Jim and his staff are always fair and prompt; the ultimate compliment is reflected in how many people weve all referred to them. On one occasion, my trucks valves got stuck and the clacking noise it made sounded like the engine was on deaths door. Terry, a mechanic at Midas, told me there might be a way to fix it without any physical repairs at all. He put transmission fluid (I think) into the crankcase. He said it might work and it might not, but it couldnt hurt, considering the potential alternatives. By the time Id driven to Main Beach the noise began to fade away. When I arrived home, the noise was gone...and hasnt returned since. Point is, they couldve stuck me for an expensive valve job (or worse), but didnt. No wonder all the reviews on here so far are overwhelmingly positive. Good to see people still live by the Do unto others creed. Thanks Jim, Terry, Juan and everyone there. M. Brown, Laguna Beach

Made an appointment on Saturday to bring my car in on Monday to get the headlight repaired. Showed up on Monday and was told he wouldnt be able to work on the car till 4pm when the appointment was at 2pm. Ive never had a mechanic pull something like that on me. specially when I had come in Saturday to drop it off, but was told he was busy and to bring it in on Monday. Thats when I made the appointment as to not have a repeat. If you need something done at a certain time, dont take it to this Midas.

Promptly fixed our Prius Air Conditioning for a reasonable amount, when the dealer was proposing a sum approaching a national debt ;-o And it was done promptly on a Saturday afternoon. And we didnt have to leave Laguna Beach.

Juan and the team are extremely prompt and professional. I cant see myself going to another shop while living in southern California. They dont overcharge for parts, and the labor is very competitively priced. Solid!
