We had a kitchen faucet and garbage disposal that needed replacing. The Domco employee who did the work was very pleasant, thorough and professional, but the prices his company has him charging for stuff is really quite high. It comes out to about $200 per hour youll be paying JUST for LABOR if you imagine you are paying retail for the parts. My biggest gripe, and reason for removing 1 star, however, is with the disposal he installed. When I noticed the 2 year warranty, I called it out with some shock. He encouraged me that most last 5-10 years, though. I trusted this. Big mistake. Go onto Amazon and look up Badger 5 1/2 HP Insinkerator and start reading the most helpful reviews (not the most recent who just installed it). Everyone who has had theirs for at least 2 years will say that its garbage. Most corrode and crack right out of warranty. It sells for $80 and I paid $298, P&L. TIP: if you see a leak from your garbage disposal, its probably corroded. DO NOT LET THEM choose your replacement. Read reviews and go and and buy a quality unit for your plumber to install. One star removed for general overpricing. Removing my old PEX A-stops and plastic risers and installing new shark A-stop outlets with 1/4 turn valves ($10 each at home depot) is normally $95 each and was discounted to $65 each. When you see what those are and how fast they can switch them out, you will not be so impressed by that discount. Switching out the faucet all by itself was $192, and thats not including the price of the faucet, which I provided. $192 Labor for what amounted to maybe a maximum of 40 minutes of work. He arrived around 9:30, and even with a trip back to his store and to a another store to get parts he didnt have (Broadstone has a lot of houses built in Folsom around 2002, guys. Get ready with your parts), which took over 30 minutes, he was gone by 12:30. Thats about $200 per hour. Do yourself a favor and ask for an independent contractor for common jobs like disposals and faucets. This company is charging more than a 45 min. doctors visit and Im pretty certain it didnt take their employees 8 years and enormous student loans to graduate.

Our home is in ElDorado Hills, California where during the Labor Day weekend we found that our sewage pump is not working. We first called the Irrigation District office and a person came on the site within an hour of our call. He confirmed the error and advised us to call a plumbing company. We immediatelly called DOMCO and again, within an hour the crew came and searched for the sump-pump (which was buried at least 2.5 feet in the ground) and identified its location and digged in the ground to access the pump. What a job that was! At all times these capable people were in contact with the office foreman and with his remote guidance they pulled the enormous pump (2 Watt!) out of the reservoir. But before doing these they called their truck which came promptly to suck out the waste water. All of this was done in such a an organized manner that impressed us. Since they had to order the new pump they returned after the weekend, emptied the reservoir free of charge this time and installed the new pump in a more accessible way with a "user friendly" housing so that the next time the service is needed it will not e necessary to dig the ground. During all these activities all the crew (foreman joined them for the installation and himself did majority of the electrical wiring) was so neat and professional and knowledgeable, a true reflection of the customer oriented service company. These outstanding professionals deserve ultime kudos for the attitude and work. I hope DOMCO that you will continue in the same direction and remain a role model for the rest of the homeservice community. Thanks.

I personally will never choose another plumbing service over Domco. I had prior problems with a water heater that I had purchased from a major home improvement store, and I believe that it was Domco that the store had deliver it. The water heater kept failing (strange ... it always quit during the weekends, non-business hours, and holidays - LOL) and the manufacturer of the heater was incredibly useless and totally negligent in addressing the problem. However, Domco was extremely generous and compassionate in sending someone out to get the thing working (at no charge). I finally got the store to pick up the worthless piece of junk and refund it. I then turned around and bought a water heater from Domco, had them install it ... have NEVER had another reliability problem since with hot water. Also, ever since then, I make sure that its Domco that I call whenever I have an issue with my plumbing. Their employee Chris has been out to my residence many times, and hes quick, efficient, pleasant, and professional every time. Im one of those people that believe its very, VERY important to give kudos, thanks, and recognition when you receive excellent service - particularly since it seems that we customers see so very little of it nowadays, even in this bad economy. So on that note, Domco ... please allow me to thank you again for all years of excellent service in jobs well done, and particularly for your compassion and professionalism. And since I know my home sooooooo well, I expect to be looking forward to many more years of excellent service from you all !!! Linda O. - Sacramento

WOW! We are so happy with DOMCO Plumbing! We woke up to both toilets not flushing early on a Saturday morning. I just had surgery and couldnt easily leave house to use a facility anywhere else! Talk about stress! The dispatcher woman was so pleasant. She was confident as to what the problem was-the price was reasonable. She told me could have someone there within hour or so. Eric called me to tell me he was on his way, and showed up promptly (only an hour after I called). He was so thorough, honest, persistent, explained everything to us about the problem and possible future problems and solutions, and was just a decent guy. He absolutely would not give up until our problem was solved and charged the original quoted price. ( I have used the other big plumbing company "B" a few years ago and the guy was sarcastic, did a poor job-installation leaked, and the owner called him every five minutes to tell him to hurry up!) I WILL ALWAYS CALL DOMCO PLUMBING AND TELL ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN TO CALL THEM TOO. This will be easy since I work in a grocery store and I talk to a lot of people! Thank you so much DOMCO and Eric.

I just purchased a new refrigerator with an ice maker!!! I was so excited but... there was a problem... My old refrigerator had no ice maker and no water connections from the house. Even worse, the water connections are on the other side of a large kitchen in a cinder-block house! A few pluming companies refused to run the water pipes because it was "unrealistic" and too much work. :( Domco responded to my request as if they do this all the time and they didnt even flinch. The guy, that they sent out, was polite and professional... He was very clever and had to really think "outside of the box" but got the job done! He was there for a little longer than we had hoped but the price was reasonable and they didnt charge by the hour but by the job!!!! Thank goodness I found this plumbing company! :)
