Please understand that this is not a negative review based on one experience but many incredibly awful experiences. There is something wrong with this place. I do not know if it is under bad management or if the employees here just hate their jobs, but they are all rude and extremely condescending. I know it is hard to deal with mail. I actually have a job that is very similar; nevertheless, I cannot understand how people can act the way that these people act. I have had so many occurrences when my package was not delivered. I constantly receive pink slips to come pick up my package (sometimes not even that). I have had them accuse me of having the wrong address, yet I have had plenty of packages delivered here over the years with no problem whatsoever by other mail carriers such as UPS and Fedex. If I try to bring up a problem with the people there, they look at me and roll their eyes—might I add that I am very polite when talking to them! The managers do not care. I even had an experience when my package was not delivered and I could not find a pink slip. I went up to the post office asking for my package, however, they would not give it to me! They told me it wasn’t there. I finally found the pink slip nailed to my apartment mailbox (it said that the building and apartment number were not on the package). Well I took the pink slip up to the post office and they then gave me the package. Okay, how did they have it when just the day before they told me they didn’t have it. I know what you might be thinking. You are thinking that this package was attempted the day before but it was not! It was 4 days before. There is no way possible that it was not there. Also, when I looked at the address on the package, everything was exactly correct. I have also had other times when they told me that they sent my package—a package that supposedly had the wrong address—back to the shipper. Yet, surprisingly, it was delivered two days later. Every time I talk to this people they seem like they do not care about anything other than themselves. I sincerely wish that all these people would be replaced or that the work conditions improve enough for them to care. I HATE THIS (EXPLICIT WORD) PLACE!!!!!

If I could give no stars, or negative stars, I would. A package of mine was being delivered to the wrong address. The post office in Des Moines figured this out themselves up-front, called me and verified my new address and stated they would forward it. However the forward appears to have sent it to Burien. I called the Burien post office and a man with an Asian accent answered the phone. He obviously did not want to help me and refused to look up my package by tracking number, instead arguing with me that if I live in Federal Way Id want to call the Federal Way office. I finally insisted he look up the item by tracking code. He got the number from me and put me on hold. He came back and asked for the number a second time, I gave it to him and he got several numbers wrong. I gave it to him a third time. He looked it up and said that the tracking, which he sarcastically implied I could look up myself and that that what the tracking number is for, showed it is in Des Moines. I advised him I am looking at the online tracking as we speak and that it shows it in Burien. I finally got tired of his attitude and asked for his name. He hung up on me. I called back, he picked up the phone and placed it on hold without saying a word. I called on a second line when the first was still on hold, he picked it up, immediately hung it up, then picked up my call on hold and hung it up. At that point I called Des Moines and received exactly the information I was looking for with no hassle what-so-ever. Ill be posting this review anywhere and everywhere I can and tracking down how to lodge a formal complaint with USPS regarding this.

I operate a business that always has outgoing mail. It is delivered and picked up at different times of the day but never this late. It was 4:15 p.m. and I know they stop delivering at 5:00 p.m. We had as usual a large quantity of mail to be picked up and is always picked up whether we have mail coming in or not. Apparently there was a sub mail carrier today and we did not get our mail picked up. I called the post office after finding out from our neighboring business that there mail was delivered and picked up today; I spoke with Phil, who was quit RUDE on the phone. He said if there is a sub mail carrier and we dont have any mail, they wont come in to see if we have any. I simply asked if that was a standard way they worked and informed him that, that doesnt make sense to me, since we are a business. He told me to calm down; however I wasnt angry until he kept saying it. I just wanted to know if that is an official USPS rule, or just "there" rule, it doesnt make sense to me at all. Oh and he asked if the flag was up, were a business there is no flag and the mail sits right by the door as always. I asked to speak to his supervisor at which he was once again rude and said "you can call tomorrow". Then a mail carrier came to pick up the mail and he was rude too when I asked him if it was standard policy for our post office to not pick up mail from a business even if they dont have mail to be delivered that day. Really rude and unprofessional post office, however I do like the mail carrier who we usually have.

I have had workers here tell me one day that I never ordered keys for my apartment mailbox, and magically find the order with the keys the next day. They have tried to double charge me for things. Just today, after I had to go back through the line a second time, the clerk decided I was visibly frustrated and had me wait for the other person. I was frustrated, but only because it had already taken too long to just mail a box so Im not sure how making me wait even longer was supposed to help. If this was a business with any accountability, those clerks would have been fired long ago.

My neighborhood is being constantly robbed of mail. We have asked and the post office has suggested that they install a secure mailbox but nothing ever happens to remedy the situation. When you talk to some one at the post office they seem not to care about this constant annoyance. They never even call you back to tell you the status of the new box or if anything at all will be done to help "Their" customers. I feel that the whole USPS system is broken and full of lazy, ungrateful and hateful people that hate their job and dont care what happens in the end.
