Steer clear, we have taken our vehicles to this particular Midas for years for oil chages, recently we decided to have them check the brakes on our vehicle and they came back with a list of things that were wrong with them, and a rediculous price. I decided tob pick up my vehicle and take it to my workplace mechanic, who disagreed and showed me why he disagreed with what Midas said. I am not a brake expert but what he showed me was true and Midas was trying to rip me off. Workplace mechanic could not do the work at the time so I took to vehicle to a local brake shop who also disagreed. The 2 mechanics that I took my vehicle to after laughed and said that Midas was trying to rip me off. Both of them showed me my brake bads and what the people at Midas claimed was not the case. Sad sad sad that Midas employees would try to take advantage of a long time customer. I will not be back to this place and am actually reporting them to the California Air Resources Board which looks into fraudulent mechanic service shops.

I was in need of some brakes for my Honda Fit. Upon reading the reviews, I was skeptical about going to Midas on Anaheim Street but I knew that Midas has a great name when it comes to Brakes. I called Anthony and he was very pleasant on the line and he gave me a competitive price. Upon arriving at the shop, I shared with him the information about the bad reviews and asked him if I should still use his shop. He explained to me that everyone has opinions and mostly the customers with bad experiences tend to go and voice their opinions which I agree with him. This is why I am writing this review to let you know that this place has a first class operation. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a complete brake job. Anthony was very courteous and he knows what customer satisfaction is all about. If you give them a chance, you will always go back for service!

OVERPRICED, Horrible experience. Car broke down, so they added on a bunch of unnecessary, overpriced items without telling me after it was done. I didnt need $75 spark plugs to fix my starter, but they added it and charged me without asking me (in addition to ~$300 of other items). Additionally, they promised to pay for my rental car for 1 day, saying my car would be ready in 1 day. The next morning, they called tried to give me my car back, and when I refused (i was already on the way to work), they said I would be charged the extra day of the rental car. I got a call later that day saying my car would take another day of work, MEANING THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME MY STILL-BROKEN CAR TO SAVE PAYING 1 MORE DAY OF MY RENTAL. When I picked up my car after the second day, they still tried to charge me for the 2nd day of rental. Out of control.

After reading these reviews I feel totally taken advantage of. I knew something wasnt right when I went in for my front brakes and was told they ALL need to be replaced (they were all replaced a little over a year ago). I questioned him on this, but his explanation made sense (to someone who knows nothing about cars). I also noticed a bit of condescension and was offered a ride home too. My breaks seem fine so far, but I will NOT be going back to that place. I feel my trust was violated. The Manage will offer more services than you need. And when theyre not in your budget, hell drop the price a little and/or possibly give you one at no cost. This way you feel good about unknowingly being ripped-off. This was my experience.

Seriously this was the best experience I have ever had with my car. I noticed my oil was leaking and I took my car in to a little auto shop I saw near my house to get it quoted. They told me it would be $6-$700 at the cheapest and that I needed to get it fixed ASAP before my car breaks down...... I decided to take it into Midas today and within one hour my car was completely fixed and it was FREE. There was no huge issue all they had to do was replace my oil and the plug, and they did it for no charge. Forever greatfull to them. Definitely the place to take your car. 5 stars!!!

I didnt even need a muffler! I got stranded in my mobility scooter, I needed to plug it in for ten minutes or so . I asked two other businesses and they both told me no. Anyone could clearly see my leg was in a cast and I was disabled and stranded! My scooter barely made it in the door at Midas. When I explained my dilemma, they were very accommodating. I will definitely take my vehicle here and recommend them to friends! Thanks Midas guys, you are the best!!

Feb 28,2012...I went to this shop because i was starting to hear noise when i would use my breaks. i got my breaks done through midas before but not this particular shop. but when i stepped in the workers were very helpful. i didnt have the money on the spot when i went in because i jus wanted an estmate but they helped me set up and midas credit card with them so that i was able to get my breaks done that same day....thanks midas sharpie.T

I recently took my 05 Toyota Matrix to get replacement front brake pads. The manager said that all my brake pads were worn out, and were making metal to metal contact. I knew this wasnt the case, as my uncle(who is a mechanic) did a rear brake job when I was in San Diego, visiting. If that wasnt bad enough, they also wanted to replace all the rotors for a grand total of $800!!! These guys are total crooks!

Outstanding service! Work has always been high quality and done in a timely manner as well as affordable pricing. After only 2 or 3 times there everyone that worked there knew my name. All courteous professional and friendly. Havent gone to any other places since I started going there. Customer service is on point. Id recommend this establishment to anyone looking to get work done on their cars.

I went there in June 2008 and they were very helpful in diagnosing the problem with my van and so I went ahead and got it fixed. I had already shopped around and I felt the the price they gave me was reasonable, and so far I have not had any problems since. Overall very happy and have found my new mechanic shop. Recommend this shop to family and friends.

Total rip off. I went to them for my last oil change and just found out that they charged me and likely didnt even do anything. The old filter was still on my car 3k+ miles later with a rusty rim and incredibly nasty black oil that was nearly run dry! They also said they topped the rest of my fluids, even though my power steering was left empty.

I had my car towed there because it was only 2 miles from my house. When I arrived, I received great service. They diagnosed my car quickly and even gave me a ride home. They explain everything in detail about the problem, the price, and labor. I will be returning there for all my car needs in the future and my husbands car as well.
