The status of a mail that I was expecting showed Delivered in mailbox but it never arrived in my mailbox, even after waiting for 3 days. So I went to this post office and caught hold of supervisor there and she dug it out of somewhere. So all this time the mail was lying there in post office but still they had marked it as Delivered in mailbox. When I got the mail, I was surprised to see that my address written on it was almost illegible. (it was kind of erased out, you had to hold it very close and see carefully to make out what it was.) So I believe it wasnt USPSs mistake and am glad that they had kept the mail safely in the post office. The mail contained a very important document of mine and hence it SAVED ME A LOT OF HEADACHE. Couple of TIPS: If the status of the mail your are expecting goes from Arrived at local post office directly to delivered in mailbox, i.e. it skips the statuses sorting completed and out for delivery, then your mail is probably lying in your local post office. When you use express mail service, press hard when you write out the receivers address. Apparently there are multiple (I guess 3) copies of address sheet one beneath another that get written through carbon paper when you write on the topmost one that is visible to you. Unfortunately, the bottom most copy is the one that remains on the mail. In my case apparently the sender did not press hard enough while writing and this carbon written address was almost erased by the time it reached my post office.

had to renew passports for the kid. one of the worst experoences with passports ive had. and ive had some bad experiences with them. the first time we went the passport guy was on vacation. the second time they said he had a family emergency. the 3rd time they said he was gone and that made me pretty mad. each time i looked on the website and there were no notices and i called each time but no one ever answers the phone. so as i was complaining about all of this they called the postmaster. it took about 10 minutes for him to get there. during this time i found out that the postmaster had moved him to another duty. so he was not really gone. i finally talked to the postmaster and convinced him to move the passport guy back to his normal job. then another person showed up. i have no doubt they would have turned him away also if we hadnt been there. on the bright side the passport guy was very nice and helpful. i am very glad i wont have to back there for 5 more years. if u can help it dont do your passports here.

My recent visits were way better than what I experienced 3 or 4 years ago. My wait time were short, like less than 5 minutes. The vibe was nice--all 2 to 4 clerks seemed to be quick, patient, and nice. Jean helped me twice promptly on searching for an international package from Germany, the one which I now doubt to be a possible scam--some ebay seller sent a small package who knows what is was to a wrong address within the same zip code on purpose and just vanished with money as the tracking shows delivered in mailbox. I bet she or her colleagues had seen this scam before but she never mentioned this possibility to avoid me/the trouble. She has escalated the case and asked the delivery person to look it up for me. I almost give up by now but I believe the searching is not ending. I understand we all feel frustrated sometimes dealing with government but these people work hard and they deserve applause, too, when they do great job. By the way, my regular postmaster is fabulous, too!

Tried to track a package during office hours - website claims it is "Out for Delivery" For Eight Hours?! Called the Office at 5:45pm. Automated messaged claims they are "experiencing a high level of calls", (I could well believe that!) Finally after going around the automated roundabout a few times, finally received message that they are now closed ,yet web page says they are "Still Open." Question: "If a package is transferred from FedEx to USPS - do USPS not stick one of their own labels on the packages, in order to track said package? From one of (many!) Automated responses, I have a nasty feeling they may have lost my package! Update: Called a neighbor - mail was incredibly late today. Good news, package turned up, however, the website is still stating: "Out for Delivery........."

I have had a package that was returned to sender and it went back to the Post Office in Redmond WA. It shows it has been out for re-delivery to the sender since 8/17/16. I filed a case with the postal service and my own local post office responded to me which does not help me. They had to re-file the case since it was done backwards the first time. I still have had no one contact me from the Redmond WA Post Office. You call the local number and it is either busy or it just rings incessantly. I can not believe that no one at the 800 number can get this local post office to respond. So my package is just missing..so much for tracking when no one works to resolve issues when you have problems. I have tried communicating via Twitter also and Yelp and still no one responds.

The locking mail box was left open to the elements AND THIEVES yesterday on a windy wet night. There is no one to lock it because the post office was closed when I called last night. This AM no one answers the phone, though I will keep trying. Our usual mail person is wonderful. This was done by the sub. For two days I have redirected a piece of mail delivered incorrectly and they put it back in my mail box. In the mail box are also extra keys for the package lockers. A package was delivered to my neighbors porch completely wrong address... nothing even familiar on it. One mistake is understandable but>>>Pride in a job well done seems to be missing from this Substitute mail person... or perhaps they have been asked to do too much in too little time. Redmond, WA

Horrible. 11:15 am...Came to pick up a package on the Monday before xmas. Busiest day of the year. No signage of any lines. About 50 people in line. ...no one had any idea where to stand. 2 (sometimes 3!!) working the counter. Post master invisible. Hello!! Isnt he supposed to be the manager?!? Finally showed up after I made the lady call for him. He lied to me saying he had been here the past 5 minutes. Ive been waiting 40 and this was the first time I saw him. The line had a dozen of VOCALLY angry patrons. No one EVER apologized for the inconvenience. I understand that usps has no accountability being a branch of a gov agency...but show some common decency.

Package shipped by Amazon for Sunday delivery. Did not arrive. Notice from Amazon suggested using USPS redelivery application which is the worst app Ive ever used. I had no attempted delivery notice (I dont believe there was an attempt) so I lacked necessary y info, and the program bogged down and quit responding. After wasting 2 hours with the app, I gave up. According to the current status, ithe package has now been delivered. Havent picked it up to verify. I suggest that USPS and Amazon need to revisit their processes since there is a mismatch between what USPS reported and Amazons recommendation to use redelivery app. All I had to do was wait.
