My mom and I walk in, straight to the counter for DMV services. The lady with a strong accent takes us and says we have to fill out 1 paper before she can help us. As we start to fill it out she takes the next guy in line. It takes us 1min to finish. The lady keeps telling us shes almost done, just one more minute, were next in line. The guy (who is super cheerful, nothing against him) ends up starting new coverage AND renewing his current coverage. We end up waiting 20min for a transaction that took less than 5min to complete. The lady tried being friendly and fast, but being fast isnt her strong point. She ended our transaction with a smile, but next time waiting that extra minute would help the customer to decide to come back or to just go online.

The lady who helped us with a title transfer, told us she couldnt do the change because our smog had to be done in Los Banos, We had it done in San Mateo. So my husband went to AAA in San Mateo County and they did the transfer, no problem. Said that what the lady told not only me, but my husband a few days earlier, was wrong. Dont let them try to route you to get your smog in LB. She was saying that even tho we had a smog receipt , is was not valid. She was wrong. We have logged a complaint with AAA HR. One title change took 3 trips to AAA . First two were horrible and the lady at the DMV counter was very rude.

I was there a few minutes before closing and suddenly, they couldnt help me, but said they would call me first thing in the morning. Didnt happen! So go early. It is nice they still carry lots of maps, including wine country
