Been renting a storage unit for a few months here before. I chose it because I have had great experiences with Extra Space Storage on the east coast previously, as well as its close proximity to where I work. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rates may seem a little high, but still very reasonable, and its well worth the money versus many other storage places Ive checked out. The facility is very secure. There is a keypad entry, and a keypad governing the elevator. You can only access the floor where your unit is located. ESS makes sure that your unit is always locked, and will report to you if they find it in an unlocked state. I once left my unit unlocked in my haste, and within a couple days, they called to let me know about it. Nothing was missing or tampered with, despite my mistake. The facility itself is very clean and well-lit. I have looked at other facilities that allow people to rent and live in the units, and you wont find any of that here. Ive always felt very safe with this facility. You really cant ask for more from a storage facility!

My husband and I spent half the afternoon looking at storage facilities in the Los Gatos area near our business, We arrived at the facility just as they were closing up for the day around 6pm, Michael the manager was so nice, he did not seem to be put out at all, was very personable!!!...Although this was a bit higher in price it was well worth it, MUCH cleaner than others we saw, and MUCH more secure, New age kind of music playing in the speakers...NICE... Michael the Manager lives on the property, access 6am-10pm, he said he walks even at 10pm to insure safety..he wasnt kidding, we made our last load at around 9:45pm and behold...we saw Michael walking with a Flashlight...made us feel that our property will be o.k. here!!!...when you go to a storage facility at night and see a muscular guy walking around monitoring the place...Made us feel it was worth the couple extra $$$$!!!!

I only have great things to say about this place. From the sense of security I get to the cleanliness of the place, Im glad I chose the Extra storage at this location. But most importantly, the customer service that the staff provides is exceptional. Mike, the manager is usually the one who assists me and he is always of great help. I can definitely tell that he has years of experience being a manager at a storage space and that he prides himself in the work that he does. He has always made the transition from one unit to the next, extremely easy for me. In addition, he is always patient and willing to cater to a customers needs and I can very much appreciate that. The other day, I met a new staff named Andrea who I found to be very helpful and amazing as well. I recommend this place to anyone who currently is looking for a storage space.

Ive used your storage facility for years. Recently I wanted to downsize my space. I contacted DPring about doing so and she is amazing!!! Her help with is made the transition so simple. Celia is a real asset as well. I was already physically tired from sorting through my big storage and not looking forward to the task of moving it all, but DPring made it it more pleasant. As I was moving my items I heard her assisting another lady that had lost her key. The woman was upset and I could hear DPring telling her it was "no problem" as she sawed the lock off for the woman. I spotted both DPring and Celia waxing the hall floors that always do look so clean and nice. I was really impressed. Impressed enough to find a bit of time and write this review. When my mother passed away, I needed to find a little storage unit to keep her things until I have the time to go through them. I have never had a storage unit before, and Denise made the whole experience very pleasant. I love my little unit!! The place is super clean, and I really appreciate the great security. What I have enjoyed most is the fantastic customer service from Denise and Don. I am semi-retired and on a very tight fixed budget. When it occasionally becomes necessary for a rate increase, Denise and Don have been so very understanding of my situation and have kept my increases very reasonable. I am extremely appreciative of that. I plan on keeping my little unit for many more years, and I look forward to dealing with Denise and Don. You could not ask for a nicer location, or nicer people!!

This EXTRA SPACE STORAGE facility is spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and expertly staffed. Nothing but praises since I first put a lock on my unit over 16 months ago. After a recent visit to my unit, I received a call from Michael -- manager of the facility -- during a routine "lock-check" he discovered that I had inadvertently put my lock on without fully engaging the door bolt -- in other words, the unit could still be opened even though the lock was in place. While there are no treasures from the Titanic in there, I still appreciate the call to alert me of my miscue while locking up. THANK YOU EXTRA SPACE STORAGE! I give this facility and the people that work there the highest recommendation!

The facility on University is very clean and well looked after. Weve had no problems with our storage unit, which weve been using for just over a year. My only gripe is that Extra Space Storage forces us to carry insurance on the contents of our locker. We had the option of buying it through them (relatively expensive) or buying it through another insurance company (relatively cheaper), But did not have the option of not carrying insurance at all. The insurance thing, I think, is just another way these guys have of squeezing another few bucks out of their customers. Kind of like rental car insurance. Its annoying, but what can you do?

Ive used many storage facilities over the years and NOT ONE compares to how professional, clean, and high tech the Los Gatos Extra Space Storage is. Initially I thought the prices were high, but the representative who greeted me in the lobby matched their online price which was lower than the Public Storage down the street, AND gave me the first month for free. Most competing storage facilities do not offer their online price when you just walk in. Automatic lights when you walk in, alarmed units, security cameras, and air conditioning all add comfort knowing my goods are safe.

Incredible experiences at Extra Space Storage. I currently have an aunt who has a storage unit at this location and we love service weve received. The storage facility is located on University Ave, cant miss it. The staff is professional, courteous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. I love the layout the of the storage site. Its very easy to navigate and clean too! At other previous storage facilities, we have had horrid experiences, but with Extra Space Storage. We plan on being here for a long long time. Highly recommend this location to anyone and everyone!

Michael is the best property manager I have ever worked with in renting storage spaces over the past decade in California and Minnesota without exception. He is pleasant, smart, quick to identify solutions and makes the process of interacting with Extra Space an absolute joy. I have used three different space rental companies during this last decade and Extra Space has always been the best of them. Now, I have encountered the best of the best working with Michael who has recently been assigned to the Los Gatos property. Great experience, great service!
