What a great group of helpful, nice people that work at the Fairfield Post Office. This is what I observed while I waiting in line for seven minutes. I watched Baljitt get some tissues for a poor guy sneezing. That was nice. Joyce was busy explaining to a customer why it is cheaper to sent a package another way than what the customer had asked for and why it was just as safe to do so. Saved that man some money! The next customer was mad because the postal clerk wouldnt accept a stuffed cheerios box that was raggedy. The clerk refused to ship it. She explained that it was bursting and would fall apart before it got to its destination. That customer was mad that she had to repack the goods. Joyce still tried to help even though that lady was mad. Joyce...you cant work miracles. Danilo tried to calm a guy down that was mad. Danilo explained what was happening and told the man that it will take a little time to research his problem. Never raised his voice, just calmly tried to help the yelling guy. Danilo fixed his problem. Heaven help the bad person that threatened our Postal Clerks.... Rhoda was wanting on people and enjoying a customers new little baby. Rhoda always works with a smile. Mai....what a jewel. She carefully helped a non-english speaking customer with her problem, never rushing her, just patiently working with the customer. Always with a smile. Fairfield Post Office on Kentucky Street has the best bunch of people working there. They listen and take care of problems and do it with a smile. Great workers. Ruth Chapman

My rating opinion is based on the service experienced at the Fairfield post office, not including mail and package delivery to home/business. All I have to say is that Fairfield, CA needs another post office to handle the volume because there is always a >20 minute wait and I show up at many different times during the day (frequent package sender here, LOL), much less decent postal clerks. The only reason why I gave it a two instead of one star is because the automated kiosk is actually faster than dealing with an actual post office clerk--I love that thing. Its too bad they got rid of the stamp vending machine because now it holds up the line to the automated kiosk because it also dispenses stamps; only a problem if youre in a rush. Also, just go to the Suisun City post office, which is only a mile or two away from the Fairfield post office. Theres rarely ever a line when I go there! (but I dont remember seeing an automated kiosk there, which they probably have no need for one there)

This USPS sucks big time!!!! No one EVER answers the phone! I had to call the manager at Suisun branch to ask about something about drop off times at this awful branch. This post office needs to SHUT DOWN! I was here at 1:25pm on April 28, 2017. The hairy man at the drop off counter at the far right (50s, kinda chunky, looks middle Eastern or hispanic or Greek, not sure- with beard, black hair w/ some white, and i think wears black glasses & wearing blue & white checkered long sleeves) is a real GROUCH. This man needs to get fired or transferred to a dept. not concerning customer service. This is located in ghetto Fairfield so 3 homeless peeps were outside the post office today, with their shopping carts and all! Maybe USPS should just hire them to answer their f%^&ing phones!!!! One homeless one was smiling- he can take the grouchy mans job at the drop off counter :) ps- the other employees were nice, including the supervisor Joy.

Never answer the phone, consistent loss of packages, and the most inhumane and unprofessional customer service Ive ever encountered. The Post Master/manager is just as unprofessional and sets the perfect example of anything less than tactful for his employees. The "not my problem" attitude given throughout this location is something to be reviewed/discussed/reprimanded about. As a child of retired postal workers (mother and father both were post masters of several locations throughout their career), I expect exactly what Ive seen given and dedicated to this posirion4...TIME, PATIENCE, UNDERSTANDING, and nothing less than 100% PROFESSIONALISM!!! From the customer service reps at the front counter to the executives behind them....You guys better get it together!!!

absolute waste of time. they are disrespectful in customer service and so rude when talking to customer. they do not answer the phone. when i went and told them i have called, they told me we dont receive phone calls. what kind of government office is this, that has no respect for citizen and no common sense. i was told that they are a government agent and are not obligated to answer any question if they feel it is not important. they will take their directions from the Government not the public. public will make vote to who do what. what shame on this office. USPS need to investigate this office and possible to fire its customer service and hire more respectful people.

I Agree with peeved again. How hard can it be to deliver a letter to the correct address. My 7yr old daughter could do it. It sucks when your company mails you your pay check and you dont get it. They wonder why people try to use the postal service as little as possible, they are not reliable and they take no responsibility for their mistakes. Not to mention the people behind the counters, most of them are rude and have very poor customer service. Its like going to the DMV. There are a lot of unemployed people that would love to have a job and would work hard at it. If the Fairfield postal employees dont want to do their jobs right maybe they need to be replaced!

These people seriously DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. I am amazed that this is allowed to go on at the United States Postal Service. I am trying to locate a lost package in which the tracking info says its at THIS specific post office, but if I call like I have been doing for the last three days several times a day, and letting it ring for a few minutes each time, they seriously WILL NOT ANSWER. How is this allowed? Who do these people report to? This needs to be rectified. I am thinking a story in the local newspaper, or even sending TV News reporters there might jump start some kind of activity on this topic.

Extremely careless with packages! Ive had many lost and damaged packages and they dont even act like they are sorry. Called about packages i never received but was marked as delivered in the tracking info and they claimed that it was delivered on our property but they dont know where on our property it was left! How do you not know where it was left!? Mail is supposed to be delivered in our mail boxes or on our porch if it cant fit! Where else could it have been sitting?! I asked them where it could have been placed if it wasnt delivered in our mailbox or on the porch and they just hung up on me. Really?

So this post office pretty much lost a package I paid over $60 for. This is the last time I ever order a package through their system/branch. Dont bother calling or e-maling them about any problems or concerns you have about their service either because they dont give a damn about them. In fact, dont even use their service. Go to the suisun branch because at least they pick up their phones/respond to e-mails/have a faster and more convenient service/care overall about their customers. Ill be going there to mail my letters and packages from now on.
