Although the workers in the office are helpful, the department as a whole is not. They NEVER answer the phone when you call, passport help is first-come-first served and you can wait in the hall for hours (San Ramon office takes appointments), and packages they dont want to deliver because they are an inconvenience are marked as undeliverable - incorrect address. Recently, I was left a note the package was too heavy and I would need to pick up, yet online it was marked to the sender as undeliverable - incorrect address. Im not getting the package and they can handle it again to ship back. The sender is reshipping and using FedEx because they deliver to your door. We also had problems with our mail being stolen out of our mailboxes at the street so we replaced with USPS-approved locking mailboxes. Even got approval from the postmaster personally approving the lock so that we could add an extra box for securing outgoing mail. However, the carrier wouldnt open it because she wasnt getting paid to open an extra box. She also complained about the locking boxes and how hard it was to put the incoming mail in the slot. Boo hoo, do your job!

In the many years I have lived in Livermore, never have I had a pleasant experience with this post office. The staff is rude, the lines are long, the phones are never answered. Its as bad as the DMV. My latest problem is what has caused me to leave this review. I dont know where my regular" mail carrier went, but all of a sudden it seems my house as been bumped to the end of the daily route. Three days ago, my mail was delivered at 7:30 pm. Except it was only partially my mail. I also had two other pieces for two other people at two other addresses in my box. So I left them in my box, with my little red flag up to notify that I have outgoing mail. Next day...no mail for me, no one picked up the outgoing mis delivered mail. Next day after that.... no mail for me, no one picked up the outgoing mail yet again. They are not even bothering coming to my house anymore because by that time its so late. I get it. Its the Holidays and they are busy. However, its the Holidays and I am expecting mail! Just because I am now last on the route, doesnt mean I should be skipped, overlooked and forgotten. Its just depressing.

The staff seems trained to move as slowly as possible. Every last person in there moves like a tortoise. They are not unpleasant people, but the obvious lack of concern for the experience of the "customers" is palpable and comes off very badly to me. On the bright side, you can buy a stamp for your package on site when they are closed, which is helpful, and leave your package to be shipped through their drop slot, also helpful. The downside is the label you buy is just a piece of paper, so youd better bring tape to affix it to your package. Theres just no creativity, no way to leave feedback, no employee motivation to excel, and not enough good to make up for the lackluster staff attitudes, so I give them 2 stars.

Walking distance to downtown Livermore. Besides having retail hours M - Saturday. The lobby is open conveniently opened from 5 am - 9 pm Monday - Saturday. 5 am - 6 pm to drop mail, use the self-service mail kiosk, or get to your rented P.O. Box. There is a passport office with walk-in hours. Ramp and automatic disabled handicapped button to push to get into the post office. There is parking lot in the back and street parking.

The worker s attitude is very bad and they try to kick off all the customer by tough mode. We feed these people by our payment and tax , and we get worst service in the world. This is why USPS run into bankruptcy. These workers get paycheck and do less work as possible as they can. They try to kick off all the customer by tough mode.

They sell stamps here at a self-service ATM. The parking could be better but not bad as some others Ive been to. Cant say anything for other aspects as I havent used them but they seem like nice folks - even when I was there last minute with a coupe questions they answered kindly, given the circumstances.

The workers here are rude and ignorant. They never answer the phone, so its a bad idea to call them. They make many mistakes in mailing letters. We missed a bunch of governmental letters because of them. These people totally suck, worst place to go to for picking up your packages.

Nothing about their service, thats why I have a PO Box...but I notice the guy raising the American flag one morning just let it sit on the "ground" while attaching it to the pole. I tried to explain to him the American flag educate but he could have cared less....unbelievable.

Up until recently I went to our Livermore post office weekly. If the lines are long it is because they are understaffed. I have never found any of the same employees I have seen for the past 12 years ever be rude to me or anyone else. Great people.

The phone always just disconnects and they simply delivered mail the completely wrong address. You had one job...well two I suppose: pick up your phone and drop off the mail at the correct location.

There is always a wait here and the line moves slowly. There are usually only 2-3 clerks available at any given time. That being said, the staff are infinitely patient and pleasant.

Actually, there is a parking lot behind the post office, and a drive through mailbox at the exit to that parking lot. This parking and mailbox have been there for years and years.
