WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PUBLIC STORAGE. CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT FILED AGAINST CORPORATION DUE TO UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES... PLENTY OF STORAGE PLACES IN THE SURROUNDING AREA NOW THEN EVER BEFORE. The surrounding storage facilities offer much nicer grounds and access times, nevertheless price. Im a contractor using this location for my contracts. Morning access is absolutely with late access needed.... Storage facility and management is fine. Any write up on management is truth. Public Storage and the way they handle you is another story all by it self. About 6 months ago, they had a building security breach. One of the buildings 2nd floor supposedly had been hit. Unit had bee broken into. In this event, corporate decided without notice, to have access times to the property restricted. This can be controlled and given access for individuals or it can be locked down in a group setting. Just like if you are late on the bill, they can lock just you down. Management can override, if they choose. At least that is what was in the past. However, NO EMAIL, NO LETTERS, NO PHONE CALLS, NO GATE NOTICE.... NOTHING.... Official gate notice didnt show until weeks later. Just a piece of paper with magic marker with new times. No such effort whatsoever, was ever offered by this enterprise. Again the facility and management is fine. Building is extremely old but since the security breach, they installed a whole new security system, which of course is tied into your account. This can be controlled by Corp too. Management at this time can not override anything. Which in this case quenches the relationship with property management and the tenant. Soon after the breach, my rent went up by $25 with no notice or any explanation. I wonder what this presents... tenants paying for the new upgrade of security. When I first came to this property access was, 7am to 9pm. 14 hour access. After the breach, 9:30am to 5pm, half the time was cut off. So why am I paying for extra $25. They should be reducing my cost since now I lost half my access. Why isnt my storage half the cost now? A class action suit will probably want us to be compensated for our losses, once they review the original contract... well see... Public Storage has been horrible in doing business when managing with tenants. Upper management has not returned any calls, district/regional manager being rude and passing the buck instead of taking ownership. Nothing has been done for any of the contractors who are using this facility after talking with a few. We all pick this place base on the same reason. Now we cant get to our supplies and tools to work a job with a fair and reasonable time frame. This Corp. controlled storage facility has cost me several contracts due to not being able to get to tools of the trade. I have only been able to get to it on weekends. Even those hours have been reduced. This has been the case now for over 6 months. The only thing that has been done at this time, they adjusted the access hour later to 6pm instead of 5pm. Still cant get to it in that time frame... Need the late access to return equipment and supplies nevertheless for the next work day. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

DO NOT TRUST THEIR UNRELIABLE ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM! After I made a reservation for a large unit online I received an email with a confirmation number, details of the unit, move-in date, pricing, etc. The email also indicated that “To complete this rental, just show up at the property at 17792 Cowan, Irvine, CA, 92614-6012 on 10/22/2015.” I decided to visit the location and complete the paperwork a couple of days in advance. When I called to arrange a time to do that I was told – to my surprise – that the reservation was not available anymore because “the system” had a different move-in date and I didn’t show up. The on-site managers, Sadik and Masuma tried to explain to me about “the system” and that there was nothing they can do, suggesting me to call their supervisor Todd Haynes in Santa Ana. I immediately called and left Todd a voice mail and sent him an email including my confirmation (with cc to Customer Service”), but I never got any response from anybody. I had already made arrangements for movers, based on the confirmation I received from “the system.” I couldn’t find anywhere in my reservation an indication that I had to re-confirm what was already confirmed; to the contrary, it invited me to “just show up at the property.” Can you imagine if I had done that with the movers and a loaded truck? THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE: THEY JUST SHOWED A TOTAL DISRESPECT FOR THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED IN MY CONFIRMATION! So, bottom line, I needed to cancel my movers and I don’t have the “confirmed” space, because “the system” says so, in spite of all the documentation I have in my hands.

If anyone needs storage for a couple months this is the place to be! They made moving so easy, and helped you with any questions you may have. I dont like the business aspect, but the service was amazing! 5 stars for the service Sadik & Masoma . They were nice honest people and found me the best price possible. However there were some flaws about this place for instances the pricing were a bit high but lucky i got a storage unit during the memorial day special so i only had to pay $60 a month for a 5x10 unit. Which was a killer deal. But beware of the hidden fees the company charges, $22 for an admin expense for setting everything up, $22 for a lock ( you must buy their locks), and also dont buy the moving boxes and packing supplies here, they are way too overpriced. At home depot you can get the same box for a quarter of the price. For a company that specializes in moving and storage units, you got to have way cheaper prices than the competition. (in my opinion) Also you may want to wash down the street, parts of the street when i was walking had a foul smell. Also the neighboring units next to each other looked like it was divided by a thin piece of drywall so it looks easy to break into not sure if it was with all the units but i wouldnt feel safe holding anything to valuables in there. I wish there was a trash bin near by incase you have something you no longer wanted. other than that I would have given the business 2.5 stars but the service is what got the 5 stars. - Kevin

After visiting several storage places around the area, when I walked into the office on Cowan, Mr Sadik & Masuma were so pleasant and knowledgeable about the exact size I would need. Not to mention that they exhibit such excellent customer service that we above and beyond the normal call of duty. One time, I had not put the lock on correctly and Mr. Sadik even emailed me to let me know that I need to secure it properly so that no break in would occur. I would highly recommend this place of business and especially Sadik and Masuma because of their pleasantness and also how they upkeep the property. It is well maintained and very secure. They make you feel like family when you are their because of the way they treat their customers. Hats off to you two!!!!
