I gave them 1 star only because it does not let me put zero stars. The people here overcharge for everything. The service is expensive, the parts are so expensive and they change things that do not need to be changed. They are pushy and make you feel like if you do not change a part your car will have a big malfunction. Then, I took my car to some other shops for second opinions and it was not needed. If I wanted to pay that much I would go to the actual car dealership service, instead of a sketchy place like this. Worse experience and service , my advice is to avoid going to this shop and choose a different one. I was deceived by the comments on their website, but realized they were old and not true anymore.

I have been going to German Auto since I was 16 and had a 68 VW Beetle. Dave (the mechanic and now the owner) has worked on all of my cars ever since - including a 328 BMW, VW Jetta VR6 and 2001 VW Beetle. They are always honest about what work needs to be done and what can wait until a future date. Every time some part has broken and been replaced they show me the old part, what exactly broke and explain why it was causing a problem. If you have a german automobile I highly recommend you take your car to German Auto for any repairs or maintenance. It is great service at a good price.

The service and the great prices at German Auto in Long Beach are second to none. Honesty is one of the most important qualities in a car repair shop and I feel that I can trust Trevor, Dave and Saul when they repair my car and give me the bill. All of my repairs and modifications are done very professionally. I have been going to German Auto since 98 and have had my BMW 320 and VW TDI Jetta serviced by them. Theyve even serviced my Toyotas over the years

German Auto in Long Beach is about as good as it gets. The owner and mechanics know their stuff, and get the job done quickly and at a price that is far better than the dealership. I have had my R56 in twice now for work done after the warranty has ended. I can honestly say I trust these guys 100%. Anybody out there looking for a Mini Cooper mechanic, any foreign car really, these guys will take care of you.

I was visiting Long Beach from the Bay area and my brake lights went out. I took my car in and the guys fixed a broken wire problem on the spot. They replaced some incorrect bulbs and put in some spare fuses. They checked the oil and tires etc and I was on my way. We had a great chat and a few laughs. A very reasonable bill and all in all one of my more pleasant mechanic experiences. I highly recommend.

I had an emergency of overheating on my way to work. I googled for GERMAN auto service and this mechanic came out. I explained him the situation and how i need it as soon as possible, he told me it will take couple of days to diagnose!!!!??!? I would ever never come here if I really didnt have to.. go somewhere else if you are not caught up like me

BMW of Long Beach recommended them after refusing to fix my 1984 BMW.I have had nothing but honest and great service from them for over 6 years. I now have a 83 Mercedes I bought from them and still swear by them. Honest and a great value. I will always buy a German car so they can remain my mechanics! Thanks Dave and Trevor!

I have a 1990 325i BMW that still runs till this day. I dont trust anyone else in getting it to run perfectly than ever. Trevor and this team work wonders at such a great price. Great customer service and Great work. Im a fan and a promoter of this place.

This place is special for those who need good, fast,and fair German auto repair service. I have been coming to Dave and his son Trevor for about 3 years for work on my 2005 BMW X5. Treir mechanics are excellent. Did I mention their prices are fair!

Trevor, Dave, Sal, & Bruce are fantastic mechanics. All are extremely knowledgeable and will not do more work than is necessary. Might be a little pricey, but I have never had any problems with the work they have done on my three cars.
