly in my sickness haze. I was happy to see that there was no moisture in my drive-up storage unit considering the rain that had been coming down during the few days prior. The security looks alright. They have a camera on the one spot (a gate) I thought someone might be able to crawl under. Do know that you will have to buy a lock for your unit. The price varies depending on the type of lock and the type of lock depends on the type of unit. Insurance is also required and offered by a third party, but its not very costly.

When my daughter inquired about security here the staff stated that they had only had one break in. Our storage unit was broken into recently and according to the police this place has had four units broken into. The unsettling part is that the security cameras had been turned away from our unit the staff was not concerned nor apologetic about this. I should have never rmoved from my unit in Lynnwood. The staff are not honest nor do they care.I would not even give this place one star but I had to pick one. If I had the time and money I would move back my storage unit in Lynnwood. How can these units get broken into especially when they tore the wall out from the unit next to us without anyone not being aware I think its an inside job.

Tina and the MLK Jr. team have be wonderful to me. My husband recently passed away and I was having difficulty in getting access to his storage because I was not owner on the account. Tina worked tirelessly with me to help me to get all the paperwork I needed together, faxed and process so that I could finally get access. Although it took two months to get approval from your legal department whenever I came in or called she was compassionate and went out of her way to help me. This has be a very difficult time in my life and having people like Tina who was so understanding and helpful makes me so appreciative of her commitment in getting the job done.
