While we were overseas for a year we stored our personal belongings and extra clothing in a PODS unit. The on-line system was easy to use for sign-up and scheduling, and the automatic credit card payments were a great convenience. Although everything can be done on-line, I did call their 800 number once to clarify a billing question and was quickly connected to a real person who knew what he was doing. The storage unit was delivered (and picked up) exactly when requested, and the driver even called when he was on the way to narrow down the ETA. All the delivery and pick-up drivers were very careful to protect our lawn and landscaping while placing the unit in our driveway. The PODS unit was clean and included several clothes hanging rods built in so that we didnt have to pack all our clothing into moving boxes. Because the unit stays pretty much level all the time, all the boxes and hung clothing were just where wed placed them once we went to unpack after our return. Nothing was even dusty. When it was time for us to come home, I easily scheduled the return of our stuff through the PODS website while we were still overseas.

Delivery was great, storage was great, BUT, I called to ask about leaving empty boxes in the POD, as my 89 yr. old father could not dispose of them any other way, and we were told there would be a charge. I said ok to that charge. Then, then next day, the pick up driver opened the POD, rudely threw out about 15 empty boxes on to a small lawn in a senior community, in torrential windy downpours, and left them. Neighbors complained of course, as would I, as the wind and downpours created an unsightly mess and the maintenance dept. at Rossmoor had to pick them up at the expense of my dad. Really a rude and inappropriate response to us asking that the boxes were taken with the empty POD.

Experience was completely positive. Unit arrived clean and was placed exactly where it was needed. No leaks even though heavy rains during loading. Plenty of wood supports for large extra screw eyes (which I bought) to support tie-downs. I took more than a month to load unit for transcontinental move. Driver picked up unit promptly when called and delivered 3000 miles to new location. When emptied, unit was quickly removed. Could not ask for a better service.

The delivery of our Pod was right on time. I had advised the company that our driveway was a steep downward drive and when the driver got here he totally agreed. At first he said it would not be possible, than after surveying the drive he said he would give it a go. The driver, Garth, was a pro and laid the Pod in the right location. I truly appreciated the professionalism and expertise of Garth and found him to be nice to work with. This was a positive experience!

We used a PODS unit in our driveway to store furniture while having new floors installed. The delivery was right on time and I didnt even need to be home -- just had to let them know ahead of time where to put the unit and which side I wanted the door on. The pick-up was just as smooth. Customer service was top notch and my representative helped me to identify discounts. I would not hesitate to use PODS again for future moves or storage needs.

Had a very positive experience. Was easy making some changes to the pick-up dates and a change to put it into storage instead of leaving it in the driveway by just calling their customer service team. Also the drivers that delivered the pod were amazing and did a fantastic job getting the pod into our small driveway so we could still drive the car in and out of the garage. Based on my experience I can only highly recommend them.
