TERRIBLE place to take your car. Dishonest group of people. My headlights werent working so I spent $320 bucks for them to "fix" it plus diagnostics (stupid decision on my part). After less than a day, my headlights stopped working again. I dropped my car off to them a few days later to figure out the problem and they tell me I needed to replace something else......for $270. I told them I would just take it somewhere else so one of the guys temporarily fixes my headlights to drive home one night. Yet when I get home, all my other lights are on even when I turn my car off. I had to remove the fuse box just so my battery wouldnt die. I took it somewhere else and they told me the thing I got replaced is almost never the problem and I got scammed. GREAT. Eventually, I got it fixed at a different place for $150 because there was some bad wiring and a grounding problem (something these "mechanics" couldnt figure out). BOTTOM LINE: I took my car there to fix my headlights, I wasted $320, the headlights werent fixed, AND I had even more problems with the car.

Horrible mechanic and bad service. Avoid this place just like how the other reviews say. Unknowlegable and flat out rude. They charged my friend 300$ to replace some spark plug wires and change a crankshaft sensor. They assured me the car wouldnt stall anymore after that. What do you know a few hours later it stalls and now the check engine light comes on. I call Scott the next morning to ask why and he was rude to me saying it was my fault that we didnt have the money to actually fix the car and cussing at me telling me to get a better car right before hanging up on me. Avoid this place at all cost!! Just like the other reviews said this place will scam you out of your money without ever fixing anything at all then blame you for it. We all learned the hard way, learn from us and take your car elsewhere.

I had a car problem on the way to work and swung into Star Auto not knowing a thing about them so I was a little worried about what I would experience (especially after reading what is here on Google). They diagnosed the problem as an ignition coil and plug problem, and fixed it that same day. I checked their parts prices against direct parts suppliers and yes, they are marking up their parts but only about 20-30% which lets face it, is part of how ALL REPAIR SHOPS make money. On top of that they only billed an hour of labor after spending over 2 hours on the diagnostic. My 13 year old Mercedes runs like a new car. I had no idea it had lost so much power because of the spark plugs and coil. Im happy to have discovered them!

Thank you Star Auto! After going to a mechanic that completely ripped me off and left me with additional problems, I stopped by Star Auto and they fixed a hose problem I had in about 15 minutes. No fuss, they knew what to do and didnt overcharge me or talk me into additional services I didnt want or need. Of course, I knew what the problem was so perhaps if you arent familiar with cars and need them to do a diagnostic youll be paying more. If you know cars, tell them what you want done exactly they do it, quickly and without a hassle. Really happy I live near these guys. Will definitely return if I need to in the future.

I have been going here for a long time and really liked them. I trusted them and thought that they had really good prices. After getting a second opinion on an expensive repair quote for something unrelated for the issue that I brought it in for (and they didnt even fix what I originally brought it in for!?!?), I found out that they charged me 5 times more for parts that I could buy myself retail, and to make it worse they get these parts for wholesale prices. I also found out that I didnt even need to do the repair! Do not trust these people. They must be starving for business to rip off a long-time customer.

This Auto shop is so sucks!! I checked a car before I bought it. And then this shop told me "Engine has some noise. But no problem.". So I bought it . But after 3 month engine perfectly broke down. Another repair shop worker told me "if engine has some noise, it will be not easy problem. its not no problem!!" And cost. Another repair shop accept checking car for free or few price. but Here is soooooo expensive and no meaning about check. so this shop is absolutely sucks shop!!! I can swear. I think Its kind of fraud.

Scott the guy working the front desk is a manipulative snake. His only goal is get your money, not customer service. I asked him to run a simple computer diagnostic to see if it would run a particular code. He insisted I have a an 85 dollar diagnostic. After he finds out it was a lose gas cap. I tell him how annoyed I was and he only lowers my bill to 60. Telling me that I got a good deal. This place is a SCAM. DO not go here. These people dont work for you they work for themselves.

Awful!!! DO NOT GO HERE! He Left dirty oil all over the inside and outside of my car. On my door, steering wheel etc. When i asked him to if he could wipe it off he got defensive and argued with me. They dont put paper mats to protect the car either and the guy who changes the oil, just gets in dirty and pulls the car out. Oh yeah, and when i parked the car at work noticed my hood wasnt closed all the way...kinda worried about if he remembered to put my plug and filter in right. UGH!

Very unreliable. Came in with a engine light check . they told me it was the caltiytic converter, and the computer. Told me it was going to be very expernsive, but cheap if i did it with them. went to different mechanic, told me it was the fuel pump, everything else is fine. Tried to rip me off! dont go to this mechanic. will take all your money .

This place is bad news. They are a total rip off, are very rude, and VERY dishonest. You can get the same work done for 1/2 the price anywhere else. Do NOT take your car here!
