I understand it is Pepboys and perhaps I shouldnt expect much, however, come on guys, lets get a little more organized here and hire respectable and professional looking technicians. It was a Monday at 11:45am on 2-13-17 and I was informed a 2 hour wait would be needed to install 4 new tires. Two hours in and the car wasnt even on the rack yet. I asked why there was such a delay and the response was "Sorry, I went to lunch and then my boss did." I am not sure what lunch has to do with it but I suspect it translated to "we dont know what the heck we are doing." Finally the car is on the rack and the techs could not possibly care less about completing the job. They were just lazily pacing the shop floor and hocking up spit and expelling it right on the floor where everyone walks and performing this ritual in front of customers. I would imagine the "techs" step in this carelessly expelled saliva and then get in your vehicle, which is a very nice touch and unfortunately not unexpected from the level of professionalism one might find at Pepboys. The entire staff either looks as if they are hungover or ill or just plain unprofessional and this experience definitely reinforced my long-standing and very negative impression of Pepboys. Just plain gross and very unpleasant. (As a side note, this is a company vehicle and I am at Pepboys against my will because my boss told me to perform the work here to save a buck.) Do yourself a favor and save the hassle by avoiding this place and spend a few extra dollars elsewhere to save time and the overwhelming desire to sanitize your entire vehicle because who knows what these "techs" might have left behind. Please understand, I dont like to be this way and I dont wish to write this kind of a review but nothing is more frustrating than a complete disregard for a customer and their time. I dont know if Pepboys will get their act together as I will never be coming back, however, perhaps those who read this review and still visit anyway will find a major improvement and not experience the same as I have. Now lets wait for the platitude response "We understand your time is valuable" to show up below from someone at corporate that doesnt appear to be making any changes to correct the very same complaints made by other reviewers over a year ago.

So bright are your lights, but not your employees. Simply coming in to return rotors I didnt use I spent 5 minutes explaining the situation, and then another 2 explaining that to the lead/manager. Back on the card it went my business here I thought was done. I decided I may need some more things so afterwards I mozy around and after asking the help desk some questions I realized he knew less than I did and chose not to use this Pep boys for anything else. Parking lot is tight and the building is hidden, but its much less busy now that Frescas is gone. They should really call Pep Boys. DIY central, buy the parts here and know what you need. Dont come like a newb because youll probably waste time and money and with a little tutorial probably do a better job. I only say that because the guy tried giving me tips on changing my oil and stating I should go from full synthetic to partial considering he knew almost nothing about my car. I also think its funny how the cheapest trinkets are scattered all over the store and if it wasnt for better packaging youd probably find some of them in Harbor Frieght. 3 years later my update bumped the rating. Apparently i only change my brakes every 3 years because i just ordered pads and rotors again, but this time Larry was super helpful when i called and tried to bump up my online pick up time from tomorrow to today. He also pulled some magic to work around an inventory deficiency and get product to the store this afternoon instead of tomorrow. I hope i dont have this car in another 3 years when my brakes go out again. its already better just with the online ordering, sourcing and discounts. Also their website has compatibility of parts feature now.

Worst service ever! On Wednesday Oct. 19th at 1400. I went in for an engine diagnosis, I waited for over 2 hours with no call. I called and the service team replied they have not worked on my car. 10 min later I walked in to take my car to good year. service member Andrew replied " we worked on your car". 1) how could my car be fully checked in 10 mins? Andrew replied with an rude attitude "they just did", service team, the mechanic and manager said they had the part And will be able to fix it in an hour to an hour in a half. I agreed. Because any way ill be paying for no service. I leave and come back over an hour. Never got any calls, when I walked in they said they dont have the part it was the wrong part! I have been patiently waiting For 5 hours. I reply back "May I speak to a manager"? Andrew rudely replied "HE ISNT HERE. I replied "may I have discount over this really crappy service"? They have all ready priced matched with good year to $60 but how am I sure they actually did their job? Andrew Replied "the guy with the rude attitude I cant do anything for you"! as I was speaking on the phone with my father and you replied "shut up! Please stop! Ill give you $20 off"! I end up leaving At 1700. I called the manager the next day At 1300, the manager replied " I have already spoken with Andrew, but he never got the story from the Customer. Engine diagnosis Pep boys $89.99 Engine part pep boys $80.00 Service labor work pep boys$70.99 Engine diagnosis good year $60.00 Service labor work $N/A Engine part O Riley parts $45.00

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! as the previous reviews state, except for the one by Chalise about tires, which any place can do without a problem, they did things terribly. I reside in Seattle and was in Irvine doing an internship for the summer. Took my car there for regular maintenance. they were able to talk me into fixing the radiator, changing the oil, and replacing the thermostat. What they forgot to add is changing my TRANSMISSION FLUID!!!!! As I was driving to Seattle the transmission started to slip and had to get it fixed at the border of OR and CA. When I finally got to Seattle, my transmission is totally ruined. Now my car is sitting in the parking lot of an Aamco as I go back and forth with corporate and the manager of this store, Ramon. I was also in contact with Peter, the district manager. Both are very shady, but that is just my personal opinion. I regret going to this Pep Boys because I dont have an efficient means of transportation. All I can do is wait for corporate to say what I want to hear. Being a college student at the UW, what else am I suppose to do... The Pep Boys way really made things rough for me. The service was terrible, I was lied about how long it was going to take, and they treat customers like idiots. PLEASE DO NOT GO THIS STORE, AND IF YOU DO, YOULL BE SORRY
