I just read several positive reviews here about Jiffy Lube and just had to laugh. If you only knew. I used to think the same but was just enlightened by witnessing what appears to be institutional dishonesty. I took in my 2009 Prius today because I was at 65K miles and needed an oil change and my tire pressure light had just turned on. They have their signature service right? No worries, in and out quick and I dont even get my hands dirty. I told them I wanted the premium oil just like last time and that my tires needed air and went inside to wait. After they did their initial checkout they advised that I also get my transmission fluid replaced. The technician showed me on the computer that the manufacture recommends replacing at this time and that he checked it himself and could see that it was now brown whereas it is supposed to be pink. After waiting a little he called me back to say he couldnt change the transmission because it was a sealed system and there isnt even a dipstick. Wait a minute. Then how did he check it? After calling him out on the blatant lie, the manager tried to apologize and say the technician just made a mistake and that it is not their standard policy to lie during the up-sell. Hmm, but what about that computer program he was showing me that said the manufacture recommended changing it. I checked with Toyota and that was a lie too. Programmed into their system!!! To add insult to injury they then had the audacity to try to up-sell me on a radiator flush. No thanks, just do the standard service and let me out of here! On the way out, the manager is their waiting for me again to apologize and tell me all the good things they did for me as part of the signature service. "... topped off all your fluids, checked your tire air pressure ..." Im pretty steamed at this point but say thank you and get in and drive away. But guess what, my tire pressure warning light is still on. Did they even check it? Did they even change my oil? I checked on the dipstick, and looks like new oil, but is it the premium synthetic oil they charged me for? I wouldnt bet on it. I went across the street to Americas Tire Store and had them fix the tire pressure. My advice is to just stay away.

I stopped for an oil change while in the area today, only 3 seats available in the waiting area where at least 5 customers minimum at all times were waiting for auto service. The rest of the waiting area was occupied but Uber reps which seemed odd. I went inside and waited for someone to take my information and ask what services I required which didnt happen until my car was already in the service bay and the tech under the car was draining my old oil. The desk staff called me by my car info, he was friendly and I let him know I was there for an oil change only. He did inform me of services that are suggested by the manufacturer based on my mileage. I thanked them and mentioned that work had already been done, I just needed the oil changed. The work was done quickly, I paid and then checked to be sure oil cap was on, etc. Noticed oil was dripped inside the engine compartment, and also on the fender. Also found dirty oily hand prints on my outside door, the handle, window and inside on the door. Though the service was good, Lafayette is an affluent town and I wasnt satisfied with no place to sit and how my car was given back to me.

They just ruined my engine. 7 days ago I got an oil change. Today I drive through the mountains and theres a bad smell. I pull over and the oil pressure and engine lights are on. I add 3.5 quarts of oil. The lights dont go off. I wait. I buy another quart of oil. I look under my car: there is a massive puddle of oil. I call Triple-A. He says the oil drainage bolt is completely missing. Completely missing. He says my engine must be ruined. Can I post a photo here? Because I have photos of how much oil was lost.

Ive been going there for years, and I always thought they were good. But on the last visit they said my hi-beam headlight bulb was burned out, and offered to replace it. I said no thanks, I would do it myself. Two weeks later I replaced the hi-beam bulb and lo and behold the old bulb was fine and the fuse to it had been removed entirely! No place other than this Lube place had been under the hood (where the fuse is) for over two years, perhaps three years. Take it for what it is worth.

Been doing business with them off n on since they opened, and have always had honest, competent and courteous service. Been back twice in past month, and was impressed in previous visit with ethical way staff answered customer concerns with sound advice and, where appropriate, recommendation of appropriate services .Today, Xavier, Bernie and Maurice were fast, ffriendlyand efficient,and Ienough to make me take up the lost art of saying something nice about somebody.

Very efficient and quick service. The three employees I talked to were all very friendly. The cashier went quickly through all the available options for services but was not at all pushy when I turned down all the optional services and went with a straight oil change. When I requested vacuuming of my seats as well as the floor, they did it without fuss. If you go online to the Jiffy Lube website, you can get a $5 off printable coupon. I will be going back.

Service was quick and straightforward. I dont know how but the dashcam I had mounted inside my car became damaged while they were servicing my car. I was ready to leave a very poor review but the staff, especially Willie, were extremely helpful with this situation and the manager agreed to reimburse my purchase of a new dashcam. I really appreciated the great customer service and the above and beyond effort to make sure I left a happy customer!

It was a quick and friendly service. I had a coupon which left me around $30 out-the-door. I just had to tell them "no" (50 times) for each one of their recommended up-sells. I met this beautiful Korean girl there. That is what the extra star is for. :) **NOTE: they did not vacuum my carpets as they mentioned during checkout.

This place was just looking for every reason to charge me for something extra on top of my oil chang. Filter, extra service, tail light change. I will never go back. I dont know if it is just because it is in a high rent district but most expensive oil change I ever had.
