I have been racing sailboats out of Marina del Rey for about 20 years and California Yacht Club is really the only spot for professional racing and competitive private sailboat racing. There are a few other local clubs that work well for family racing and maybe the other clubs will get more pro racing soon. There are many amazing long time members at this location but in the last couple years they have let in some new members that are not welcoming to people they do not know and they even block the entry gate as if it is somehow keeping them safe. Great kids program, delightful pool, saunas are available, the food could be more healthy, they currently do not have any good beer on draft, the piano works great, the star boats are competitive!

Its very hard to find a parkin for my bout! Easy way to get in way harder to pull out !! Marines ( sheriffs)always pull ous out!! Watch out for popos( police) make sure you got registration all stickers are valid they look in benocalas! Hot place 5-0 all over!!!

Fabulous view of yatchs & Marina del Rey.!! It is very enjoyable to enjoy the nautical decor of the werehouse restaurant which overlooks the California Yacht Club. It is very relaxing to view the bay & the adjoining Marina complexes.
